Still fun to watch it. Must say that most of the gaproao I had when I was in Bangkok in November was only slightly spicy. Be careful when you're out and about Joe. I caught covid when I was in Thailand. 🤢🤢🤢🤢

This dish is my top fav dish. It's so simple dish but hard to execute. Bcoz it's so simple so it's has to be perfect haha. TBH, I have had much better Pad Krapao from street stalls than Mark's, and much cheaper!. But don't get me wrong, I love and appreciate your content. Thank you Joe :)
sure, there are many cheaper and more traditional than Marks, I have another video of my favourite in BKK, not sure if you have seen it, it is a bit further back than this one. That is my quintessential flavour I look for. But Mark's gets a lot of stick due to the price and who he is. he does use high quality ingredients and to be honest, it is delicious. It is just different, but different isn't always bad. Depends what you crave, authentic, or a modern style
Ate here 3 times. The wait can be 30 minutes or more during the lunch time. The egg is the best I've ever tasted in all of the Grapao I've ever eaten. Deep fried and garlicky with crispy edges; exactly how it should be.
yeah, I think it is fantastic. It is for sure different to the street krapao but it can be so good

When I was a lot younger in Bradford, a place blessed with many excellent Pakistani curry shops, and some not so good ones, there was a place at the bottom of Great Horton Road by the Alhambra theatre called Moonlight. Typical post booze place that was quite lively at times. On their menu they had the bravado challenging “Chicken Ceylon”. Described as very hot, it was a magnet to beer fuelled morons such as myself. I’d had it before and it was clearly very hot, crowned with a pile of green chillies, but it had a lovely dark and rich flavour with it. Lovely. One night I went with a mate who dropped out shortly after starting. I hate food waste so I ate his too. Idiot. The next day when I woke up I was surprised to find no gnawing pain in my lower abdomen. Thinking I’d defeated it I went downstairs to get some breakfast. No soon had I put the kettle on it started. The urgency was mind bending and I ran to the toilet. I got there and did what I thought I needed and went to pull my trousers up. Just as I got to the knees it started again. Long story short, that was the longest 3 hours of my life. Until your bum has dry retched fire for a couple of hours you haven’t lived, or died. I still love chilli in pretty much everything, but you learn the lesson that you only get one bum hole. Use it wisely.
