Really glad this video popped up in my recommended. I'm still in high school but I've been taking classes on computer science and as I've been progressing through my high school life I've wondered what I wanted to do after school quite often and Riot Games was one of the ideas that kept on popping up in my head but I felt like it would never really be achievable with how school has gone for me so far considering my low GPA. This video doesn't really answer any of the questions I have about what to do with my life but it definitively inspires me to think about it more seriously and helps me find the answers to my questions. Thank you for making this video :)
Very happy to have seen this video. I’m currently in my last year of college for 3D modelling and just seeing this story of how all the work pays off in the end is really nice to see. Also that it’s not all sunshine and butterflies but also ups and downs
Thanks for dropping this video , you have no idea how much it talks to me. Just got rejected by riot myself and now I trying to imrpove my portfolio and my skills in general. I'll try again fo sure but i enjoyed your story and gave me motivation.
This was such an amazing story to listen to and I definitely am glad I clicked on this video. I have a dream of working at Riot as an intern, or even as a full-time job, and this has inspired me and helped me understand that it takes sacrifice and dedication to get what you want and to be where you want to be. Thanks for sharing :)
This is really cool bro :) I'm in my sophomore year and I'm looking for internships. I pretty much grew up playing league and when I was younger, I used to imagine creating champions working for riot. Since then my interests have changed and I shifted more towards programming and Comp Sci. A few weeks ago while looking for internships I randomly searched up if riot has any positions and when I saw that they were looking for interns, let me tell you, my heart dropped ( in a good way ). All those memories of drawing champions and abilities came flooding back as well as my imagination for working at riot. I went ahead and applied knowing that I don't have many of the requirements just yet, just to test my luck. Unfortunately I haven't heard back but that's fine because I still have so much room to grow and learn more in this field. I'll definitely apply again next time intern positions open up. By then I'll definitely polish my skills and have more experience with the requirements. Just wanted to share my experience as well, great video man! I wish the best for you and your future!
This is a great story.. Inspiring to never give up hope. A week ago I was hit with news that the recruitment team in Dublin decided to go a different route for the Network engineer position. Your outlook to continue to perfect your craft. Definitely has lit a spark in me to continue to do the same. Working on their Esports infrastructure is a goal. One day hopefully it will come to light. Congrats on the position and the hard work! Keep it up!
This is so inspiring! It's exactly what I wanted since Riot Games is also my final goal(only difference is im not planning to go into film). I'm currently studying common art and design, half in media production and half in game design in polytechnic which is like college? I do plan on being either a game designer, illustrator or concept artist down the line at riot so this video truely helped me see what it will be like down the road so thank you! I'll work hard on my portfolio and upcoming work to hopefully land an internship in year 3 :D
This is very inspiring. I dreamed of being a video editor or a graphic designer for 5-6 years, doing small projects and stuff. I was struggling with ADD/ADHD and depression ,so I never could deadlines and even tho I liked my end products I stopped 2 years ago and found a job fitting for me. Still this vid makes me wanna try again. Does someone know if your not an US citizen how hard is to get a job at riot 😅?
This is getting a bit more traction than my usual so here are some things I wish I added (cause I finished this video at 6AM then uploaded it 2 hours later). I wouldve loved to add projects I worked on with CLG as B-roll when I mentioned it, as well as some photos of me at Riot's LAX campus when i visited. Despite that though, thank you for watching!
So they always respond, even with when the answer is negative? How much time it took for you to get the email because I have already waited for more than a month and just assumed I didn't get it?
Please nerf junglers, they are too broken, they HAVE been broken as a role and fundamental in theory impacting 95% of the matches out of the 500+ I've played being FULL HEALTH 99% of the time. In my top lane matches, out of the 100+ games I play hugging the tower simulator, only 10% of those games I get a gank, and the other 90% is me getting ganked, in which 10% of all of those matches, I get dove on.
@@kennygondales btw in the background there was multiple riot songs like the rise from lol or the ticking away from valorant did u work on those or u just put those in the video

I think a huge reason i am struggling to achieve my dreams is because i am not willing to sacrifice anything. hopefully i can change that mentality

Weird, I had almost the same exact experience with Riot, got rejected and then accepted a few weeks later. It was crazy time
Right now my main dream is to be a rioter.

Don't bother with this company, they're horrible and don't deserve employees. Their CEO is a misogynistic assholes who used to abuse women.
im going to fucking make it
