- Over the many, many decades since Tiffany went into business in New York, they've worked with some of the most respected names in watchmaking, including Rolex, and Patek Philippe (for instance, you can read about the annual calendar Patek Reference 5396G released with Tiffany in 2012 right here; and as an example of a collaboration from years gone by, there's our coverage of a wonderful Patek/Tiffany split seconds chronograph, dating from 1960. However, the CT60 is something else again - we took a first (and very detailed) look at the new collection, which was inspired in part by a watch given to Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1945, right here. Initial response has been really positive, with the collections offering a great mix of classic/contemporary, and more overtly vintage influenced designs, and we recently had a chance to sit down with two gentlemen from the firm - Nicola Andreatta, vice president and general manager for Tiffany Swiss Watches, and Jon King, senior vice president of Tiffany & Co., who broke it down for us live. Beautiful watches with really clean lines, especially the blue chronograph with the two subdials. I agree with the guy in the video: these watches look timeless.
Wow the seconds hand on that chronograph needs adjusting badly. So jumpy.
good for them to be getting back in the game in a way...
"Lot of value for the money, and that's something very Tiffany...." Wtf??
peleti027 That is very unfortunate 'Americanism' - giving the best value. I do not disagree with such an approach (hell, Journe does 18k movements for the same reason - he feels people should get more value for their money), however a line needs to be drawn somewhere. Unfortunately Tiffany didn't realize that.
I hope Archie adds these to his collection.
I am a huge fan of hodinkee. In fact they turned me on to horology, though I fear that they might be veering slightly off course. What makes Hodinkee so unique is the fact that they are extremely particular and niche. I feel that this new focus on contemporary watches (in videos) is disheartening although it'll take much more than few videos to turn me away from their product. I would much rather hear about the history, technical intricacies and aesthetic qualities of vintage watches rather than watch what basically amounts to advertising. Then again this is just personal preference and I also understand that they have to pay the bills.
Faffy Taffy So basically this review was too mainstream for your hipster sensibilities? You should ride your fixie bike around your neighborhood and shake your fist in anger.
It’s a great time piece 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I love it ✨
Lovely
i would get a Tissot instead
how much?
Too much
+La Esco Blanca hahahaaha
Some very cool looking watches in the lineup, overpriced? Who am I to say.
do you one better, they are using Sellita movements.
dial and hands look way too much like the 2nd gen Longines HydroConquest
Everytime I see a new watch appear in Hodinkee video, I know I can't afford to buy it
Tuan Do Because it will overpriced, they even hauk Shinola an Bremount junk.
No offence but do you even care to talk about the more common watches ? How many people can afford half the watches you talk about ? Have you ever stopped to consider talking about the more cheaper yet very beautiful vintage watches like the Universal Geneve Polerouter ? I was trying to discover a new watch that I will fall in love with but on your site I only found very expensive references which is very sad.
Nice watches, but a bit like buying a Panasonic Camera with Leica logo on it.Or Jaguar car,or $5k watch with $150 eta movement.
Value for money?!
I thought Tiffany dried up and blew away in the mid 90's, are they coming back now or what? There was a spot in the game L.A. Noire where Det. Phelps says "Tiffany's, they sell mostly junk." and that would be in 1947. But I think they're bland and a touch ugly like the Shinola and Bremont junk is, which are all sort of tacky too. I guess it's for people that wouldn't know about good replica watches or watchmaking.
Get a haircut!! You know who you are.
so basically overpriced eta mvt watch
vivianyeap No one cares about the innards of a watch. That's like caring about who makes the CPU inside your smartphone. The only thing that matters to normal people are the style of the watch and the brand.
Exactly
Must be a paid review... i don't see the point. Not Hodinkee at all.
RandomUser20130101 for a cpu thats massproduced by machines, no i dont care about how its made and what level of finishing it comes with, but for a highend mechanical movement yes i do
HachiZenki even montblanc is better than that, at least they have now many inhouse mvt incl some very well finished complications
its branding only branding!!!!
Looks quite tacky
Nothing interesting to see here
I'm not sold... very poor presentation, using value for money while trying to sell anything Tiffany is wrong for both people who can afford it and people who cannot afford it. for the ones who can afford it, they dont want to hear "value for money" while buying a luxury item for thousands of dollars, and for those who cannot afford it, its insulting to call something THAT overpriced "value for money". not to mention the uneven movement of the seconds hand on that chronograph. this is a watch you choose to put in a video, and its one with a flaw in the movement... hardly a good indicator of quality.
