  • Thanks to Cammus, I am able to give my impressions, thoughts and review their new direct drive wheelbase with its wheelrim too. After trying it for the first time, I can say that I am pleasantly surprised. I've not felt a wheelbase like this one so far.

    A few additional notes after completing the iRacing 24 hours of Spa with the Cammus DD would be that when you are transitioning from left to right turns, you do get a bit of a notch in the center of the steering wheels rotation. Another thing I noticed is that the fan becomes more audible after long periods of use but I only realised it after taking my headphones off after my stints. Some people may prefer a slightly stronger click on the paddle shifts but I personally don't mind too much.
    Other than this, my experience driving with this wheelbase in the 24 hour race was very pleasant and gave me full confidence to understand how the car was behaving at all times.

      I read that setting minimum force to zero in game removes the centre notching , it was a different game but might help

    I like that companies are using that industry standard quick release. Also the bolt pattern looks standard too so you can chuck on aftermarket steering wheels.

    Hi, great review. Was hoping you could shine some light on how the wheel force feedback has improved via firmware driver and software updates. It's been a year so that would be so cool to get your feedback

    Thank you for the review, any comments about mounting issues on tables since there is no table clamp designed by Cammus? Also would be very interesting to see if you will test their pedals which can be bought in a bunle with the base and the wheel

      I did request some mounting brackets which were supplied so I could mount it on a flat wooden surface but it has to be screwed in. There isnt an option for a clamp similar to the ones used by logitech or thrustmaster.

    I'm on ACC PS4. Did they update the interior of the Porsche? The LCD seems completely different.

    How does this compare to the T-GT 2?

    • @unleasheddrivers1281

      It has lot more torque, it's a lot smoother aswell. The main issue for some people would be that this wheel is only compatible with PC but you can get an adapter to make it work. The build quality is really good but the buttons not quite as great as the standard TGT2 wheel buttons. This isnt a big deal though as they still function perfectly.

    Does it has more wheels or just that one?

    • @unleasheddrivers1281
      @unleasheddrivers1281  Před 2 lety +1

      For now there is one wheel but Cammus is new to the sim racing world so they will continue to expand. They already have pedals, a shifter, handbrake, rig and more

    considering it's made by a Chinese manufacturer, it's weird that very few video makers in China making reviews for this gear. Is it for oversea market only?

      Seems to be getting pushed globally. The more people who use them, the better right? I'm not too familiar with the chinese market so I cant make many comments about it though
