    I had to show the first part of this video to my wife and laugh!! She was wondering why I was spending so much time doing exactly what you said you went thru, LoL. Great review looking forward to watching an update. especially in the snow. Living in northern Michigan, we do a lot of ice fishing. Finding a tire for both snow and trail is tough. Thanks

      I have over 2000 miles on them now. Still a ton a tread, and I feel they may be my favorite tire choice yet.
      I want to try the big horn design and see how they compare

    Persian opinion for adventure or trail riding these are the tires to get. If you see deep mud and have to go through just activate 4 wheel drive. These tires perform really good at just about everything the only fair rating I give is mud

    I just went through the same rabbit hole as you when it comes to choosing tires! I did so much research and finally settled on the Itp blackwater evolutions! 8 ply radial great tread pattern and I really like them great all around tire! I bought the Itp hurricane wheels as well

    You got that right buddy that’s one of the most difficult decisions is what tire to put on your wheeler..
    I went with the Maxis Big Horn 2.0’s simply because they are lighter. I’m a freak when it comes to adding weight to a machine. Those Kendas will be much more durable than the Maxis. Herm had a set on his Polaris for a few years and really liked them.
    I think you’ll be happy, Nice job with the video!

    Lucky for living in continental 48 states…I’m in HI and if you can find tires that will ship here it’ll cost a lot of times a little more than the tire cost itself i.e. 500.00 in tires 400.00 up to 500.00 in shipping and your choice in brands is severely limited eBay usually will not even consider shipping at all..buying a replacement atv tire here from dealer can cost up to ( and more ) 300.00 each…and that’s stock replacement..😳

    I still can’t decide. But weight is a big deal for me.. some tires don’t even list the weight .. bear claws are definitely still on the list..

      Almost 3000 miles and other than a little push in the corners they are probably the most happy I've ever been with atv tires. 8/10 would definitely recommend

    I put HTRs on my Kodiak 700 last year. SO much tougher than the stickers that it came with! Haven't had a flat yet with them, fingers crossed that I don't.

    Love my HTR's! Did you but them a bigger size or they wider than the stock ones?

    • @quadbilly2106
      @quadbilly2106  Před 3 lety

      I went with 26 which is the size on factory tires, but the HTR are bigger because they are true to size

    Been looking to upgrade the stock tires on my 2022 rubicon deluxe. I had 6 ply kimpex trail troopers on my '21 420 rancher and found them rough and stiff. But they were bias ply tires. Now that I have independent suspension, I'm hoping the ruby can handle the stiffer ply rating. How do you find the ride with these tires? I ride mostly fire roads and abandoned rail beds.

    • @quadbilly2106
      @quadbilly2106  Před 2 lety +1

      Ride is smooth not clunky like a mud tire. I do recommend putting balancing powder in when you mount them it helps keep bigger tires running true at speed.
      It will push in the front more compared to stock because the kendas are wider. Overall I recommend them

    Nice tires look forward to see how they do for you . I been using the max zillas come with my bike ride lil rough on trails but mud & snow crawling in bush have done me well .
    Def when i change be tough might change to bit smoother riding one . So used to a mud tire dont know what would do with ones ride smoother lol .

    I just stumbled across your video and it was unbelievable how much your story about looking for tires matches my story that I'm putting myself through right now. I finally narrowed it down to 3 choices myself earlier today. The bear claw htr's the big horn 2.0 and the itp terracross. I have a 2021 yamaha grizzly and would love some insight from anyone out there to help me choose 1. I also don't want to get into clutch mods or anything else. I want durable fairly lightweight all terrain tires. Thanks and bring on the suggestions.

      I just went through the same thing and was looking at the same tires. Ultimately I went with the Itp blackwater evolution tires and Itp hurricane wheels! Tires are fantastic for all around use I highly recommend looking into them!

    I have bighorn 2.0's that came on my quad and they do really well in the PNW, a mix of everything. I am curious how these would do. I have a friend who has the bear claws on a big bear 400 but he has 8 ply and they are really stiff for a smaller lighter machine, so I feel like it is an unfair comparison to my 6 play bighorns.

    • @nicholasmapes
      @nicholasmapes Před 2 lety

      I think they are the upgraded version, I know the HTR version is much beefier than the original bearclaw.
      My dad has HTRs on his grizzly and they really are a good tire.
      I'm getting a set on my machine when my 489s wear out.
