Loved the video change. Just think, you get to experience the heat & peppers twice, once on the way in and once on the way out. Phil wins the Mark Wien's face.
This was a really good video you guys lol never underestimate the levels of spice when it comes to Thai food that’s for sure!!
I immediately noticed the difference in the filming of this vlog and I’m here to say I love it! It looks softer like there is a soft filter added to it. Also I follow Mark on his channel and you guys are BRAVE!!! 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️
You handled the spice well :) Great video guys. 🌶🌶
Phil handled that way better than I thought he would.
Everyone loves Padgrapao. I like your Mark Wiens-like facial expression as you tried the Phed-Mark Spicy level. Thank you for the nice content. 😁😁😁
I had a curry dish that I was warned about by the waiter. My friend and I both got one and it was pretty hot, but we had a load of beer in us. My friend tapped out pretty early so I finished what he left. Almost fatal error. In the following morning I was stood up for maybe five minutes when gravity took hold and the chaos starter. I got to the toilet just in time and there I stayed for at least an hour. My arse was retching . Hideous pain.
Ahh felt like we just relived that with you! We're glad you made it through!
LoL. That's why you need to you eat ice cream for dessert. That way, when you're on the throne, you can keep saying "Come on ice cream."
Meaning the food you ate was bad.
@@zZiL341yRj736 😂 How can you surmise , he just described the dish as being extremely hot and spicy, so that was a no brainier.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Deana is a champ! You both handled the level 5 well🥵. The spiciest food I’ve had was a crawfish boil. It hurt but I couldn’t stop eating
as thai person. i think we do not usually eat the chili they serve as garnish such as stir fry basil. but if you love spicy just do it.
Deana & Phil , it's so funny , I had watch many different guy making video about Mark Wien restaurant spicy food , but , the same , starting smile , finish with tears down 😂
The spiciest thing I have ever eaten was something I actually made for my spice-loving fiance a few months ago. I really did not mean to make it so spicy. But I made a tomato-based sauce with Hungarian chilis and some Mexican chilis I had leftover, mixed it with Turkish spicy chilis we had gotten from an outdoor market and some normal Spitzpaprika, and then added pasta and spicy Kielbasa. It was great, but almost too much for me to eat. I managed to get through it though. My fiance said it was the best thing I ever made for him.
YUM sounds like you had a global chili party!
Killing it. Thanks guys.
Thanks so much, Barry!
I love making my own pad krapow at home. I grow the holy basil in my aerogarden because it's impossible to find in Canada grocery stores
I love spicy food and I love your videos!!!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 can’t wait to come to Thailand to try it myself 😋
We hope you get the chance to visit Thailand!
Been to that area many times. Thanj you for this!!!
Thank you for this video you have given me confidence I’ll be there in a couple weeks going for the level 5 baby😅
I love your food vlogs and I'm always looking forward for the next clip. But I would also like to see more films about the country, culture and people. Im planning a trip to Bali and enjoyed your videos very much because you show us the island and its beauty, not only the food. But that's complaining on a high level. Greetings from Wiesbaden.
you guys r so fun and entertaining to watch
Happy Easter You two!!!!! 🐇
You guys are awesome! Crazy but awesome lol no spicy stuff for me lol
Hey Guys I was just there 3 weeks ago....In the process of attaining my retirement visa for Thailand....In one month I will be a resident. Too bad we didn't cross paths...I would have bought you guys a LEO. Marks is OK, overpriced IMO...My favorite is the Pad Kra Pao lady at Ruam Sab Market.......She is in the corner of the left side of the market. Excellent and only 55 baht......Side condiments - Deep Fried Basil, Deep Fried Garlic, Fresh Cilantro and Thai DEATH juice (Bird Chili's in Vinegar). Was my morning walk for Breakfast/Lunch.....
The hottest thing I’ve ever eaten was when I was 12. We were visiting my grandparents who lived in a Jakarta (grandfather worked on an offshore oil rig). One night the cook made chicken satay with peanut sauce. I heard peanut and dove right in before my grandmother could warn me. That stuff lit me UP. There was much iced tea chugged to fight off the burn.
Yeah, it's called peanut sauce because there were peanuts between the chilis, right? 😂
@@steemlenn8797 Exactly!
haha a core memory built right there! 🌶
Thai food is definitely one of the 'meaner' kinds of spicy. It doesn't hit you immediately...but boy, when it does it can be devastating😂😂👍
My 'spiciest' experience was on a bus trip from Bangkok to Surrathani. The trip included a meal, and so we stopped at a petrol station of sorts in the middle of the night. We got served a bowl of dried fish and a plate of red and green vegetables along with some rice. The fish was uneatable, so i went for the 'vegetables' and the rice...yup, it wasn't common vegetables, it was chillies...my mouth was still burning a little when we reached Kho Phangan the next day.😂🤦🤷
Firstly I wanted to say I just ran across your channel (and this vid) because it mentioned going to Phed Mark and I've been a fan and appreciator of his for many years. Your video was great!
