    I live in the states and own a .25 cal Sumatra. In my opinion it's the best gun you can buy in .25 cal as for as accuracy and power go. No other PCP gives you 100 fpe with slugs plus great accuracy. I have shot squirrels at 60+yrds with this gun and coyote. Everytime I think of getting another gun I think it still isn't better then my Sumatra.

      Yeah Sumatra's very, very docile at 12ft/lb but open that beast Mr. Belas to 72ft/lb which is exactly 9 clicks on your power from rock bottom with a 52 grain slug in .22 and it's just raw old school V8 muscle.

    I own a Kral puncher breaker in .25. It shoots a jsb 25.39 gr. At 911 to 901 for the first ten shots. Mine is black synthetic and is shorter in the butt of the stock. It's accurate and reliable. I really love the rifle.

    A great video once again, showing that not everyone has the same opinion on every gun. They are very nice rifles in their own way, and i wouldn't turn either one away. For me the Kral puncher breaker would be improved if the cocking lever was forward like on the Hatsan Gladius, or FX wildcat. An electronic trigger would solve all the bullpup set backs, but i expect they all have patents on them. It's time that we had an aftermarket option for electronic triggers on various rifles. Yes, it would cost more, but imagine the difference they could make.
    On the Samyang Sumatra, because they were designed for high power, having twin cylinders, it would look vastly better with just one, and you could still tweak plenty of shots out of it. Proving we are all different, I like the engraving. A bit like on the premier shotguns, or blinged out winchester rifles. Members at Tinsley Park Shooting club have both, and they both enjoy shooting them, and that is what counts in the end. Keep up the good work. Mark Holding (Tinsley Park Shooting Club)

    Parker Hale did a lever action air rifle, think it was called the Phoenix, friend had one, and it shot well. Air cylinder in the stock. Enjoyed the video.

    If I was to choose between the two, I would go for the Kral. The Samyang looks a bit too nose-heavy for me. I would also be too concerned that the wind might catch the barrel and spoil my aim.
    However, I'm super-happy with my Air-arms s400f, and my HW80. I'm still considering a bullpup conversion for the s400f.

    I am in the states & I like the lever action and adjustable power of the Sumatra. I shoot most everyday one of my 15 air rifles. Mostly break barrels but 3 pcp's I enjoy. Thinking of soon getting one of these lever action South Korean rifles.I don't like the blocky barrel look of it but I like everything else about it. Saving my pennies!

    Got a Kral bullpup all black synthetic at the shooting show after my Cometa bullpup mini was stolen ( now that was a nice looking gun but could not shoot for s***t due to the 36cm barrel. ) The Kral is fine for the money, the trig is a bit on the heavy side if you are used to a match grade but you can't jar it to go off, good when working round silo's and pens ratting.
    My main concern is the single shot tray is 0.2mm to high and deforms the skirt and gives you a flyer but I do not use it. The 2 mags that Barry G said they have problems with work fine. Plink clean, plink clean, repeat a few times and break it in as it is not out of the box ready. Turn the power adjuster from max back a smidge and you lose that shotgun effect down to 1/4" grouping at 25yrds.

    I own a Kral mk2, in .177 and find it to be very accurate even out to 45 yards with half inch groups. If you want a bullpup experience with half the price tag then it's a great option. The trigger can be adjusted after removing the stock and there are videos on CZcams showing how.

  • @bakerg21
    @bakerg21 Před 6 lety +3

    I had a full length Sumatra 2500 in FAC 5.5mm that easily put out 75fpe. Was one of my first pcp's when I was still green and obsessed with power, as all of us in unregulated countries start out.
    With the enormously strong hammer spring on the fac version it was the only pcp I've ever seen with a bear trap issue. Thought it had broken my thumb when I managed to do something stupid taking out the mag.
    Was very accurate, but needed a lot of user familiarity as it had no power curve at all - just went slower each shot, so it required you to 'play the power wheel' to get anything like a consistent string.
    Ended up selling it as I quickly figured out it was too powerful for a backyard plinker or pest bird gun and too bloody heavy to carry in the field. I also didn't really have the time or inclination to do the whole power wheel thing.
    Since then it's been daystates, edguns and weihrauchs plus one agt vulcan. Definitely don't regret the move! Neither does my thumb...
    Great show! Looking forward to the next part

    I had the MKII PB in .177 for 24 hours......loved the looks, handling and the price but the finish was poor with scratches and scrapes on the action and along the barrel, and it shotgunned pellets out at below 10ft.lbs. Got my money back and bought a BSA Ultra SE, haven't looked back!!

    @Ulani101 Před 6 lety +3

    If I had the choice, I would definitely choose the Sumatra, as it`s so different to anything else in my collection. It is on my shopping list, in all honesty. Just not got the funds to spare for that hobby right now, and I`m not short of guns to use on the range, and therefore can`t really justify rifle number 10 right now. 😉

    Hey guys, I do own a Kral puncher breaker MK1 , it has the "German made" barrel (that's what I've been told) I love the gun and in my opinion no other PCP in this price range can even get close to the accuracy (the key word being "this price range").
    YES... I know it does have the "bullpup syndrome" and it is a little picky with pellets. but once you get it right....
    I shoot with JSB jumbo heavy pellets and I rarely miss a target, it is not a competition PCP but it does get the job done
    I have shot live targets at 135 meters

    If you want a nice underlever you should look at the Parker Hale Phoenix mk2 it's a fantastic gun and looks great. I don't understand why more shops don't stock them.
    I know if you took the Sumatra out shooting for the day there are a lot of guns that will give you a better grouping but not many that would put a bigger grin on your face all day.
    I think for the Kral bullpup there are better guns out there for the same money, even in there own range.
    They had some great looking guns at the Northern shooting show the weekend for about £500 and less.
    Good show again always worth watching.

    If you had all the positives of the Sumatra, but in a beautiful, modern package, you would have a sure fire winner. As it is, it looks like a cross between a winchester repeater, a Benelli pump action and a cattle prod. I quite like the look of the Kral, but absolutely cannot and will not accept a sloppy trigger. Under any circumstances. Ever. You have become my favourite gun related show on CZcams. For many reasons, but mostly because of how you fit eachother. It just works.

    Great vid lads , funny , informative , and above all ( as there's jack s**t on the telly ) interesting ... Now , where do I start , yes the bullpup , and actually for a bullpup I quite like it ( it's been well documented in the past of my dislike of bullpups ) few niggles though , for instance , do they do a left handed version? If not it renders it useless too us " lefties " having to un-shoulder too cock it , not a problem with conventional rifles , as I found with my HW 100 , build quality seems ok " ish " , looks quite nice , and as you both agree a little fettling could bring it up too scratch , YES , it's ok , which as surprised me ... Now the jinsing sungsang whang dang Sumatra ... Which I'm gonna sum up quickly so don't blink
    A. Looks crap and too expensive
    That's it !!!!
