You can spray paint the drywall tape black so it is not so vision

Thank you for helping me with so many rc vids you have made. They have helped me become what you are... an rc expert (IMO) without you I wouldn’t of had such an inspiration to start using rc vehicles.
Hey Kev! Sorry to repost this message, maybe you've seen it or maybe you have not, but, I've got a cool idea you should do: You should build a budget rc car, like less than £70. And make it go as fast as possible, or maybe an rc car from all unused parts in your workshop lol

I used his body trick when I bought my Kraton 8s a month back and I can attest, drywall tape and shoo goo is the first necessary mod on any rc purchase.
I like that idea. I think if I do that, I'll put another coating of paint over the mesh so it isn't as noticeable.

7:25 looks realistic with the back end slightly higher than the front. That's how pickups normally sit so they have clearance when you load it up with stuff.

I'm now converting my BG special (w/o portals) to a speed run crawler with a servo powered suspension drop (40mm drop from the TX) and carbon skid plate. Also building a custom Arrma Senton. Should be something to see. For your rig...add a front axle on the rear and make that thing 4WS. The Bastens Quadsteer is great and works well. Keep them coming!
I agree with you bud it looks a lot cleaner and more to spec when the body is level with the chassis
I love the idea that you put that tape and shoe goo it almost seems like fiberglass supports like fiber support in some plastic and fiberglass cars

The new body and wheel/tire package looks great! Would look even more on point if you painted the inside of the bed flat or semi-gloss black.
That's a pearler of a chassis and I like the body as well. The Whole thing looks really cool and goes well. I reckon it might need weathering and an A-arm setup in the tray, basically it really wnts to be an old tow truck.
That body is awesome, you should make an video about pro’s and con’s for crawlers and a normal RC off-road / on-road

i agree with you having the body low as when it`s fitted high it looks like the body is to small for the frame and it leaves your running gear less protected

I use spray on adhesive before putting on the drywall tape. Let that set up and then I put the Shoe Goo. It looks clean afterwards

Yea same here I thought I would own a rc that did over 60mph and 5 years later being 12 I own a rc that does 100+mph and running 2 huge 6 cell 5000mah batteries in a losi 1/8 scale buggy.on first run a tire exploded.

I just got the TRX 4 sport about two weeks that Chevy C10 body that you put on your trx4 looks super good I was thinking about doing the same 👍👍
Thanks for sharing. I love the chassis kit that this is. I may just have to get one. I like that old Power Wagon body on there, but I think I have the right Chevy body for this.

Good colour choice, many years ago I tried to buy a Power Wagon a half done project the wife was not keen as I spent too much time in the workshop as it was. A pretty capable chassis and the right body choice I wish they did one for 5th scale or the UDR. I have you seen the 1967 FORD F100 body for the UDR I have one in clear they do a black body with the Isenhourer brothers Heatwave livery that looks good going to order one for when I destroy the clear one, still unsure of what colours to paint it. The black one is in Pro-Lines new blck bodies so if you scratch it, it is still black they also do the same body for the Slash and other Short Course truck's.

Hey Kev, that is in fact the front bumper that you put on the front. It is supposed to push object down upon approach or allow the vehicle to slide onto obstacles. As you always say "Whatever puts the biggest smile on your face".
I agree with kev, the trucks do tend to look nicer when the body sits lower
most of the crawler come with modern body shell, and that vintage is really beautiful

On the obstacle that's mainly for portal axles I just had one wheel on the log and another on the rope. You definitely struggled on similar obstacles that's I did with my remo hobby 1093

Awesome video!! I am curious if using a toy windup motor would help remove the jerkiness of the electric motors?! Cold work with rc tractors as well, like giving them a more realistic acceleration

Absolutely love the old Dodge Power Wagon body. That color is a Chevrolet color, though. Looks good on your Chevrolet C-10 but you can do whatever you want!
