How do I keep my long work days entertaining? I love listening to books. Here is the app that I use. amzn.to/3FG78gy
Hey Dauminique. I haven't heard the term 'pup' used for a trailer in a long time! I used to pull doubles in both gravel and grain hauling both west coast and midwest. Been retired now for several years. I just wanted to tell you that I've seen a lot of drivers but based on your videos you're one of the very best. Keep doing what you're doing because you're doing it right! Stay safe and keep it between the ditches. 🤗
Hi James - very interesting how different terms are used in different countries or regions in countries at times. Here in South Africa we mostly refer to the truck as "The Horse". The the trailer direct linked to the horse remains a trailer and right at the back the small trailer is called "The Filly".
I love how the inside of your truck looks brand new. I like my cab the same way. I already don't like driving other drivers' trucks, but can't stand getting into a landfill of discarded cups, fast food bags, and dirty napkins.
You handle that pup like a champ!
Nice job on the edit. I agree with you on sticking to a routine, nothing will get missed.
You have the mannerism to teach/show someone the ropes without FREAKING OUT.
Lol I don’t know about that.
In the middle of getting my class A right now. Mom used to be a dump trucker. Great grand father used to be dump trucker and logger. I wanna go for dump trucking. Your videos are a good insight to this path. I'm super excited to pass and start.
That’s awesome! Good luck!
May the rest of your years not be wasted!
great video Dauminique loved the new camera angles was sweet to see the dirt slide out. hope you have a great week xoxo
You have a great attitude about everything. Be Safe on the road!!!
I’ve always wondered how these dump trailers operated. I’m new to the industry and haul semi bottom dumps which are a little different. Keep up the great work! I admire your dedication.
We call those Belly Dumps, Ive never run one. Only good for pit to pit.
Do you haul grain, gravel, stuff like that?
We had hopper cars like that in trains when I worked for the railroad.
great video,, im in s.e ohio and retired now but we dont have them set ups here and was great to see you show us and also i seen lot drivers over the years come and go and you got it gone on ,, from what i see you as we used to say are top shelf,,.. i would have been happy to have you drive a truck i owned or work with you plus your anti drama,,, thanks
Hey! I'm a rock truck operator, my supervisor is constantly saying that in his opinion, women are better truck drivers because we listen. Awesome video!
Yeah people say that, but an equal number of people say that women are terrible truck drivers. Haha just remember that you and only you are in control of your actions. These skills are not something that you just wake up with, it takes time to learn. Keep up the good work and drive safe.
Hi Niqi. Wow it's such a pleasure to watch how you expertly operate this trailer combination especially showing us how to do the off-loading (dumping) of the load on both the truck and the trailer. Well done. 👏🏽👏🏽
Keep well - stay safe 😷😷
You back that setup up and manuever it around like a pro. Great job.
Well, she is a pro!
Awesome! You are the boss back in that trailer up ! Love your videos and your confidence in operating the equipment. Stay safe out there and enjoy
"I been bangin that box for 3 years" Good one! Hahajahaha, Sorry. Couldn't resist. Great video.
Nicely done and I've been around hydraulic rams and dump trucks my whole life and when one blows out it's generally from a part failure or manufacturing defect. A good ram should be able to handle full hydraulic pressure regardless if it's at the end of the stroke or not. Nice bib overalls! ;-)
Thank you! I’m taking truck driver fashion to a new level. I’ve just had a few comments about not banging my box, which I do, multiple times a day. Haha
We call those bibs shoulder britches here in SC lol.
True that a good ram can take a lot of abuse but really there's no reason to bottom out the ram, just wind the throttle up and pull your stick back n forth real fast and it'll shake the box pretty good. Combined with a few gate bangs and all that's gunna come out will. Of course doing it that way you don't have to pull it outta gear if you have a live PTO.
With this music, I thought someone was going to jump out and get you! Suspense Horror movie! Lol. Great job w the truck and dumping.
This is the cleanest cab I have every seen.🤣
Thank you so much Dominique for showing us that video it was very helpful
I did a lot of dump truck and pup back in the day. I always have thought of those years as my best truck driving experience. Of course most days I was loading myself so I got to run a lot of construction equipment. It's good work and I can still go to my hometown and point out that I had a hand in this project here and that one over there all over the area.
