  • I replaced my Blower Motor and Resistor on my 1997 Silverado. The motor was really squeaking and the fan would only work on max.

You forgot to take out the brass inserts from old fan housing. They go on the blower housing so screws don't rip rubber.

For me it was just a burnt-up plug as everything worked while it was the power wire for the full speed of the blower as it uses a relay and not a resistor.

I've been trying to find a replacement boot hose that directs air to the motor to cool it. but can't find anything anywhere.

My blower motor was going out so I changed out the resistor and the blower motor and it was a pain for the resistor, but it clicked only on high and didn't engage the blower motor, then I went ahead and put the old one back on and same thing, clicked only on high, so I put the old blower motor back in and it clicks on high and nothing is engaging, I don't know what to do with it now nothing works when I was trying to fix it... pretty sure I plugged everything back in too but nothing... ugh someone help please!
