- Have you ever tried to shoot your videos from a head mounted or hat/helmet mounted camera and later found out that you missed a couple of critical shots??? Perhaps the audio wasn't quite up to par? OR both??? Here's the method of shooting that I've used for almost 5 years, but NOW, it's time for me to update my camera! In this video, I'll be testing the Mobius Maxi to see if it can replace my current RunCam HD, which I've used on EVERY ONE of my CZcams videos since my channel started. Well, the Maxi-Pad had much better audio than the upgraded Runcam, so I think you have a good match. Having the ability to do some 1/2 speed slo-mo will be an added plus. The audio does have a different tone to it than the Runcam .. not bad .. just different. I'd have to say it has a bit more treble than the Runcam, going by my many years as a musician . Glad you found this ... if I ever need to replace my own Runcam, I'll know what to get in that size form factor. I'll have to see if they offer different lens options, as they do with the Mobius Mini. BTW, I found my Runcam setup program, to do the setups on the computer, rather than online. Forgot I had that. I also think it has a bit more treble (or less bass) than the RunCam, going by my many years as a DJ!!! Of course, the slow motion segments were done in post-production, but now slow motion looks a lot better with 60fps. So far I like it, still have to test it in the bright sunlight for dynamic range AND get used to that 'different sound' coming from my voice, lol!!! Glad you found your desktop version of the RunCam configurator, but don't forget to occasionally connect it to the Online setup to check for firmware updates... POW!!! Thanks for stopping by bro!!!
P.S. do you prefer the new camera over the RunCam? (sound over picture quality is a tough decision for me - why can't I get both? 😲!!!
Oh yeah, they do offer two different lens options. I have the 130 degree (or the most narrow) FOV version, set on narrow in the settings to minimize the fisheye effect.

@@DJSOULFORCE I think I like the Mobius better ... will be better able to tell after you do some daytime shooting with it. Perhaps you can stick it on your old Syma X8 (or something similar) and get some aerial footage with it to see how it handles dynamic range. I did have my Runcam connected online the other day, but no FW updates. I doubt there will be any now for such an old cam. It's 14 deg. F outside as I type this ... not good weather for anything outdoors. Cheers Broheem ...

I'm not sure I like the hollow sound of the Maxi's audio but the video looks good. I use a action can head strap for my 8S and run the Mic behind my ear. Loving those trucks!!

The video look great, the option of slow motion is a plus. The sound lack the lower tone in your voice. Over all, it’s still a good improvement. For some reason these cameras manufacture don’t give great AV in one package like GoPro did with the Hero 4 a few years back. Even today GoPro give you good video but the audio sound like a tin can. Enjoyed the truck run. Awesome spin out and speed. Thanks for sharing Bro.

The original Mobius was released in 2013 and is still being sold in 2021... It's still good for what it is.

I had the Runcam original but it died on me and yes a great camera. I now use the Ekin 4k sports camera. I like the idea of getting the camera between the eyes.

never had a crawler before...so i grabbed one...got the older 2wd arrma granite...and a drift car...all 10th scale...
been testing a bit on each....a deans mod needs to be done on the crawler and drifter...the granite has deans so its golden haha!!

I will try local shops that sell used head cams rather than ebay... That way can take them back if not working buddy ;o)))) Saw a great one, very cheap before Christmas. Did not buy it as was spending on gifts for my Son. The camera was a go-pro with hand held mini remote control for stopping and starting recording. Looked great.

The camera image can be inverted in the settings, so it doesn't matter which way it's mounted. It even has an 'automatic flip' feature. Sorry, I'm not sure where I got that belt clip from, I think it came in another camera's kit. Some guys use money clips! Thanks for watching buddy!!!

DJ, the Keychain 808#16 V3 lense is really a mobius. This cam auto adjust sound and low light to high light self adjust. Small battery though. Can be replaced or upgraded. I'm liking the mobius min as well Ttys God bless
Yeah, I had a couple of Keychain Cameras. One bit the dust and just stop working (after 3 years) and I lost one on a drone that flew away!!! That's when I bought the Mobius Mini, but I do miss having a Keychain camera. They're getting hard to find with the V3 lens, lots of knock offs out there though!!!
