    i dont underunderstand the direct drive conversion makes not 1 bit of difference

      in my opinion a direct drive conversion rlly just depends on what you want to do, if you want to print flexible filaments then youll need it but if you dont plan on printing flexible filaments then i dont see why you would need it

      makes a lot of difference, no bowden tube that can go wrong and further removes the amount of retraction making it more precise with less stringing. Why do you think all higher end printers feature this? also no bowden tube means you can go hotter say up to 300c so you can use more variety of filament.

      What your talking about is an all metal hotend, the direct drive conversion this guy did still uses PTFE Tube but just on a much smaller amount, it still goes into the hotend all the way up to the nozzle. With the upgrade he did you can not get up to 300 degrees C because even capricorn Tubing melts. To print 300 degrees you would need an all metal hotend which removes the Tube that goes into the hotend.@@andrzejandvincegaming3015
