    I had a TE-60 on my Buick and it sounded like a Leer jet driving down the road. It was so cool with straight pipes and an .82 housing. I recently replaced with a Precision 6262 but this one is so quiet. Is there a reason for that? Blade design etc.?
    Thanks in advance. great channel

      Most of the time more efficient compressor/turbine wheels will make less noise, the good old 60-1 has great airflow at lower shaft speeds, but it is horribly inefficient...and the T31 hi flow turbine whistles pretty good too...lots of great sounds, just not great efficiency! Reed

    How can I find out if I have a t49 or a 60 mm turbo on my Grand National?

    • @workturbo
      @workturbo  Před rokem +1

      The TA-49 will have a compressor wheel with 6 primary blades. The TA-60 will have 7 primary blades. Primary blades are the main blades of the compressor wheel that will be closest to you when looking through the inlet. That is the easiest way to tell.

    What produces more power and which one is easier to spin a te44 or the ta60?

    • @workturbo
      @workturbo  Před rokem

      The TE-44 will spool a bit faster and the TA-60 will make a bit more power. You could still run the TE-44 with a stock converter...the TA-60 really needs a bit of stall upgrade for most people's liking.

      @@workturbo would you be able to recommend a newer turbo that's pools quicker than Ta-60 and makes more power on a 10inch 2800 stall?

      @@mikejacobsen3853 Super easy...it is our G4S series. We make that turbo in a Stock Appearing and also a 4" inlet version with full ported shroud technology. Our TA-5857 version of this turbo is basically the "modern" TA-49. It will make more power than a TA-60 and spool way faster than a TA-49. I am going to do a video of them next week sometime, but if you watch my Hot Air 5857 video it is basically the same rotor group on the compressor side.
