  • 5 things to strictly avoid in turbocharger cars. Many turbocharged vehicles are running on Indian roads today including Hyundai Venue, Tata Harrier, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Hector, Jeep Compass, Ford Endeavour and many more.
    Driving a turbocharged car on the road takes some lesser efforts than others however it also includes a few necessary measures to take care of the engine of the car. Watch the video about 5 important things to take care of while driving a turbocharged vehicle. I have also explained basics of turbo lag in this video.
    Quick Summary:
    1) Engine Revving
    2) Engine Shut
    3) Engine Lugging & LSPI
    4) Premium High Octane Fuels
    5) Neutral Slip Angle (Oversterr & Understeer)

    But if I am not getting high cetane numb diesel, what type of additives I can use?

    • @NickZeek
      @NickZeek  Před 4 lety +1

      What car do you drive Dr Jadhav?
      Not at all advisable to use addictives... Because that can have unwanted results... Firstly, the additives would cause damage due to less fuel being consumed resulting in higher engine temperature especially in a small diesel engine. There is a high chance that this high temperature can cause the engine to runaway due to frequent knocking... Secondly, more fuel octane would result in more burning and more deposition of soot in EGR ... One of the 2 situations above will happen depending on the ECU software and code... So, overall, not recommended at all... In general, 3 cylinder diesel engines below 2 litres in capacity should not be modified by performance additives if long term reliability is a priority. You can stretch this upto 1.5 litres but strictly nothing below that, not even 1.4 Turbo. I advise you to use premium diesel, at max. High speed diesel; xtramile, Shell V power, etc.

      Turbo engines are not bad, you just need to drive them responsibly. You can definitely choose a Turbo petrol vehicle if power output is your prime need.

      For the best long term engine life and ultimate practicality, Innova Crysta 2.7 Petrol GX AT is the best option. For 2-3 years of usage, easy handling in city traffic, Kia Seltos 1.5 Petrol Automatic is best option. Watch this to know better: czcams.com/video/ZqrPUDqL84Y/video.html

    My opinion:- Disc brakes would create more imbalance as they act more aggressively than drum brakes but here I guess ABS will play it's role.

      Yes, you are right. The brake load will impact slip angle further, and ABS in most sub 4m small SUVs is usually 3 channel. So better to apply gradually and slow the car before cornering.
