That was a life traveling out west for a home stead. Most of the deaths were young children I learned from 600 home stead’s in New Mexico. Out back from the ranches and homes were the graves. Most graves were young children because it was many miles to a Doctor to treat the children. Sad isn’t it that mom and dad had their hearts ripped out when the children died. It was a hard journey to get were they were going. Indians, out laws, rustlers, bush whackers and more were all against the settlers. The moves tried to show us how it was. Not like today movies. Today it’s all about making a dollar.
