Ben Foster is the perfect guy to have interviewing the players. You can tell how comfortable they are around him and it really helps that he can relate to them and share his own stories too instead of asking the same old recycled questions! Awesome interview, keep them coming :)

Always liked jack as a Villa fan, He absolutely earned his move to City. He got us promoted, played a huge part in keeping us up and establishing ourselves back in the PL and for this a lot of us Villa fans will be thankful. Not to mention he seems to be such a down to earth guy which makes him very likable. In the end the move worked out well for both sides. Jack went on to win trophies(Treble included) and Villa have now started to push on fighting for top 4, having got back into European Football. A win-win overall.
I think West Ham fans feel the same about Rice like they both helped their clubs massively and then got their clubs 100mil and up
Not to mention he secured 100M for you lot, a sum I think everyone can agree is probably more than he's actually worth. The reaction from Villa fans when he moved was a bit over the top.

@@josemenendez2775 He was valued at 100m because thats how much he meant to us. Our captain at the time and first name on the team sheet. Most of our play at the time came through JG. I think villa fans reacted the way they did because how much it hurt when he left. Especially when we announced the kit before the season started and his quote was "I love playing for this club" just to transfer to City a week later.

Grealish is an absolute top man. It’s so hard not to like the guy with his contagious charisma off the pitch and the way he plays. Also such a role model off the pitch, always finding a way to make sure he is so kind and welcoming to anyone. Top lad.
People hate him because of his price tag and that he joined us to win stuff. He’s the nicest and realest bloke in the game and us as fans love him. No regrets jacky fourpeat it for us
As a Villa fan I still love him. Got us back up, kept us up, and provided a transfer fee that let us kick on.

Like you say he got you 100 million which helped buy players and keep you up again and now look where use are. He could’ve gone to united and failed and maybe then the hate would be justified but he left to win things and 2 years in I’m sure he has no regrets. Plus look how good villa are now, it benefitted both parties in the end
@@n4ht4n80 For sure, I miss him playing for us but I only want him to succeed ad City. That 100m literally set us up to get to where we are right now. Getting 100m of a transfer fee for an academy player, pure profit on FFP... thats let us bring in so many top players with amortized fees.
That transfer alone was probably enough for us to bring in Bailey, Ings, Buendia that first season, then Moreno and Duran last Jan, and Pau and Diaby this year. It's probably all used up on FFP now but it let us set such a strong foundation. Sure Ings was always gonna be a bust but the rest have been really strong.

One genuine honest top lad, so,glad he’s getting more game time and more consistent now.. lots of players who came to city struggled in the first season so great to see him so much better last season and now scoring more for City..
You can’t seriously be pleased with his performances this season? He’s scored a couple of easy tap ins and has one assist. He literally never attacks his fullback on the outside and never gets crosses into the box. He’s average at best. You’re letting the fact that you like him as a person cloud your judgement.

He was poor in his first season, slightly better last season, and has been awful this season. He has scored a couple of tap ins and made just one assist all season! You don’t get bought for 100 mil by Man City who are notorious for buying players cheap by being a ‘very average player’.
He’s pretty much the perfect winger for Man City and under pep who plays possession based football and Grealish is perfect for a possession based style as he keeps the ball and when he loses the ball 9/10 times he wins a foul.
You don’t get 35 chances in the champions league (the most since 2017/17) by being a ‘very average player’.
He’s one of the best players to ever live in terms of what he’s good at. It’s like how Ozil was one of the best players to ever live in terms of what he was good at which was getting assists. Grealish may not have the best stats in terms of assists or goals but he wasn’t bought by Man City for goals or assists and if you think football is as simple as wingers should get goals and assists all the time then you’re just foolish.