So the seeds in peppers are not the actual carriers of capsaicin. They are coated with residual capsaicin oils, yes, but it's the pith (placenta) in the pepper that contains the heat. Basing the perceived heat on the amount of seeds you see in a dish is a very inaccurate indicator of the pain you about to receive 😁
Thanks for this. Give me the spice, baby!!! 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵😃 I have gotten to the point where I just bring my own dried habanero/ ghost pepper dried flakes whenever I’m traveling… wherever I am I always try to find something spicy locally. In Germany for example I ask for extra horseradish. ❤❤
Love spicy foods and this vid❤️
Wow! You both did well with the spicy hot 🔥 but you like the heat. I can't take it. Great vid.
That was funny😂😅 the mark wein face
Enjoyed the Vlog style of video...making me consider becoming a patron to get more! Really enjoy your channel and all your content...keep it up!
The accommodation is so cosy, modern and beautiful
I love Indian food and a Vindaloo is pretty spicy, 4 peppers on most menus. I had a Phall once (5 peppers) and although I finished it, it wasn't enjoyable for me any more.
For me, if it's not too hot, then afterwards I feel like it wasn't hot enough.
Thank you both
who like to try Thai food

Wow looks so yummy
I’m going there today for an early dinner, moo #5 and Gai #4 for me :)
I've been a very spicy eater since I was a kid as well. In this video, I think Dean can handle spicy food better. But Phil is good at eating spicy too. Both of you are very good. Nowadays, foreigners are much better at eating spicy food and that helped make Thai food so popular and widely known all over the world. Welcome to Thailand. Will you be here long?
Deana you're adorable . Phil handsome as usual. Very informative....great video!
Ive had Korean Fried Chicken tenders tossed in gochujang 3 pepper sauce. It was so spicy but highly addictive. The more you ate the better it was... It left my head spinning from the endorphins.😋
I have a spicy food suggestion for you when you are back in Germany. It's a brand of ramen called Thai Chef and they have a flavor called Tom Yum Shrimp Extra Scharf. It's got fantastic flavor and will clear your sinuses. It's at Rewe in the normal section, not international.
You 2 are too much fun. I like the way Phil says it's not too hot but his face is turning red. The hottest food I've ever had was an Indian curry that was red. I'm Korean so I can take a lot of heat but that was too much.
For super spicy food you need to go north. The spiciest meal I ever had was at a late night drinking spot in Chiang Mai.
I think Som Tam might be spicier with 5 chillis.I think you guys can beat Mark Wiens easily in eating spicy food.Somtam buffet with many chillis, maybe it was like 10 chillis over or even more, but the portion size was huge for like 4-5 people.I remember going to party once and once i started to eat,i deeply regretted going there it was too spicy.I am spicy food lover as yoou guys.Love your channel, keep it up great videos.Missing Thailand.I think if Mark you are reading this comment bring it on!Phed Phed is more spicier in Bangkok
It was in the OBI parking lot. There is a currywurst stand and I asked for their hottest curry ketchup. I thought this is Germany it won't be spicy but then I just sat in the car and cried and sniffled for 30 minutes. The only other time currwurst kicked my butt was the Berliner Currywurst (Curry & Chili) with 10 levels of pain. Level 8 is basically pepper spray.
That Curry und Chili can get really spicy! We tried it out on Deana's first visit to Germany!
OMG, you guys and Mark are acquainted. I follow him too.
They were closed when I went back in September, made a special trip over there. There is a nice Japanese place down the street more towards the skytree though!
I did enjoy the most spicy version at Phed Mark. It's funny the first bite felt crazy hot but then it settled and I was fine to the end. After finishing I had to help a Thai girl to finish her plate as she couldn't deal with the heat. I think the devil level ramen noodles at Karashibi Kikanbo in Tokyo (which Mark Wiens of course has video about) was for me more of a challenge.
I like this style of video.
I love mark wiens ❤
Hey, I love Mark Wiens, and i find you, just curious and i subscribed, love petpet food and i look forward on your tours...👍
Make your bed in mornings to start your day right no matter where you are, it helps to stay more focused later on everything you do.
