Just last week I rode a new Thruxton back from Virginia to Atlanta. Took from 2:30 to 4:30am. Remember last Saturday when it was like 30-40 degrees?

I test rode an 850 Tiger 2 years ago during Sturgis Rally. In MY opinion, it's a fantastic bike....at least for the short 15 minute test ride. It was peppy, and light, and comfortable. I'd love to have one.
If it was 2 years ago, it was probably a Tiger 800. The Tiger 850 just came out this past year, so you should give it a test ride and see how closely it resembles the one at Sturgis!

OC: Either color is fine if the top box is on there too. I was impressed with your near scraping of the side case as you yeeted your self back onto the highway. Once I get my fluids replaced, I'd go for a 1K day. But my RT has cruise control.

Red with 3 bags. I have a 1250RT and the top case was a must! (It’s red by the way!). Time for you guys to do an iron butt ride! 1000 miles in 24 hours or less.
I have taken mt Tiger 800 from north Louisiana to central Iowa in a single day. All you need is a cramp buster and some highway pegs.
Crazy how those don't have cruise. I did 800 miles on gsxs with throttle lock and that was excruciating. 500 with nothing, like you guys did, would be tough. Great vid.
They're both sharp bikes but I'd take the three bags regardless of color. Awesome video and what a great situation to find yourselves in, looked like alot of fun.

Why not try out a dedicated hydration pack. Check out USWE. Their "no dancing monkey" shoulder straps are awsome. They got several sizes to choose from.

I just want to say I was close on my prediction on what you would pick up. I guessed the Tracer 9 GT. My first guess was the Tiger but I figured since all of the magazines already did th press ride so maybe that ship had sailed.

I live in Baton Rouge, LA and was going to NOLA to look at those two bikes next weekend but I guess they aren't there anymore. Of course after hearing your assessment of the bikes maybe I wouldn't be interested in them anyway.

@@marshall3498 I like Calimoto, i do get carried away with the lean angle recording, my MT-09 has been down to 46 degrees left and 43 right. I need to get a track fix soon as i don't think the police would enjoy my riding at present
