    CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Ichi (Takeshi Kitano) aka Zatoichi, slices up a couple of roving bandits when they try to intimidate him.
    FILM DESCRIPTION:

In Kitano's version, Zatôichi wanders into a town harassed by criminal gangs, and helps two geishas take revenge on the men who murdered their parents. His mission leads him to a final, bloody confrontation with the gang's mastermind and his hired assassin (Tadanobu Asano), a swordsman with a reputation as lethal as Zatôichi.

There are several moves like that in Japanese martial arts. The only thing that you can do to replicate is put water on the blade. It will remove some of the water, but not all of it but it’s still pretty cool though. The reason why that they would try to remove as much blood from the blade as possible is because blood will make your blade rust. I would imagine that samurai and other swordsman as soon as they got to a place they could clean their blade with probably clean it and dry it thoroughly.

He chose to make 3 Outrage movies instead. Two of them were fantastic but still feel he really brought out this Zatoichi character, the blind swordsman. He could have done like Tom Cruise, improving on his Mission Impossible series, everyone better than the next. No, he just put a full stop there.
