Craig brown made me realise I’m just a fickle fan like all the rest. I gave him so much stick as Scotland manager. Little did I appreciate... which is to my shame. Also, why hadn’t he aged any since the 90s? He’s looking great.

The word legend is not enough to describe the man. Right up there with the greatest ever managers Scotland has had.

Si.have watched many of your podcasts.many characters and laffs along the way. Going back to the day.nobaday has mentioned a hive called Eric sheddler. A hard hitting defender who only got one or two caps for Scotland. I think he was the son of a German pow who lived in Scotland after the 2nd world war .get on colin stein. Pat Stanton. Etc. Who were team mates in the 70s.also willie Johnson who played against him on numerous occasions. I've heard he was so mentally and physically tough he would train in the middle of winter wearing just shorts and boots.these guys are long forgotten. I'm a blue nose who luved characters from 60 s 70 s 80 s.chech out the name. Keep up the great work. Andy.

Really interesting to hear about the conversation Craig Brown had with Bobby Robson about how to control Ronaldo. Having watched the game back recently the advice to cut the supply line by marking Cafu out of the game worked pretty successfully.

Brown is a legend! Under-rated and a true gentleman. Sadly the younger generation got no idea what it means to see Scotland at a World Cup or Euros :-(

Under-rated as a manager at the time .. by me & everyone else. All his players talk well of him, which speaks volumes.

That's disgraceful Rangers never had a club physio/doctor at the club when Craig was their..obviously it was a very long time ago,,but if Dundee had proper medical department why didn't we (Rangers) have one??? I don't get that

Stretching the truth a wee bit Craig I think ....So far as I'm aware, Jock Stein insisted Celtic always entered the field second....Predating Ferguson by many years.

Craig, what happens to scottish talent? There's a blockage or financial pitfall of some kind? Could the Old Firm do more to produce national talent rather than buy it all up?
And could the scottish government or spfl or sfa do more to 'rescue' sound scottish talents if theyre Out of Contract, In the reserves or unwanted: Eg Leigh Griffiths when at Wolves. I'd like these rescued players to be given, offered to teams in the top two div's. Basically, we need to look after our players!

That sums up Craig Brown's management. 'We were through at one point, therefore we never went chasing, we just made sure we never lost a goal'.
Yes, great in defence - but what a boring manager the guy was.
