I wish they'd talked about the interrogation scene between Loki and Black Widow. To me, that was one of the best scenes in the entire movie
+Linnea Avtjern I completely agree. She was the only one of them all who was able to use Loki to her advantage. For me she's the one character who has most control of the situations surrounding her and if she's about to lose control she knows how to address it.
shirophoenix01 I know right? I found her to be one of the most enjoyable and interesting characters in the movie because of that. (along with Loki, ofc) I just found it really refreshing that even though she's human and has no powers, she's still the one who seems to be the most on top of the situation. Along with her being the only one who was able to figure Loki out. It shows that despite the fact that she doesn't have any powers, she can still hold her own to all these powered up super humans (and demigods/aliens), and I think that's really respectable and cool to watch. (I'm also just really pleased that they didn't end up turning her into some damsel in distress or something, cause that would have honestly ruined the entire movie.)
and ass
Yeah, turning her into a damsel-in-distress would have been so easy for them to do, especially since she has no powers. I knew from the moment I saw her kickass solo scene in Iron Man 2 that Black Widow was going to be my favorite character.
*SHE PLAYED HIM LIKE A DAMN FIDDLE.*
I have no hate for Hawkeye, don't think I say a single bad thing about him in this vid. I love him.

So funny having you guys confused on who Thanos is and what the Infinity Gauntlet does. Now look where we are.
And then imagine what we will be like after infinity war part 2 comes out
Tom Hanks now look where we are.
Look at where I'm at now, get on my level you 2016 dorks😂
This comment aged so fucking well
We’re in the Endgame now..
Hearing Chris saying "the big purple guy thAnos?" I can't even remember not knowing who thanos is. "some thing called the infinity gauntlet"😂😂😂
now look at it lol
Thanks man, glad ya found me.

I love watching these two talk about movies.
Stark we need a plan of attack
..I have a plan, attack.
My favorite iron man line in avengers.
I like how there are 18 minutes of positives and 3 seconds of negatives. They will literally like "did you have any dislikes about the movie...""I honesty don't."And then they move on to the final words to finish the video. That's how good the movie is.
Ive been watching this dude for a while now and i like his videos, but he really is biased when it comes to these marvel films. For example when flickinger points out some of the flaws of the film, chris just dismisses it. Like when he talk about The Big Red Switch that cpt america has to pull, chris is like yeah whatever. Those of you who have been watching him long enough know that had it been a different movie, he wouldve made a much bigger deal about it, and would have blah blah blah'd about it way more.
Death is an actual person that Thanos is in love with. It's not that he is aroused by death as we think of it. It's that Death is the name of his love interest.
+Jonno Schrödinger You're right. Deadpool also loved Death
Well Thanos is literally trying to court the entity Death.
Too bad for him she's already dating Deadpool.
I don't think they're gonna go for the same character motivation for the rest of the avengers movie.
Rithvick Rao 1 Week Ago
Rithvick Rao obviously. We’ve already seen what happened!
the avengers is the best superhero/comic book movie ever made. its capture the spirit & essence what the avengers comic storyline its all about. the way joss whedon write & direct its you can tell his love & knowledge each character development arc and create a story within each superhero similar what Stan Lee & Jack Kirby do in the 1960s. the avengers is a group superhero who has the individual movies that bring them together when to world needed most.and the scene where every avengers stand alongside each others in the newyork battle scene capture the tagline 'AVENGERS ASSAMBLE' its the essence what its great about it.I LOVE IT SO MUCH....
yeah its a perfect adaptation of the early kirby comics
I love that you're both wearing non-Avenger t shirts! :P
James Robertson spidermans in avengers now
Pilox Planet Hes not an Avenger yet tho ._.
Juan Flores now he is lmao
It's funny how you see in Thor 2 that Mjollnir is actually smart enough to dodge obstacles.
“So many characters”
Wait till he sees infinity war xD
10:09 That was really rapey. Otherwise, nice review.
Best fucking awkward moment joke lmfao
Indeed, those lines raised my eyebrows for sure.
Yep, that's unacceptable.
YOU PC BRO
Yes, gross.
