Craig brown made me realise I’m just a fickle fan like all the rest. I gave him so much stick as Scotland manager. Little did I appreciate... which is to my shame. Also, why hadn’t he aged any since the 90s? He’s looking great.
The word legend is not enough to describe the man. Right up there with the greatest ever managers Scotland has had.
An absolute Gentleman and deserves the utmost respect. A pleasure to listen to 👏👏
Hairs standing up on my neck listening to Broonie talk what a fitba man !
Si.have watched many of your podcasts.many characters and laffs along the way. Going back to the day.nobaday has mentioned a hive called Eric sheddler. A hard hitting defender who only got one or two caps for Scotland. I think he was the son of a German pow who lived in Scotland after the 2nd world war .get on colin stein. Pat Stanton. Etc. Who were team mates in the 70s.also willie Johnson who played against him on numerous occasions. I've heard he was so mentally and physically tough he would train in the middle of winter wearing just shorts and boots.these guys are long forgotten. I'm a blue nose who luved characters from 60 s 70 s 80 s.chech out the name. Keep up the great work. Andy.
Great guy and the best scotland manager ive seen im my lifetime!!
Absolutely brilliant interview! Craig brown as sharp as ever
Haha “ clean living and plenty of drink “ .. fair play Craig he does go down as a legend of our national game ..
Really interesting to hear about the conversation Craig Brown had with Bobby Robson about how to control Ronaldo. Having watched the game back recently the advice to cut the supply line by marking Cafu out of the game worked pretty successfully.
Great interview.
Craig done a great job for Scotland.
Honest fair man.True gentleman.
Thanks Craig.
Strong work with the Silver Shadows min
Si freaking out at the start there that Craig was destroying the script in one fell swoop. 😂
Great Interview Again Simon,
Brilliant again. Great insight. Looks like Craig Brown wasn't the quiet guy he portrayed to be. Cheers
Best one yet. Thanks Si!!
Great interview Simon..well done wee man this channel is going from strength to strength pal
He always has a good memory for detail
Wow Craig Brown has had an amazing football career and has experiences of most of the legendary Scottish Greats. Some man.
Didn't realise the man was a complete savage in his playing days
79! jesus This guy dosent age, peter pan off football, great man great video 👌
Excellent interview ! Very nice man Mr Brown.
Come across as a very nice guy, Old Grampa Brown when he came back with Motherwell in his latter years he showed he was a good coach.
Looking well mr brown cheers for the great memories it wiz good being at da party wee need another one asap🤯 all da very best good mr brown....great video again m8 well dune son 🤪
Brown is a legend! Under-rated and a true gentleman. Sadly the younger generation got no idea what it means to see Scotland at a World Cup or Euros :-(
Under-rated as a manager at the time .. by me & everyone else. All his players talk well of him, which speaks volumes.
Class
King of Scotland....
John Collins should have took that Penalty against England.
when you gonna get gazza on?
Imagine what we could have done with a proper manager and those players.
quality si, need to try and get walter smith on this sometime soon would have some cracking stories
First question Si should of asked him wis how he didn’t start wi Mccoist vs England
That's disgraceful Rangers never had a club physio/doctor at the club when Craig was their..obviously it was a very long time ago,,but if Dundee had proper medical department why didn't we (Rangers) have one??? I don't get that
Wee broon was a pumper, he was pumping burds aw over Scotland in his 70's..... Fact ⛽ 🐦
Aw Simon great interview but get yourself pair of Sambas son, they gutties have got to go! 😂
Here Si... are you wearing hi-tech trainers? 🤔🤔🤣🤣
U Should Have Taken Ally McCoist 2 France In 1998 Craig,
Stretching the truth a wee bit Craig I think ....So far as I'm aware, Jock Stein insisted Celtic always entered the field second....Predating Ferguson by many years.
Braw
Always thought Craig Brown was a decent guy, mental to think he was last guy to talk us to a major tournament fuck could do with him now as we are pretty fucking awful and have been for years, I cant see the light at the end of the tunnel 😥😫🤔
Craig, what happens to scottish talent? There's a blockage or financial pitfall of some kind? Could the Old Firm do more to produce national talent rather than buy it all up?
And could the scottish government or spfl or sfa do more to 'rescue' sound scottish talents if theyre Out of Contract, In the reserves or unwanted: Eg Leigh Griffiths when at Wolves. I'd like these rescued players to be given, offered to teams in the top two div's. Basically, we need to look after our players!
Will probably be the last man ever
That sums up Craig Brown's management. 'We were through at one point, therefore we never went chasing, we just made sure we never lost a goal'.
Yes, great in defence - but what a boring manager the guy was.
