I’m so sick of English media painting every English player ever as world class. You have a couple of them, not 50 of them. You can be okay, good, or even great, and still not be world class.

Grealish at Villa was world class, he can't do what he did there for City it's a completely different style of play. His best attributes are running with the ball, taking people on and he was allowed to drift before and take risks, now he can't. City don't take risks with possession.
This in a nutshell! Scared to shoot, dribble and take the game by the scruff. Literally went to City and had his nuts clipped.
Villa fan - tell me a player who could have carried a relegation threatened team like Jack did, and also entertain doing ridiculous things, make great stats, and have opposition fans crying for him to play for England.
He also excelled as a system player in one of the best teams ever. Pep identified that with Jack in the team, the game stays in opposition half as he is a possession monster who calms things down. Hands down world class. No debate. Sleepwalks into other teams.
A lot of wingers a similar level to him and better could do what you said.
I love Grealish. He’s great but no he’s definitely not world class. I think I might think of world class as a higher standard because I grew up watching football in the 90s and 00s when we were blessed with soooo many more ballers than these days
I think there's maybe 50 world class players in the world in any given time

You need to be top 5-6 in your position to be considered world class. Max of 66 players can be world class. He's not in that group. Plays for City only cuz he's English

I'd take him at United. Hes the kind of winger someone like Hoijlund would absolutely thrive off of. A winger who can assist, score and be given a license to roam. They dont have that in Garnacho and Rashford; and Fernandes doesn't fit that bill either no matter how much they try

It's a pretty decent team , I'd just make one change, Rashford out and Ward-Prowse in because he's really great at set pieces , especially corners and free kicks but is also a good penalty taker just incase Kane or Saka aren't on the field and Rashford hasn't done enough to deserve a call up but yes he had a screamer of a goal vs City but that's about it.

He was last season and been injured this season, suppose it’s what defines world class, but being a regular attacking player in treble season, you must be good.
He's never been world class, but he's also not rubbish like some make out. If he cut out the booze he would have done better at Man City (in terms of his individual performance levels)
Liverpool have Gakpo, Luis Diaz and Jota who can all play on the left. Arsenal have Martinelli and Trossard (who are both better). The lack of knowledge from these three is a bit embarrassing tbh.
Reckon the nangs & zopps are more his problem than the alcohol. It's wrecked his lung capacity and likely incurred nerve damage as well, makes him dizzy and sick and unsteady on his feet, and seems to have damaged his already-limited IQ even more. It's a pity no-one's managed to get him some help, I genuinely feel sorry for the lad if he can't kick the addiction.

No he’s not world class. You guys are far to nice when talking about players, Barkley should be nowhere near that England Squad, you spoke about how Barkley likes to be the big fish in a small pond but fail to realise that’s his level, he was never going to make it. Genuinely like listening to the podcast but sometimes you talk absolute nonsense, when you did that top 10 prem defenders of all time you called Craig Dawson world class, when he’s barely average at best. You can be objective and impartial but still be fair, it makes for better listening, otherwise your opinions mean nothing
