Brake pad , slide pins are cheep, well worth replacing them, as corroded pins can make the pads stick

BigBadLoneWolf. I’ve been lucky in the past doing this job, but after this experience I totally agree with you.

Just had to replace one of the front brake hose's as it was cut and haven't used the bike in years. Put brake fluid in but I've noticed the wheels seem seized. Took off one off the front calipers, and noticed the only one of the pistons pushing out. How can I free up the other piston so it moves ?

The piston seals can corrode over time too, it might be worth your while replacing them too.

Did you retrieve and replace the washer that fell on to and thru the rear wheel when you were removing the nut and bolt when you refitted the brace bar?

      Yes. Butter fingers 😂

Did you spot it in your video later because I watched to see if you replaced it at the time and you only appeared to put the nut on ... if so, sometimes it may pay to video our work as we go, oh, and greetings from New Zealand from someone that is about to replace the rear pads on his 1998 1200 Bandit.

I’m sure I did. This video was shot a long time ago now.
Good luck with your pads mate. They can be a challenge.

@@ABLReselling I bought mine new in 1998 and it has been babied and kept in a garage ever since, we don't have salt on our roads and it only has 44,000km's (just over 27,000 miles to you) on the odometer.
