    Thanks for the help last week Charlie. My combos look amazing, putting the 1100kv combo in my Xmaxx. The 800kv combo is going in my XRT.

    Their was a new update for the max 5 gen 2 did the software update fix the throttle delay?

    Planing on getting a MAX4 soon... sad to see that the MAX4 dont have a separate programming port, like the max5G2. Nor does it seen to have the Turbo setting. With my luck, the G2 MAX4 gets released just when I have received my G1 :P

    Would you recommend the newer max8 G2 combo for the fireteam in stock form just 6s bashing/Ripping on off road

      Max 8 G2 combos are great for bashing or track usage , but we do not have a Fire Team or any experience with one to know what "fits" for the motor. If it uses a 42XX size motor, should be fine.

    Can you run 12s on 5692-56102 about 800kv with this esc

    Charlie, I’ve had my fusion pro since Dec 22 and it took a poop recently,
    Started running hot so I removed it, ran a test, tried to reset it but it wouldn’t allow it.
    After holding the power, getting the 7 red blips, then release after green, it won’t reset, it gives 3 beeps and red light flashes.
    Upon manual calibration that failed also.
    And when running the motor from full throttle to zero, they band is inconsistent,
    At full throttle it was half, and as I back off the throttle it jumps to really fast, then stutters to a stop right under full throttle and feels a bit resistant and stutters.
    I tried everything but in the end the motor just got really warm in my hands and I gave up. It’s always been in a lightweight lcg, had it 5 months but I’ve had an 1800 kv fusion for over a year in heavy rigs and it’s still goin strong.
    Did I trigger this or did a sensor go bad somewhere?
    Went to corona Del Mar beach Ca. yesterday without my trusty hard liner and it hurt 😢

      Hard to say for sure. Usually when they "just go bad" for no reason, it's more so that the reason is unknown. Worse case, you can get it replaced through service dept for a discount. We offer service through our offices in CA for customers in North America. Simply complete the online "RMA Form" that is in the Support Section of hobbywingdirect.com

    Kindly I purchased a new Max5 g2 esc combo with 1100kv g2 motor and when I switched it on it doesn't count the number of cells of the battery.
    I checked the settings with the program box and it is on Auto lipo but it still does not make no sound or blinks.
    I also noticed that the rpm readings are too high on the program box but I can not check the settings to see the number of poles to verify that it is correct.
    Do I need a bluetooth module, to check the data leggings or I can still use the program box and a computer?
    In case I need a Bluetooth module could you provide me with the part number or I can use any type of Bluetooth connection for example the one I use for the castle escs?

    There is ONE major thing this is missing. In the RC Heli world many escs when hit LVC they go down to say 75/50% power so you can safely land. Why there is no “get it back to me” for RC cars world is unreal. HW can easily adapt that mentality so when you do hit LVC you don’t have to walk and haul your 30+ lb car back, make it goto a safe only max 25-50% whatever output so you can acknowledge yes my lipos low and drive car back to yourself, unplug and change packs. Wouldn’t that be something @Hobbywing?

      Thanks. Most of the new models do that now. Many users call it "limp home" mode. There is an LVC warning that lowers power. If you continue to drive it stops completely. Some setups pull the battery down so hard, there is no "time' for the warning to work and it shuts down the motor completely.

    Please help. Max5 g2 with 800kv castle running uncensored. It won't even do a burner on dirt. Tried different settings. Rolls slow off the line then it just releases all power. It's in a Kraton 8s. 5mil front 20mil center 2mil rear. 1 to 1 gearing 39/39. This is my first hobbywing esc. What am I missing??? PLEASE HELP