Its funny watching the reaction to the end credits looking back after watching endgame
Watching this after infinity war. ..and i laughed at the description of thanos.. purple guy😂😂 wonderful 10yrs of MCU❤❤😍
For those who didn't know, in Captain America: The First Avenger, Iron Man's dad was in it who's called Howard Stark. It would have been awesome if Captain America recognised Iron Man as the son of his friend in The Avengers.
Shiona Penrake I'm pretty sure he knew Tony Stark was Howard Stark's son
Hearing them talk about thanos it does bring a smile to my face
I have been listening to both of you guys for a few years now, and this old video is AMAZING!! It’s gold!
"she jumps off captain america's little thing"...wow :)
The Flick Pick for you x)
Wow, watching this back now is incredible, we have came so far
Aww baby John was so adorable!
Yeah he spermed in his pants
I loved the scenes at the end where the camera moved from one character to another seamlessly!
"There were so many characters" just you wait 6 years for infinity war young chris. There will be more.
John was skinnier than Chris lol.
No he wasn't wtf your blind
i like the chat about the difference between a fight scene and a confrontation
9:20
This was the first video I watched when you first made it and I became a subscriber that day.Great job on all you do man! Really really tight reviews.
17:19 *cough cough* ULTRON!
Titanic was good, but I think Avatar was wayyy overrated. The Avengers was the best superhero movie ever imo (Captain America: The Winter Soldier is a close second). Although I do love the Christopher Nolan Dark Knight trilogy. Also Captain America can and has held Mjölnir becuase Odin put a curse that only people that are worthy can carry Thor's hammer. Thanos is actually trying to COURT death...He loves her and he's trying to impress her by giving her more 'souls' I guess.
Came back after Endgame to see and it’s hilarious seeing how they don’t know who Thanos was or what the Infinity Gauntlet was... simpler times
Ha! Funny to hear you talk about Thanos before he became public knowledge
Can't believe you missed out the whole ironman vs Thor vs captain America scene
Thank you Chris for showing me who The Flick Pick is. I would have never found him out by myself.
Nailed it guys, all good points.
Keep up the great work!
the hate the man gives to Hawkeye, stop.
+Bastian Lorraine agreed
Forgive him. He hadn’t watched Age of Ultron yet.
Fuck Hawkeye
i don’t know why i’m here but i can at least say that now in 2019 one second bits of hawkeye in the two avengers 4 trailers cause the world to go nuts, especially the first trailer
Chop Chop fuck toy
lol I immediately knew which line you were talking about with the Hulk
Great discussion, guys! I honestly have NO problems with The Avengers. After seeing it twice, I can surely say that it's an instant classic and one of my favorite movies of all time (and I've seen many different movies). It's unreal how well the characters were all balanced. btw, what John said about Hawkeye being relieved he didn't have to fight was hilarious, but that part where he jumped off the building was FANTASTIC!
You guys should do more videos like this! Its awesome!!!
Wow this is 2021 and Chris is now in the process of making a movie.. Young Chris looks a lot different. His videos are way better today lol..
im so happy i wasnt the only who caught the iron man captain america attack with iron man shooting his blaster at caps shield, i remember using that in ultimate alliance 2, kept telling ppl about it and no one seemed to remember
I think it was quite clever of Whedon to turn Hawkeye into a baddie for a while. Because everyone was like "Aww what's Hawkeye supposed to do besides a demigod, a rage monster, a super soldier and a dude in a flying tank?" and Whedon was like "Well, Hawkeye CAN put out the whole Shield Station, almost single handedly"
“So many characters”
He
Hehe
Hehehehehe
*Wears DC shirt while reviewing Marvel film*
Chris is wearing marvel
Ilhan Tele he’s talking about the other guy
chris stuckman : "there are too many avengers in in the avengers "
russo brothers : " just wait my child "
Who's watching this April 2018?
Hey, Chris! Have you ever heard of spectacle creep? There is a nice Extra Credit video about the whole idea of movies getting bigger and grander, and although this is a review channel and not really focused on tropes, I thought that it might be interesting to you. Liked the video, btw!
lol the title cuts off after "Chris" and for a sec I though it was saying "Chris Evans" and I got really excited
I hope John has grown up and expanded his mind a bit since this review. It obvious that he made Chris uncomfortable several times talking about Black Widow. It’s not a PC thing, I think he just has a certain way of talking about women. I hope he grew out of it.
Yes, I don’t like when Chris and John do reviews together. I really respect Chris.