Nice professional job on dumping trailer and truck. I used to have pup trailer here in Ohio and that is exactly how it's done. When Ohio adopted the Federal Bridge Law in the early 90's that was the end of the pup trailers. The setup we used here was a little different but same basic principle. We can haul more payload on multi axle trucks and quicker cycle times.
Yeah we have very few super solos here. People don’t use them because they don’t fit most places you need a solo in Seattle, or Tacoma.
Good job kiddo. You're a safe and capable truck operator. A real pleasure to watch
Good job keeping those piles tight.
Something I like to do when dumping my main is turn my steering wheel in the direction my pup is jackknifed (as I’m raising the bed) as the truck pulls away from the pile it keeps the tongue under the bed and you have so much to brush off. 👍
Hey you need a mic ! Sounds low hard to hear when your driving LOL
I've driven truck years ago never with a trailer system like that you are a great driver I don't know if i could do it great job
I hear that a lot. It was easy to learn though.
Pulling your drops up going off road is a really good habit. I was surprised when you mentioned that. Ive seen it cause several drivers to get put into a ditch. P.s. i wish my tarp motor was as fast as yours.
Thanks. That was cool. I loved the "suspense-spy" music during the actual dumps. Haha!
I have seen those long reach trailers like that once on a visit to Oklahoma but I have not seen them here in Michigan. You are awesome lady. Thank you for sharing. I have driven a 13 speed and a 15 but never an 18. My farm truck has a super 10 which was strange at first but you get used to it. Just found your channel today. Thank you.
Thank you for watching!!!
Awsome driver I sell Waterworks material, pipe hydrants meter boxes water meters locators vaults, bossier pump stations and deliver some of my material especially when it’s busy because the office and regular drivers can’t get it done so I take care of my customers when now means gotta have it now! So I do it all.
That’s a sign of a good worker. Keep it up.
Great Job , I'm glad you have a great and calm personality. That's a heavy and long rig your driving .
Everything always works out, just gotta think things through.
Baum.... you are one smooth operator. Just saw your videos for first time. You make it look easy. Be safe out there. Keep On Trucking!
..
Thanks for clearing that up for me. I’m from Pa and never see them around here. We use tri-axles around here at 73280 gross. It’s different everywhere I guess. Thanks again 👍🏻
Yeah we haul a lot more. Max gross is 105,500
Same here in Massachusetts
Nicely done.coveralls are pretty sweet. 😄😉
Thank you!
U not getting any doc stick to justin
You are always smiling! 😎
I try!
Love the orange phone case I have the same phone and case right down to the color.
New subscriber from Italia here, I love your channel. I do kind of the same work but on the other side of the world!
Your a breath of fresh air on CZcams.
I've been driving dumps for years an never seen them here in md or surrounding states. Ur a pro at it👍🏾👍🏾
I always wondered how a dump truck pulling another dump trailer worked. I always thought driver had to unhook the trailer to unload the dump truck. Great video
Nice job! I’m from the East coast and they don’t use trailer dumps like that.I go out to the west coast every year where I see these rigs and I’ve wondered for years how you dump them. Thank you for the video!
That new camera is a sweet view.
Just found your channel tonight Dauminique, love it, thanks!
Awesome, thank you!
DtDtD I know I have said this in the past the difference between the midwest and the west is so intriguing! Started in 1981 with 32 ft frame style dump semi then came the 40 ft frame less dumps. So keep showing the ways of the west. Also forgot to say Congratulations in the live video.
It is all very different huh? Thank you!
Greatest video Ever I neve knew how they dump like this your videos you do are Very Wonderful Dauminique Stay Safe and have a Great Wonderful day
I went to middle school there at Kellogg. That's too funny that you did this job!!
Nice to see how things are done there. I'm a rookie dump truck driver from Finland, we got very different equipment here.
I'd like to see that!

Nice !! new GoPro trailer tracks nice excellent video . Sweet bibs for sure stay safe !
Haha thanks!
Hello dear lady. I watched your beautiful video. I forgot to say that I'm a dumpertruck driver from a small village of Iran. Your driving was so perfect 🙏💖💝
Wow! Cute and talented!Nice job!
that was an impressive entrance execution!!!!
Thanks!
