  • Max Verstappen reveals Red Bull's problems ahead of Canadian GP
    ---------------------
Three-time world champion Max Verstappen has expressed his concerns ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix, anticipating that Red Bull could face similar difficulties to those experienced in Monaco. After failing to finish on the podium for the second time this season during the Monaco GP, the Dutch driver is not expecting an easy race in Montreal.
Verstappen explained that the team struggled with the bumps on the Monte Carlo circuit and fears that these problems will be repeated in Canada. Any imperfections in the track surface could significantly affect the RB20's performance.
“We have to wait and see [how we will perform in Canada], I think there is also new surface and it could also give us some surprises. But it won't be our strongest weekend because of that. But probably a bit better than [Monaco],” Max Verstappen was quoted as saying by Motorsport.
In addition, Verstappen stressed that street circuits, in particular, represent a bigger challenge for Red Bull due to bumps and curbs. The recently resurfaced Circuit Gilles Villeneuve will be a significant test for the Austrian team.
“We will be weaker on any track that is bumpy or has curbs, or you have to go over a lot of curbs, so the street circuits will probably be a bit tricky. But hopefully by then we'll understand a little bit better what's going on,” the driver concluded.
