  • A static review of the Silence S01 7kw 62mph Electric Motorcycle.
    A link to the actual bike is here. www.green-mopeds.com/silence/...
    Green-Mopeds.com is a London based electric-only moped and motorcycle dealer and importer. We started in 2017 by signing a dealership with Torrot (torrot.com/) after initially seeing an electric moped for rent on holiday in Portugal.
    Since then we looked for more brands and became the UK Importer for ECCity Motorcycles from France (www.eccity-motocycles.com/) and then Super Soco (supersoco.co.uk/) from China.
    In early 2018 we were then approached by Askoll (www.askollelectric.com/) to be their first London dealer and soon followed by Lifan who were lauching their first moped the E3 (www.lifanmotos.net/product/ddc....
    Later in 2019 we also signed up with SurRon with their hugely popular and lightweight LBX Lightbee (www.sur-ron.com)
    Mid 2019, we signed up to be the first dealer for Niu (www.niu.com) and sold the first 9 of their new NGT model when it was launched at the end of 2019.
    In early 2020 the UK Importer for Torrot moved on to other things and we became their importer to support existing customers of the Muvi range.
    Later in 2020 after a request from a customer, we signed up with Artisan (artisanscooters.com/) to sell not only their brand but also Horwin (www.horwinglobal.com/) and Kollter (www.kollter.com/).
    Recently we have added ThElMoCo (thelmoco.com) who supply LVENG bikes (www.lvnengebike.com) and now SunRa (www.sunraev.com) and hence offering the broadest range of any electric motorcycle dealer in the UK.
    We have been approached by many manufacturers to become their importers which we will consider when the time is right.

    I have owned one for 6 months and I can tell you it is superb! I has its flaws, like the suspension is not great on bad roads, but otherwise its comfy and powerful, so powerful that you have to be very careful with the throttle in sport mode in the rain! Better use eco mode then. My right knee bears a scar to prove this!

    • @cosmodoc
      @cosmodoc Před 2 lety

      @Brian Jones 5’10, 13 stone, range depends on mode, about 55 miles average

    • @cosmodoc
      @cosmodoc Před 2 lety

      @Brian Jones mixed modes, yes. if you go uphill, you will eventually go downhill as well and it recuperates energy

    • @cosmodoc
      @cosmodoc Před 2 lety

      @Brian Jones about 45 in winter. If you go at 55 mph full throttle on motorway all the time, you get less, if city only, more

    • @cosmodoc
      @cosmodoc Před 2 lety

      @Brian Jones in summer in the city, ridden carefully 70miles are possible

    I just saw a review of the same bike but branded as SEAT, so same bike but different colour scheme’s, I believe they’re only available through SEAT dealerships. Guess they’re branching out. Interesting bike though, I like the removable battery, if I were looking for an alternative mode of transport from the car I would seriously consider this.

    • @GreenMopeds
      @GreenMopeds  Před 2 lety

      The bike is manufactured by Silence and Silence have done a deal with SEAT to sell them. They are the same bike but we would argue that you should look into this with a electric motorbike company than a car dealership

    Loving these reviews! Pricing aside what’s the more comfortable / better bike to ride in your opinion? Silence S01+ or the EC City Model 3? Just weighing up my options over the next couple of weeks. Simon

    The rear wheel looks easy to remove, with only a shock on the right hand side, Is it simple to change the rear tyre?? Or is there cables to worry about like on the NIU bikes?

    • @GreenMopeds
      @GreenMopeds  Před 3 lety

      All hub motors will have a cable

      @@GreenMopeds ok, the Super Soco CPX looks like the rear wheel can be removed without touching the hug motor ... just wondered if the silence 01 was the same??

    How easy is it to change the rear tyre with the electric motor in the hub?

    • @GreenMopeds
      @GreenMopeds  Před 2 lety

      Most bikes with hub motors need the controller cable fed through to release the wheel.

    Very clever battery. On wheels, it's not too difficult to bring inside a rental apartment for charging.