This was cool, thanks!
A dump truck driver that cleans and checks the truck after dumping. Im impressed. I have 7 chips on my windshield just this year from lazy drivers dumping and never even get out to look.
Its important to check for debris and I make it a priority but rocks on the road are just as likely to come from a landscape truck or the tires of a car from a gravel driveway or a road. I have several rock chips and my dump truck windshield as well. it happens.
U are an amazing driver! 👊👊👊 mad respect!
Thank you!
@@DauminiqueTheDumpTruckDriver thank yourself, im just in awe over here... Your welcome 👍
I’m so impressed how you handle your dump and trailer,
Also I like this music you played was very intense.
Have a beautiful day!
Haha some people didn’t like the music, I thought it was funny. Oh well. 🤷🏻♀️
Dauminique The Dump Truck Driver I say hey you can’t please everyone.
New subscriber here; I enjoy watching your videos. My career is in commercial aviation maintenance. I'm fascinated by women working in industries that are stereotypically dominated by men. I don't believe that there is any career field in which a woman cannot do as well as, or better than a man. Hats off to you for doing what you want to do vs. what others think you should do! 😎
Kis from France thanks for your vidéos 😉
Sounds like Terminator theme while getting loaded lol love it played drums till after high school
like poetry in motion : )
Wow very nice job I load guys that can't even back up a triaxle let alone if they had a trailer on hats off to you keep up the great work
Thank you!
Great job keep it up. Great driver
Happy to see that you're one that tarps your loads I've seen so many here in Whatcom County that Don't tarp as matter of fact I've got sprayer with gravel from a Dump Truck going in the opposite direction 😠
Man this some great driving!!
Thank you
AWESOME presentation
In Michigan our pup tongues aren't long so we have to unhook after dumping the pup. Then you dump your tractor and hook-up and roll. Most of the pup trailers are 5 axle. 3 on the actual trailer and 2 axle dolly. Standard pup for Michigan. As for the tractor it's normally a quad axle tractor with 2 lift axles.
Great clips we use tipping units call bathtubs and dropside tipping units
Well, I’m impressed. You surely know what your doing there driver! Self taught?
Pretty much, my first time dumping truck and trailer my boss instructed me over the phone. Lots of people have taught me things over the years. I’m still learning.
I worked for a while at a "dirt plant" that accepted truck loads of contaminated soil. It was highly EPA regulated. The dump area was paved, and the dirt was stored under a cover until it was decontaminated. My job was to weigh the trucks in and out, keep track of who dumped what and how much. Anyway; The trucks followed a circular route over the incoming scale, around the scale house/office, and found themselves next to the dump point. One left turn put the truck in position to dump with the pup already out of the way. So most drivers would dump the truck first, then pull up an dump the pup. This worked because the area was paved and there was no danger of getting stuck in the mud.
BTW: this was 20 years ago and we had several lady drivers. One in particular had fiery red hair. I always knew when she was about to arrive because of the chatter that stirred up on the radio.
Yeah, I think I mentioned that you can dump the truck first if conditions are right. You just have to know when it’s ok and not ok.
I'm sure there's chatter when Niqui arrives!
I was just skipping thru truck clips. And found you channel. Great input on those kinda of trucks. I need to study more and definitely will be staying in tuned. And I also love the theme music in the background. Some ol 007 ish. Get you pumped up. 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿⬇️🔨💯illion

Great driving! People don't get to see what pulling a pup Is like very often!
Yeah, I’ve figured that out haha. Lots of questions.
I liked to a few pages like yours here on you tube. And it really makes me wish I was still doing OTR. Now I’m just a local yocal.
I’ve been driving local the majority of my career.
Kool stuff keep keeping on living the life
Great video, thanks for showing that.😀
Theys use to have pup dump trailer in south Louisiana. Mostly tri-axle around here. I drive enddump haul pee- gravel for cement plants. Kinda hard hear you while driving. Be safe

Awesome video dauminique. Gripping music 👊🏻
lol I Thought the music was funny. look at the other comments, most people don't like it. 😬😂
@@DauminiqueTheDumpTruckDriver t
The music was like waiting for you or the truck to get sucked into the ground lol you're an awesome trucker 😉 love your videos 🇬🇧
Nice & calm , not in a rush the way things should be ,thank for the nice video
No need to rush, we get paid by the hour.