I'm so glad you also caught that. Chris did shut down some of what John said.
Totally agree! Stole the thoughts straight from my mind!
Great video u guys! U need to do more of these together. The infinity gauntlet is not only n the Thor movie (Odin's treasure room), but it also can allow anyone who wears it to have absolute control over the universe. It makes the Tesseract look like a nerf gun
You know half the avengers die by thanos snap
And its 2019 and we are waiting for avengers 4
I have the feeling that Loki's gonna die in Thor: Ragnarok. Or he fakes his death again to return in Infinity War to be killed by Thanos because he's not of any use anymore. Yeah, that'd be a better and more emotional death. Or in Thor: Ragnarok Thor could be forced to kill Loki. That'd be as emotional as when Thanos would kill him.
You were in the right ballpark 👍🏾😂
Funny hearing you two talk about Thanos and now 6 years, 12 movies, and billions of dollars later we are 5 weeks away from seeing him face off with five times as many Avengers in an epic climactic film in a ten year cinematic universe. What a world we live in now!
I'm a recent fan, love your reviews. Keep it up Chris! lol you look high in this video though!
I never had much of an appreciation or understanding for the Hulk in the comics. But yeah that line opened my eyes to what he's about
Hi Chris I'm just catching up on the vids keep up the good work, I don't know you were aware of theTransformers Movie 'The Return Of Optimus Prime' where all the robots are infected by a virus, and they need the Matrix to cure them, sounds familiar yep I'm guess this movie inspired the Matrix, all the best dude keep up the good work
14:15 😳😯😲😲 only people from 2020 will understand
So that was the line!!
I loved this movie so much, it's in my top 5
Great review. This is the first time in a while that I agreed with every word and joke you said.
FIRST POST!!!!!! Awesome movie, going to see it for a second time tomorrow
I got a 50 minute advertisement for bank of america after this video ended. Thanks a lot bofa
I loved the part where he jumped in to save that old man! I wasn't expecting that; it was just one of those classic heroic entrances.
Hawkeye first appeared in Avengers 17, so he was an early addition to the Avengers.
just saw this movie today...again....third time...i love it
It was defiantly in comic book fashion. I didn't think the old man would get killed, I thought someone would interfere such as another civilian, like in Spider-Man 2 on the train when everyone got between Doc Oc and Spidey. But when Cap did jump in the way my theater cheered!
oh i love the fact that u mentioned marvel ultimate alliance 2
Aww Flickster looks like a wee baby in this. My how time does fly.
I saw the movie yesterday for a second time and noticed that Pepper Potts and Agent Colsen actually say something about the Infinity Gauntlet. Very curious now!
LOL Thor's hammer en route with the music from the traveling paper airplane scene in Rock and Roll High School.
Will Avengers beat Avatar?
Yes...but not yet ;)
Not anymore
@@nd-31570 yeah even then Avengers can't beat 17 rereleases in China. God job James, you "earned" it.
The Infinity Gauntlet has six gems that control different things. The blue gem is part of Loki's scepeter, and controls the mind. I believe it does so two different ways.
1: With direct contact, allowing dominant control. (Hawkeye for example)
2: And by influencing anyone in its presence that may be vulnerable at the time. (example: the Avengers while they argue in the lab)
The second way is how Loki used the Hulk. Banner usually could contol it however, because of his frustration with the oth
What batman v superman could've been
+Daniel Ortega Thats funny. Loki being used as the villain again.. Wow.. Hawk Eye mind controlled the whole time? The extended Hawk Eye scenes with his family almost ruined Ultron for me.. Besides Ultron being terrible.
+DannyDankTv avengers is 10 times better than batman v superman and I like batman v superman better than ultron
The Avengers was overhyped.. They were on the Helicarrier the whole film.
DannyDankTv And these guys fought for 5 minutes in a movie with 5 movies inside with the justice league trailers being shoe horned in. Whats your point?
Nothing was shoehorned. All the Justice League stuff was the DAWN OF JUSTICE. It was in the title.. We knew this was a Justice League prequel.
it was in the US release of the film only but it will probably be on the Blu-Ray
Did anyone else have a problem watching this video that the fella on left has a hilarious man bun above his he's the whole time?
I get its the poster the whole time. It keeps changing the whole time and it's only the poster...BUT... it's all I can watch! It's great! In a funny way.
