In this Tutorial I show you how to model a parametric curtain panel pattern based family that is used on the Al Bahar Towers. I go over setting reference lines, points and all the math and parameters that go with a complex parametric family like this.

Thanks for the your useful channel, I personally learned lots of things; but the question is(about the two parts videos) „How can we reach to these mathematical formula?“ and it‘s better to say „ Finding an exacted way to reach the formulas is really really difficult“ and what‘s the way. Thanks again ❤

Hi Amazing tutorial, very helpful although I am stuck in a pickle when placing the reference point to where we located the intersecting reference point. My reference point seems to be given a negative/inverted toggle position rather than the standard RGB gumball toggle. I am presented with a blue/orange with the vertical toggle facing down. Can you please help? :)

Sir, this video is amazing, thank you. However i got stuck in between, its probably a very petty issue, but being a beginner, a little heads up will be very helpful
When you've joined the medians with a spline and made them references, and then placing a point near the intersection of the medians, to which you're applying some parametric constraints so that for a bent surface, the family works. But after placing the point as shown, in the properties palette, there was no Measurement Type option under Dimensions tab, as in your project. I am only getting 'offset' under dimensions. And that's where I'm stuck. Can you please suggest me what to do?
Any help would be appreciated. I'm a student of architecture and i want to use such a family in my project

Hello, I'm trying to model up this facade.
I'm having a bit of trouble when I get to the 13 minute mark on the video. The part where you add the parameter value for dimension a. I see yours goes grey and you can't edit it after you enter the formula whereas with mine I can still edit it and it's giving me an error, do you know what might be the problem?

Worth watching the original since the author actually understands the maths behind the family.
Copy/pasting material from other people and not giving them credit is not very ethical.
