- A Michigan woman was arraigned Tuesday on second-degree murder and other charges after prosecutors say she drunkenly smashed her SUV into a boat club that was hosting a child's birthday party, killing the 4-year-old birthday boy and his 8-year-old sister and injuring several other people.

Has seizures, but decides its ok to drink and drive. Stop with all the dang excuses for this drunk. She murdered 2 innocent children 😢
She looks like a casual drunk. No type of remorse either… my condolences to that poor family 😢😢😢.
So what, she drove drunk and killed 2 innocent children. Theirs no excuse, she should’ve known better. Stop making excuses, anyone who’s has a hand in taking part of the deaths of these two babies will pay, God will Judge.
She has a "Significant" history of Seizures dating back to November. Which is 5 months prior. She is on Seizure meds. Which state do not drink while taking medicine. Which states do not operate a vehicle while taking medicine. I know we say innocent until proven guilty. However facts show she's guilty.

I know someone right now that had a seizure last year and couldn't drive for 6 months, doctor's orders, he was fine for a few months then just had another seizure and the doctor told him again no driving for 6 months, I mean honestly if this doctor didn't tell her not to drive the doctor could be looking at a law suit from the family

It does not matter if she lived a saints life prior. The fact of the matter is she is a drunk and got behind the wheel and ruined countless lives. Two young babies won't get to grow up and their parents are now grieving that loss.

She's got a decent attorney. He's fighting for her. But he's also a jerk. She's destroyed a family. She should never be allowed to drive again. She should serve some prison time. Do I think this woman is a borderline saint that just had a bad day? No.
I realize emotions are high but, the defense attorney's job description is to defend his client in a court of law regardless of how horrible the crime is. If you ever require an attorney to defend you will understand that this is how the judicial system works. So the fact that he is defending her does not make him a jerk. How would you prefer he acts in his role as defense attorney; pass judgment and tell the court she is the most horrible person in the world?
Ruined a lot of lives.. no credibility. When she bellied up on hooch, wherever she was.. that car turned into a weapon. I know this, she will be sober now. Years to reflect on her horrible decision to drive that day. 😢

I know 2 people close to me have seizures but do not drink any alcoholic beverages.I take seizure medicine but I do not drink alcohol because on the bottle the meds say no alcohol drinking.

She should not have been behind the wheel of a vehicle period. Can't blame anyone but the person responsible. Two lives were taken for no reason. The pain the family is going through is heartbreaking. The lawyer wants to make it look like she had medical issues when obviously she was drunk. She needs to pay for what she did. No excuses. Again two lives were taken and no parent should ever have to go through this. She needs to be held accountable for her actions.

Who gives a damn what her history is? The only relevant fact is that she drove into a building and killed 2 children.
Her lawyer is trying to minimise her fault due to her various medical issues, but if she experiences seizures or occassional what the heck was she doing driving?? Even if no doctor ever told her that she shouldn't drive (which I don't believe), common sense should have told her that she shouldn't drink, since she wouldn't have been able to predict when she'd suffer a seizure or paralysis. Anyone with those medical issues should never get behind the wheel of a car, whether they drink or not.

The meds say on the bottle, not to use Alcohol because it may intensify the effects of the side effects.
She looks like she's 90. She definitely has had it rough. I am older than she is, and I look at least 15 years younger than my age. I have wine too, but I do not get behind the wheel if i am on meds or had alcohol. One glass of wine does not get your blood alcohol toxicity that high. She could have had drank somewhere else before she had that one glass of wine.
She never received a traffic ticket well the cops too busy stopping black people. That’s why she never got caught

Until I see proof myself, I do not believe the district attorney pretty much every district attorney will amplify or exaggerate the circumstances and if you were in her position, you would want to be treated fairly as well. I think she’s getting railroaded

I’ve seen too much railroading in our justice system, and believe that when used as intended, with the premise that people are innocent until proven guilty, but it would be nice to know what the breathalyzer
And blood tests show.
Regardless, jailing people before due process robs them of their ability to mount an appropriate defense. Any ultra wealthy person can post bail, and they aren’t more deserving of due process than those who can’t afford it.
This is a tragedy, but the justice system needs to work
