  • May 24, 1987 - Detroit Pistons rookie Dennis Rodman played just 15 minutes but still found ways to make his presence felt, punctuating a 42-point third quarter for the Pistons with a chasedown block on Danny Ainge, leading to a Rick Mahorn shoving match with Darren Daye.
    Rodman finished with six rebounds and one block in the Pistons' 145-119 Game 4 win over the Celtics, leveling their Eastern Conference Finals series at two games a piece.

    In this game, Isiah Thomas with 22 points, 8 assists and zero turnovers as Detroit set a franchise record with 145 points.

    I will say it AGAIN, the best athlete in NBA history was the DETROIT version of Dennis Rodman.
    No tats, no dyed hair, no body piercings, no dress or gay talk, just the skinny version from South Oak Cliff.

    Mahorn elbowed Daye in the chest, but apparently the announcers missed it. Easy to see on replay.
