those opening notes at 1:02 ... goosebumps every time I hear them.. rewatching SG-1 at the moment, having nothing but the deepest love for the show and the utmost respect for the works of arts and mesmerizing actors it spawned...

Today the Suite was performed by the Prague Film Orchestra again. Though Stargate will always have a place in my heart, sitting in a train for 6 hours won't. :D
After all these years when I hear this music still transports me in to that universe and the feelings I've had when I watched at this TV show wishing that it never end, Best TV Show ever.

I always thought Arnold was a poor man's John Barry but Stargate is a great score!
Before he went Bond, he was being labeled as the next John Williams by many soundtrack enthusiasts due to Stargate & Independence Day.
What? He has so many beautiful scores,"Stargate","Last of the Dogman","James Bond","Independence Day" etc.,that's like comparing John Williams and Alan Silvestri and we know that both are amazing.

Heavily influenced by the score to Lawrence of Arabia.
Yeah buddy. That phrygian sound? I sadly don't have an instrument near me at the moment and I do not have perfect pitch.
Either way, that sound is almost as ingrained into the human experience as the pentatonic or major scale is.
Let’s be honest, the series was nothing compared to the movie.
I liked the series more, but the movie was amazing as well.
