The durability and reliability of the Hobbywing ESC are unmatched.I had two Mamba Monsters go out in two months and after that I went Hobbywing. Have Max8 and Max6 and after over a year none has ever even sounded funny. They are solid reliable.
The car looks good with the max5. I had loads of problems with the mamba monster X 1/8 esc. I got my first hobbywing max8 that got me 60+mph in my kyosho inferno type 2buggy and after that I got myself the max6 and put that in the kyosho that got the kyosho up to 78.8mph so far. love hobbywing esc units I don't have any problems at all now.
I agree Castle ESCs complicate things.Love the power they produce but damn their unreliable!!!!Had three Mamba Monster ESCs two failed within a period of two months.The last one never failed I had it for a month and a half and I was always afraid anytime I had to start it whether or not it would actually start.They literally produce unease making you doubt whether or not they would start each time you go to use it.Hobbywing is so much more reliable and impressive power and performance to.