That was bad ass , you did great!
Pretty cool good job!!!
Thank you
I always wondered how both boxes were unloaded. Thanks for sharing.
Yeah most people don't get it. Once you see it though it all makes sense.
Actually with a dump site situated like that I would always set myself up and dump the truck and pup at the same time, less maneuvering and over the course of a whole day a time saver although not always possible. Same with shortening up, no reason to be pushing that reach back n forth if your route and dump site allow you to stay stretched out. We had guys that would be doing that all day long when they didn't have to, never understood why lol!
@@DauminiqueTheDumpTruckDriver like your T800. That's what I drove, loved it except for the motor, had an acert c-13 cat with not enough power, wished it was a c-15 or better yet a juiced up 3406!
Awesome video! You can make as many videos like that as you wish.
Good job. Stay safe my friend. God bless you. 🙏
Thank you for the video I’m really impressed with your courage 😇
Thank you!
Very cute and great driver!
Great video 👏🏻👏🏻
Great job .... Top self.... keep on truckin...
So that's why the trailer have long towbar! I was wondering why so long towbar and if driver had to unhook the trailer to dump the truck's bed. Thanks for showing how it's done on video.
Its also for bridge weight.
Just found your channel and subbed...good stuff...
Awesome, thank you!
Good driving!!
I feel like a big damn kid watching a beautiful woman drive a dump truck around town...my father was a truck driver for decades. I miss him dearly and miss the days of riding around with him as a kid.
Are you a owner operator I think you are so awesome.
No, I work for a small construction company.
Well done young lady! Drive the same kind of setup up here in Ontario Canada, with my unit I can legally gross 63,300 kg with a tare of 19,460kg (multiply by 2.2 for lbs ie 63,300 = 139,260lbs). As for dumping the lead before the pup, it's terribly hard on the suspension and tires (especially with air suspension on both units) so that procedure is kind of frowned upon around here! Keep on truckin! :P
Our trailers down have air suspension. Sometimes job sites are so tight that you don’t have a choice but to dump the truck first. It’s rare but it can be done. Stay safe out there!
It's interesting to see how this industry is so different depending on where you are; for example to hear you guys talk about having air ride on dumps. In my neck of the woods (WY/eastern MT) that's a big hell no. Chalmers, rubber hendrickson or camels here, air bags simply will not handle the rough roads and off camber in an end dump... too unstable. Once in a while someone will show up with a retired converted road truck with air bags that someone bought cheap and stuck a box on... we usually end up re-righting them with a 300 EX or a crane after they've tipped over with a stuck load. Bellies (trains) are much more common here, both for pit transfer and site delivery, but we don't have the tight quarters and roundabouts ya'all have up there in the PNW. We also use sides quite a bit. Not many unions here either, but our pay and bennies are good anyway, and the cost of living is low. Keep up the good content, you're one hell of an operator, it's a joy to watch someone with your skill.
Dont you just love all of those roundabouts there in Western Washington. Especially while you are stretched out and loaded.
Great job keep up the good work nice camera shots.how long have you been driving?
Since September 2006
What the heck, did they close the gun club? I guess I need to take a drive out to Granite. By the way, I loved the camera placement!!!
No we are helping them build a berm.
Hey awesome job young Lady
Great job..
I'm going to have to have a search on what that "reach" gizmo is used for on the drawbar, looks like it slides? We run dog trailers here in Australia. The one I drive hauls 49.5T all up for a three axle truck and a three axle dog trailer. It's always good to see how things are done in different places.
Yup, the reach slides about 4 feet. It locks/unlocks from the cab and uses a normal brake can/s-cam/slack adjuster to a wedge lock. Good ones use a Maxi can so that low air won't unlock your reach ... which can be unexpected and violent. They can be really fickle to adjust and even more annoying to service. On a good day you stretch once and run long all day until you park. Seattle can get very tight and we won't stretch until the last light before the freeway. The civilians do get alarmed when you shorten up.
This is incredible footage. I enjoy how you go over the order of operations throughout the video. Thank you.
Thank you!
Hello Dauminique,
That’s pretty cool…and all the angles you recorded nice and clear…what cameras did you use?
