An increasingly rare glimpse of a New York City taxi Ford Crown Victoria 2H85 still in service! These are getting exceptionally hard to find nowadays and this is a super rare catch of it in Flushing, Queens as it turns on to Main Street.

I want that car. I remember reading that in 1985 there was still a 1967 Plymouth Fury1 still working the streets. At the time it was the oldest operating cab in NYC and was originally a red top yellow body car.

The best replacement would’ve been the Dodge Charger but for some reason, it was only used as a taxi in a few cities such as Las Vegas. The new Charger’s electric 4-door variant would be the perfect replacement, being the only American full-size non-luxury sedan in production now, despite receiving too much criticism, assuming the most basic trim won’t have too many bells and whistles.
