Omg I can’t believe I found this again! We didn’t grow up very rich or poor but having Disney items back then was a luxury back then so when my Dad somehow came across this for me, I was so in awe of it! I had no idea this was a Polly Pocket toy but I’m still so in love with all the details ❤

The nostalgia this hit me with was so strong that I just bought one! All of the details had memories just flooding back. 😊
About the chime; I had the trendmaster cinderella castle when i was a kid and it also had a moving clock. Im am like 90% sure chimes would sound at 12 o clock with that castle :)

The clock sound might be for an even larger polly pocket castle set, similar to this one but much more suprises. It has a mini cinderella cottage built on one of the sides, lights up and just under the large dance floor is a droor for the pieces. It also has a doll house vibe it has two or three floors each is a special room. One I can remember looks like a little tea room.

@@Kerchie yes, that was the one I forgot the name until now. To me that was the second ultimate polly pocket castle. The 1st was that one where if you purchased I think 6 polly pocket theme castle it becomes one giant one when put together. I Never ever completed that childhood mission unfortunately.
I used to have this castle and I absolutely loved it! It is perfect! ❤️🏰 I also had the Cinderella house and therefore it kinda bothered me (just a little) that in the castle there are the scenes with the kitchen, where she makes breakfast for the stepmother and sisters and the shoe fitting scene is also not in the castle. But they somehow managed to fit everything in this castle, that is important. It is absolutely amazing and it always was my favorite Polly Pocket! Somewhere I must have it.. 😅

My sister had a Cinderella castle, I had a beauty and the beast one. Similar to this but they had keys to unlock them hidden in the turrets. They definitely chimed and lit up.

I lucked out for sure! I had to do slight restoration work and it was suuuper dusty but otherwise it was great.

I owned this as a kid and had no idea there was a hidden glass slipper in the stairs lol. My mind is blown.
I was also expecting a chime when you turned the clock to 12. I'm pretty sure it did.

This brought back so many memories 🥰🥰 convinced I had it second hand as I only ever had the carriage, cinderella in the wedding dress and the step mother figurines. Pretty sure my mum threw the set away in the bin 😪
I've seen other variations of this too, like a peachy colored one.
There's a blue version, but any "peach" you see is just the discolored pink set you own here. Plastic yellows over time and with sun damage, sometimes people lighten it again with retrobrighting.

I used to own the Snow White cottage as a kid, and the aladdin set. both beautiful sets! I have none now but planning to buy the little mermaid set and probably Aladdin again. although all the listings on eBay have no figures 😭😭😭 they get lost so easily.

I had this as a child as well as the pink translucent and glitter version of it which I still have and used as part of the Decor for this years Chrismas Tree LoL XD If you look at the architecture of this castle youll see that even though its Cinderella Themed its been taking directly from the shape of Disneyland Resort Paris La Belle au Boix Dormant Castle at the time Eurodisneyland which opened in the 12th of April 1992 but imagineered way before since the end of the 80s. Just a fun fact! hehe Anyway keep on the good work! I love the things you create too and part of me feels so in tuned with your style so Im seriously thinking of contacting you in the near future to get a personalized pet ID tag for my Chihuahua Benji because I appreciate your work, your talent and all the passion you put into it! Im now based in Europe but I travel a lot to the US as im finishing my PhD in between Boston, MA and SF, CA. Ill contact you for sure when im closer and we will find the perfect tag for Mr Benji hehe. I uploaded my first ever PP related video a lil while ago comparing Polly's world fun fair from 1989 to the new theme park backpack I made it bilingual but you can enjoy it in English although my editing is beyond basic haha im a physician but I so much enjoy many forms of art too. Hi Kerchie, I've just come across your channel today and I love it! I was a big polly pocket fan when I was a kid and since about a month it's been creeping back into my life. I wondered if you have ever heard of the pet shop pockets? I have one which I hold very dear. I don't hear many things about it though. It's way bulkier than a polly pocket and once it's open, it folds out. There were 3 tiny pets you got with it and you got a few tiny things with it as well. It's not Polly pocket of course, but it might be fun to look at how other toy series tried to go that route. The one I have is a swamp theme

thank you for this video. very nice set and perfectly explained. I'm curious of 2 things though : 1) is there a place where you can store the carriage and horses just like the drawer for the characters? and 2) do all 8 figured fit well in the back drawer? thank you.
There's a drawer in the back and only the characters fit. The horse and carriage I put in a little baggy.
So lucky you got it in good conditions. I'm guessing it had sound, the holes in the clock are my clue, but looks empty, so prob not. Cinderella's castle from Trademasters, does has sound
The holes in the clock are what threw me off so I really thought it had a sound but I think you're right, I might be thinking of Trendmasters.
I picked up the castle today at an antique store for $7; it's very good condition, no figures :(

I still have this.... but its really discoloured and i dont know if it can be restored..... This one is in really good condition though.

I started collecting pollies. I have now 5 sets... but it's so expensive. For a tiny set 30 euros at least and some ask more. I don't wanna know what this big castle costs🙈🙈🙈 but it's magical gorgeous
You can collect them little by little. Don't be pressured to get a lot all at once. Five is great, and each one is special. 😊
