How I would hit 150g of protein

  • How I would hit 150g of protein 🥩
I'm using 150g of protein is a rough average for most people, but if you don't know how much protein to have, then I would start with around 0.7-1g of protein per lb of body weight.
This isn't a strict rule you have to stick as everyone is different, for example mine is a lot higher as it's just something I've built up to over years of tracking, but this is a great start and is what majority of people will only need.
When it comes to hitting your protein, it's just a matter of prioritising your protein intake, and building the habit of including more protein sources for each meal.
Keep in mind though that other food items do have protein which I would still include in your daily protein intake as it just makes tracking easier, which then could also make hitting your protein that little bit easier too 🙂

Kg, I exercise and I need around 50 g of protein. I know it sounds low, I’m a nutrition-dietetics students and it’s a pain in the * to design appropriate diets. You should only do 1.4 g per kg if you’re like an elite athlete. In my case that would be 70 g. We eat way to much protein. The body suffers in the long run.

I just pulled 150g as a very rough average if the minimum intake of a female was 100g and the maximum intake of a male was 200g
But everyone is different and I'd find one that works best for you
Usually to optimally build muscle for kilograms, it was be 1.2-1.8g of protein per kg and even up to 3.3g if you sedentary. I'm usually familiar with the 0.8-1g range mainly being for pounds
But again, these are just guides and not a rule!

After doing this for the last 2 months, I ate a LOT more than usual a few days ago, over the last like 3 days I’ve been hungry but haven’t wanted to eat anything (still keeping around 2kcal and 150g protein) I’m considering going on a full day fast. My main issue is I get tired of foods quickly, like having eggs just for breakfast 3 days in a row will make me hate eggs for 2 weeks, anyone else have this second issue? I’m just not really hungry or don’t have an appetite for anything at all😪😅

As long as you’re getting in your nutritional targets, get creative! I eat different food every single day, otherwise there’s no way i could have done this for this long eating the same thing day in and day out

I was essentially starving myself. I didn't want to and I didn't mean to, but I was. So before I was supposed to be eating 135g of protein and I barely made it. I FEEL like I eat a lot of protein but I guess Im not dude lmao.
