Cork is a vibrant city described by Lonely Planet in 2009 as a must see with plenty to see and do such as wander its small streets, shop in Patrick Street or the English market or use it as a base to see the South West of Ireland.
I was born in cork and lived there my entire life its just wonderful the river Lee the English market st Ann's church st finbarrs cathedral it's an amazing city that i am very proud to be from
I've lived in Cork for a couple of months and I loved it. It's my dream to come back again and live there permanently.

hey, thanks. I'm from Liverpool and my name, Hourihan, originates in Cork I believe. This is the most I've ever seen of the city! Looks 'grand' :-)

Always love how foreigners don't know how to use the term "grand". For some reason they seem to think it means really good or really nice or just brilliant. Someone here says in the comments the city looks "grand" lol heads up.... that means it's just kind of alright....grand like :P
