  • The two Petrol Engines of Kia Seltos already gave a dilemma to Kia customers and now the story moves ahead with Hyundai Creta. I am comparing the two types of engines in these two vehicles to tell you what suits you the best.
    The .1.4 Turbocharger had been an interesting pick for many people due to the BHP figures it shows on the paper, but only true car experts know the advantage of the 1.5 naturally aspirated engine.
    A small capacity engine having a turbocharger is not always a true reliable engine for many people. Watch the detailed video to learn more about what factors make the naturally aspirated engine a better choice than the Turbocharger engine.

    My running requirements is less, mostly go out on fun and enthusiastic drives (no revving engine on high rpm but mostly on long drives on cruise) , do my car maintenance regularly and change my car after every 5 years to get best resale value with max km run like 50000 kms. This led me buy 1.4 turbo petrol Creta SXO and I Love it !!! For little part when i need to overtake and all, this car drives like a rocket ! However if I drive on cruise speeds I get easily 16 -17 kmpl. I love my 1.4 T petrol car but that's me.

I mean i want a vehicle which will be normally be crusing at normal indian road conditions mostly ( very high traffic) but for weekend rides i want to go to hill stations which are just 50 kms away from our place never drove a automatic vehicle so very confused will the the automatic vehicles climb these hills?

    Very informative .. but I came across this after booking fronx 1.0L turbo. My yearly driving does not exceed 8000kms, and I like to cruise within speed limits, mostly on highway/expressway .. reason for buying this was cuz of this 15yrs ban on petrol cars so had to buy a new one. I did not go for NA engine as fronx does not have much features in delta+ variant so I was left with turbo option. My main query is, this engine is good for long drive? Earlier I had swift and even on it's 14th year, I could drive it non stop for 438kms, thats when I reached home lol. So this 1.0L turbo can do the same without much wear and tear if driven sanely? Thanks in advance

    Hi Nick. Very informative video. Is Verna 2020 1.5 Diesel better for long run compared to newly launched Vento 1.0 Tsi special edition. Somewhere I felt Verna petrol lacks the feeling of a good drive when I drove it. Is it that BS VI Diesel engines are also costly to maintain? Please suggest in my purchase of sedan car under 13 L for long run.

    • @NickZeek
      @NickZeek  Před 4 lety +2

      For best drive ability, you can surely opt for Vento. If you think you need to keep the car with you for over 6 years, then avoid cars with smaller turbocharged engines.
      Maintenance of Diesel cars is always high, and even higher in BS6. Consider Skoda Rapid, that’s better than Vento & Verna.

      @@NickZeek Thank you so much for your reply. I am considering to book Skoda Rapid. took a test drive also last week. It was very good. Just I hope it will last longer than 7-8 years as it is 1.0 turbo charged. Vento I felt lack of resposiveness from dealers and that may lead to bad service experience later too. Otherwise it was in my mind too. For me... Safety is utmost priority.

      Nick Zeek Finally.. I have booked Yaris G opt manual 2020 after long car search and waiting. Also considering your advice for natural aspirated engine for long run. Yaris! What a beautiful car. And such a pleasant drive. I got 19 average in my test drive of manual. Interiors are so elegant..I loved them more than Verna 2020 or City. Verna 2020 music system seems out of fit on dashboard. Some of the people don’t even know about it. One of my friend saw it first time and said it looks like Civic. And also hassle free maintenance and services. I have personally experienced the professional and quality services of Toyota. If you complain once about anything to top management in India, they even cut salaries, suspend or threaten to cancel the dealership if customers are not listened to. The dealer himself says, our management listens to and believes customers even if customer is wrong. They do deliver quality and give no-nonsense products.

    Is there any issue in Innova crysta petrol?
    I wanted to buy a innova crysta after lockdown and wanted to go for the petrol variant as i dont like diesel cars and mileage is not an issue for me
    Kindly suggest which will be a better option for me?

    • @NickZeek
      @NickZeek  Před 4 lety +1

      Good choice. Innova Crysta is a brilliant vehicle in all aspects. Such a nice family MUV.
      Petrol Vs Diesel:
      While you may hate Diesel’s NVH levels, high cost of purchase & maintenance, it’s more torqy than the Petrol Engine, which means carrying more passengers and luggage in Diesel Variant is better than Petrol variant for Engine’s long life.
      Petrol variant is good if you mostly drive in city and will less often go on long trips. High speeding in Petrol variant will be fun (drive safe), also the low NVH levels will give you driving pleasure.
      I suggest you go for Petrol variant taking into account the above factors.

    Sir, I've booked Kia Carens prestige model 1.5 L naturally aspirated Engine in April, will get the delivery probably in October,
    I had ertiga vdi from the last 10 years which I recently sold out and I drove it around 1 lac km only but 25% was in hills with my parents, wife and 3 kids....
    I just wanted to ask you, WILL I GET THE BETTER ENGINE STRENGTH/PERFORMANCE FROM ERTIGA vdi or not, specially in HILLS with my FAMILY.

    • @NickZeek
      @NickZeek  Před rokem +1

      Since it’s a naturally aspirated 4 cylinder engine, it can be relied upon. Always ensure to drive on aggresive rpms around the hills (means low gears), cuz it’s just a 1500 cc & it’s a BS6.

      I haven’t driven Carens 1.5L in hills (neither planning to), but I know the 1.5L engine of Kia-Hyundai. I know the drive dynamics & ECU of 1.5L Carens (driven in city open roads), hence I can say it will work well. HOWEVER, what seems good to me, may not be exciting or satisfactory to you… hence, don’t rely on my observations & opinion alone, take a test drive around inclined plains yourself and have some family members and friends along.

    Excellent content Nick, Just few queries
    1. Is 1.5L P engine underpowered or ok for new creta considering its kerb weight. Even earlier creta had 1.6L P.
    2. While travelling uphill with five passengers, luggages and Ac on, which will deliver more power 1.4T or 1.5P or 1.5D
    3. Pls suggest which engine of Creta or Seltos will give adequate power as well as comparatively lower maintenance & long life, 1.5D or 1.5P or 1.4T

    • @NickZeek
      @NickZeek  Před 4 lety +2

      1) 1.6P was the best Creta Engine and I own Creta SX+ 1.6 (very satisfied). New 1.5P Creta is yet to be tested by me. Allow me some time to test it. Remind me again after the lockdown revokes.
      2) 1.5D, because it has more torque.
      3) depends on the purpose of drive, if daily driving is for long distance and highways, then 1.5D, if daily driving is frequent in city in then 1.5P, if daily driving is not frequent and you are a decent driver with soft run, 1.4P.
      For some reason, if you choose 1.5P, get Creta cuz that offers 1.5P in top end variant whereas Seltos’s 1.5 top end HTX, beyond that variant, it’s only Diesel and 1.4 Turbo.
      Test my above opinion yourself in the Seltos & Creta, then decide.
      Also please share this video.