Na da bin ich jetzt gespannt 🧐🙂
I love your video
This is the best life, 2 dudes hanging together eating and traveling
I ate there last year too.
Congested all the time
It's more spicy than it's prosperous, so it takes time for everyone to eat
It was impressive that I keenly realized that it would take.
Exactly spicy and delicious! Phed Mark!
realgoodtaste
Thos is the first time I heard Mark Wiens has a restaurant. I believe it is good. He won't let his cooks to serve bad foods.
Respect to you Both
OMG, I dont mind spicey but if its burning your mouth how can you enjoy the food lol. Nice video. Thanks and take care.
Cool video. Love pad kra pao and spicy food in general. The spiciest I ever had was some black Chili chicken in a szechuan restaurant in Hong Kong (escalators somewhere, was not Chili Fagara). Came in a huge bow of dried chilis. Could not see the chicken. Started crying already when they put the dish under my nose. Not a proud moment of my life.
I know a native Thai man who was in agony eating at Mark Wiens' restaurant. And he is used to spicy food.
You guys are brave to eat at king of spicy Mark's!
Don't hurt yourselves, kids. Eat what you enjoy.😋😊😘
My wife hates spicy. It hurts her and ruins the taste of the food for her. We went to Lotus of Siam in Las Vegas, and after waiting an hour for a table my Wife ordered something too hot for her to eat. We think they brought the wrong dish. Oh well. My Daughter and I love spice, although not like food challenge hot, just a good amount of heat that you feel. My spiciest try was probably a raw habanero pepper. Was tasty, hot, and not fun. Haha! Thanks for the video!
cheers to my favorite ameuro couple!
You can listen to music Queen of Luk Thung Thai Pumpuang Duangjan
By typing the word "Pumpuang Duangjan" or "พุ่มพวง ดวงจันทร์" at the CZcams channel.
She is the most famous song queen in the Northeast.
Thai people like her music the most.
The southern food of Thailand is the most spicy imo... if you have a chance ...you better try once xD
I've never eaten spicy Thai but have eaten Indian Vindaloo. If you have had both,, how does the spiciness compare?
คุณจะคิดถึงความเผ็ดตลอดไป
Hmm the Spiciest ones for me was Original Isan Som Tam Plara , or Gaeng Tai Pla from the South in Thailand😉😎😎😎
where is this youtuber from , love his accent
Das schärfste war bisher ein von mir selbst gemachtes Chili Con Carne und die 2x Spicy Buldak Ramen, von denen hab ich aber seitdem immer welche im Haus xD
😉😊 m&m peanut helps agains spice strange but it works
Back in the days when G+ was hot, Mark was there. He wasn't nearly as popular ...yet. I always commented on his posts/videos and coined the term #Thaigasm to describe Mark's reactions to spicy Thai food he liked. :-)
Oh, my brave couple. 🎉
I WANNA TRY BUT IM IN CALIFORNIA
ooh god so many chili!!
I am in phuket at Moment 😊but for me its allways just a little bit spicy and this is enough 😅
Spiciest dish .. som tum at a small village in isaan
Another tourist-selfie. Welcome!
There is actually diced carolina reaper in the level 5
Need spicyycam to eat those food flawlessly
I'd cry on Level 1
You forgot to say: oh wow, when you were doing mark wiens.
Forget the milk. Use cucumber or tomato to kill the fire. I was married to a Thai for 23 years.
Tropically, the stir fried with chicken basil + fried egg is only 40-50 Baht in the common food court around Thailand
I like you guys a lot
Funny, I thought you weren't supposed to eat the whole chilies, they are more like decoration. Hope all went well after,Lol, thanks for sharing.
Deana a little bit sadistic: I hope you'll cry!!!
Good luck using the bathroom after that! 😂😂
What bts station is this by.Looks very god must try.
Oh my goodness! 🤭
Spicy 🌶
I love spicy food. Spiciest thing I ever ate was at a Chinese restaurant. Mongolian beef. Cried tears but wow it was delicious 😂❤
If you go to Phed Mark one would have to go for the level 5 as a challenge as this is the restaurant's claim to fame. I think I will go there next time
I’m from Thailand 😄
"mark" sounds close to the Thai word "mak" which means "very". so Phed Mark=very spicy ...and of course Mark is his name.
Heat stacks.
Red chilli just for garnish you don't have to chew it. Just leave it in the plate. 😉🥵🤭
ผัดกระเพราเผ็ดมาก เผ็ดทั้งน้ำตา
Neither of you pulled off the "Mark Wiens" shot...
Mark also mean 'very'. in Thai. So 'Ped Mark' mean 'Very Spicy'
