You keep saying in your videos that you're not a mechanic. I beg to differ, you're a very GOOD mechanic. This swap and the results are proof.
Thank you for your kind words! I just follow the book!
Thank for all the great content. You should have done a before and after Chassis Dyno and before, and after 0 to 60. Do a Chassis Dyno now it wold make a great video.
yesssssssss been waiting for this one
Good video. Having a separate cam box makes the cam swap process a bit easier in a traverse engine. Or that's the way it looked to me. It is also not too surprising that the cam swap helped since this had a cam that was for emission's. The $200 well spent. I'm loving the X1/9 content.
Thank you so much! The value can’t be beat!
Imagine how well that cam would work in conjunction with the extractors you had to remove.
Just found this series and im very excieted to learn ways to improve my X-1/9's performance!!
Hope you can find some useful things!!
Some sweet benefits from a pretty simple and quick changes!
Super affordable too! Definitely a weekend job
A before and after dyno pull is the best way to compare. Then you what you got.
Thanks for putting this video together!
Of course! It was fun to do a before and after
Great video, I wanna see some red line runs.
Thanks! It’ll get there but I didn’t have enough safe straight space.
typically, upgrading the cam requires intake and exhaust modifications to take advantage of the greater lift and duration of the cam
Yes. That’s true, but this is a test for just a cam. More could be achieved, but for a weekend car guy this could be enough to wake up a car without deep modifications
@@GarageTimeTV i agree...however, once you go the trouble of changing the cam, an intake upgrade would be little additional cost and effort.
What mpg do you get
So I’m averaging about 23mpg between city and highway
Pushing 60 and cars are passing you. lol
That’s the local drivers around here! You know that as well as I do!
