- This is a quick update on my VRX Racing Cobra 'brushed-to-brushless' conversion. After upgrading the motor & ESC, you can usually look forward to doing other upgrades or repairs because of the extra speed and the added stress to the frame, drive train and suspension components. So far, so good and she's running fine!!!

Good job DJ, that thing is really fast.Just about every time that I upgrade to brushless, I usually put metal geared servos on because of the extra power you get. BTW, I don't know if I told you but I have been waiting on the Fimi X8 SE to come and it finally showed up today but because of the snow we got, I will have to wait a few days to fly it. POW!!!
I hope you have good luck with your Fimi X8. I've seen some mixed reviews about the camera firmware, etc. I think it's a nice bird... may have to get one myself, lol.

Mine was originally a brushed motor toy that I upgraded to brushless, but it also comes in a RTR brushless version. I haven't reviewed the stock brushless version, so I can't vouch for it's speed!!! Thanks for watching and your feedback bro!!!

That thing rips. Looks like tons of fun. Take a look at the Flysky FSGT-3B,. 10 model memory and receivers are dirt cheap. Excellent range.

Theres a fr sky gt3 transmitter and its about $30 and its got 10 model memory but it means changing yr receivers again or just do the rest of yr trucks with the gt3 that aint combined esc n receiver may help u out and they are an ace transmitter for the money i bought 2 of them
Thanks for the feedback bro. I went with the DumboRC transmitter/receiver combo, which BTW is also around $30 bucks, because it's claiming the best range of them all (over 500 meters). It's a bit of an inconvenience not having the model memory, but I can get over it, lol!!! I do have my eyes on that Hobby Porter TX/RX combo but I'm not sure how much the extra receivers cost... still researching!!!
It looks like you have some nice mods to the Cobra, that thing really runs now. Who do you like in the Super Bowl this year? Those Niners look pretty tough to me.

On a different subject any plans on updating your drone fleet to any of the new "super drones" Autel Evo 2 which looks pretty awesome or any of the supposedly to be released DJI products?
No immediate plans for a super drone, but I do have my eyes on that Skydio 2!!!

Thanks for watching and your question. Sorry, I did not do an official speed run, but I estimated it's speed at around 38 - 40mph. I only put a 100A ESC in it, so I'm a little worried about running it on 4S!!! As of today, I think I'm going to decommission this car... parts are very hard to find and it keeps breaking down!!!

I own the cobra brushless what electronics have you got yours looks so much faster
I bought the brushed version so I could upgrade it myself. I put in the motor from a ZD Racing ZMT10 Monster truck, a 100A ESC and the DumboRC receiver. I'm still running the stock gearing and using a 3S LiPo. I love this truggy but it's hard to find parts for it! Thanks for watching and your question.

I see one of these on Aliexpress for $69 and $55 shipping, without the electronics. I wouldn't bash it or do jumps because I know it would be a $100 truck. Would you say I should pull the trigger?
Just based upon my experience so far with this car, I won't recommend buying it. It's a nice vehicle, however, you're going to find that the VRX Racing parts are extremely hard to find in the U.S. and AliExpress is the only place to find them. Good luck bro, thanks for watching!!!

Where the hell are you getting your parts?🤔 I can't find them anywhere except a few on Banggood, not the parts that I need though.

Man I went to the hobby store and saw cars in there going for 900.......oh hell no 😆. They were big and going 70mph and up but sheesh
My dream truck is the Traxxas Xmaxx, starts at $899 (plus tax) with no batteries and no charger. I call it my dream car because I'm dreaming of somebody sending me one for review, lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not sure. I haven't been inside of it yet. The spur gear is covered with a case!!!