I'm not making fun! I swear. It just made me smile
In the comics captain America can pick up thors hammer and apparently in age of ultron he does
Avengers ending:villain opens a portal
Transformers ending:villain opens a portal
Suicide squad ending:villain opens a portal
Ghostbusters(2016) ending:villain opens a portal
Ghostbusters ending:villain opens a portal
truth!~~
I love the Avengers, i love Chris Stuckmann & The Flick Pick!
you guys are great
more like this please chris!
"He's a necrophiliac..." I freaking lost it. XD
“I don’t know what the infinity gauntlet is”… last time that’s ever said.
Avengers. Best Marvel movie created to date.
I probably have the dumbest way to discover who Thanos is, because I knew him from Super Hero Squad. It was only when I started watching that show that I realized who the guy in the post credits was.
Super Hero Squad was also my first introduction to Doctor Strange.
Oh I have seen it and it was freaking EPIC!
...Also on Thanos. He is not the owner of the Infinity Gauntlet, he battled to acquire the infinity gems, then placed them together on his gauntlet and became God. Now he was already majorly powerful before the gems. Yes, he is in love with Death, rather the actual personification of Death.
I've seen "The Avengers" since May 5th, 2012 and it was the best movies i've ever in my life, i give "The Avengers" an "A+" Loved the scene when The Hulk smashes Loki because that scene was EPIC and then after that he says "Puny God" during that scene i was clapping and i saying "Yeah" i'm glad you guys loved it.
I loved how in this movie, Hulk actually speaks and is articulate. We kind of got caught in keeping Hulk unable to speak intelligently. Hulk is still Banner. He is very intelligent just caught up in his uncontrollable rage. Disney showed this in its Avenger cartoon where Hulk answered a scientific question before Tony and even implies that the answer was obvious. This Hulk is beginning to show that Hulk doesn't become a "dumb" character.
nice! flickpick is calm in this one🙏
I was actually talking to someone about the whole Hulk thing like how he was a mindless ape on the Ship but then completely controled it at the end..And we figured out we think it's because Fear is a much stronger process than anger..You ever hear the story about the lady that lifted a car because her husband was trapped under it? When you have that much fear you can do some amazing things..But anger is different, rage is limited...So on the ship Banner wasn't just angry but that explosion
Triple correction: Ultimate Hulk can lift Thor's Hammer. There are several different versions of The Hulk inside of Banner. There range from World War Hulk, Grey Hulk, Mister Fix-It, etc. The only other Hulk that can lift Thor's hammer is the classic Savage Hulk. The Hulk is basically Banner's inner childhood self manifested in a large simplistic green physical form. The Hulk has the innocence of a child and just wants to be left alone. Only those who are pure at heart can lift Thor's hammer
Chris--In your review you said that Loki knew everyone's weaknesses but it didn't really seem that way. Could you explain it further?
that one moment when Black Widow chest kicks one of the bad guys and then hits the ground on her back and springs back up...wow...that just had my jaw open.
Love how their wearing Batman and Spider-man T-shirts to an Avengers discussion. ;)
... others and his life being threatened by the explosion, the gem found what would turn him if he didn't have a lid on it, ultimately becoming the catalyst for his rampage. This may clarify why he seemed to go from a threat to a hero all of a sudden to some of the audience.
Anger and rage are two different things.... Related... But different... On the ship he was hurt and it triggered a rage, and anger he couldn't control, when Widow starts talking about her life. In the end he let it flow himself. That's why the Hulk was more... in control... than usual.
I believe so, I'm not very much up to date with DP which as a fan I should be but I do remember seeing Deadpool trying to get the Hulk to kill him but the Hulk refuses so DP drops a nuke on an orphange or something to anger him. The comic is called Operation Annihalation.
Ps this Review did make me want to watch it again... Great Review...
cont. Every character had their great moments (even the more minor characters like Nick Fury, Coulson, and Agent Maria Hill). I loved Iron Man's character growth in this movie, as well as Captain America's (putting aside his problems and accepting his role as the leader). Also, LOVED Mark Ruffalo as both Banner and the Hulk. This Hulk is by FAR the best in terms of comic book accuracy and believability (he looks so much more real). Cap, Iron Man, and Hulk were my favorites in the movie.
