“This isn’t the first time I’ve seen this this is maybe the 30th” ME TOO SAM ME TOO
Saaaame.
Same
It's more like *Voice Teacher falling in love with Jeremy Jordan for 9 minutes straight*
Hahahah fanboying so hard. And deservedly so
Correction- "for nine minutes gay"
I STRAIGHT UP SNORTED LMAO YOURE NOT WRONG
Hysterical
And who isn't in love with Jeremy?
Get yourself someone who looks at you the way Sam looks when watching this video.
Exactly what I was thinking.
To be fair, is that not everyone's reaction to Jeremy Jordan😂
Just what I thought
Every coach (musical, athletic, professional, fitness, life, etc.) should be required to watch how Sam Johnson gives constructive feedback. The man is the master of identifying areas that can improve without hurting confidence. He gives solid criticism without tearing people down. Uplifting professional = Sam Johnson
I just love how he describes things. He makes things make sense and breaks things down for lay people in a great way.
three things:
1) this performance was great
2) your reaction was great
3) your hair looks great
4) his hair looks great
i’m a very simple girl, i see jeremy jordan, i click.
it looks like you’re completely in love with jeremy and i can relate
Your username I can't 🤣
LOOK AT DA PRECIOUS LINNAMONROLLLLLLLL
Who isn't in love with Jeremy?
Lost in his Art . A good thing
Oh yes! Please react to Jeremy Jordan She used to be mine!
Yes please! I know it was for miscast but I was screaming cast him as Jenna already you cowards!!! 😭😂
Wolff Family Vlogs yeeeeeessss
yesssss!!
Or his cover of "It's All Coming Back To Me Now"
I need to find someone that looks at me like Sam Johnson looks at Jeremy Jordan.
dribkram someone already does you just don’t see it.
I think that's how everyone looks at Jeremy Jordan when he sings.
I loved your disclaimer "This isn't the first time I've seen this, I've watched it like 30 times" :-) When you're reviewing performances you like/enjoy, it's so much fun to watch.
Your a natural anti-depressant
Aaron Morris right!
OMG this is so cute! I agree
I know Sam makes me feel warm
Absolutely
You're*
I'm sorry I had to
The way you look at Jeremy is how all of us look at Jeremy singing 🤣🤣😍😍😍🙌🏻
YES I LOVE JEREMY JORDAN you have to react to his cover of Celine dion’s it’s all coming back to me
YES!
Jeremy Jordan is one of my favorite male vocalists. He just so damned talented.
Wow, I gotta agree. When he was going really big and heavy (so much so that you think his voice might crack) just to fall into that soft, pretty note.
That definitely takes a good bit of control over your voice. I’ll pay more mind to my transitions from “small to big” voices when singing now!
Jeremy Jordan....YES!!!!
How have I not seen this performance before... oh my gosh.
I'd love to see you do more Broadway performers. I love listening to that sort of thing so much and I'm always blown away by how they can do what they do.
Sam!!! We need to hear more if your voice! I love to hear your small snippets of song!!!
I had not heard of Jeremy Jordan before, his voice is giving me shivers. I'm definately adding him to my playlists. This performance reminds me of one of your own that you have posted.
Check out Broadway, Here I Come. It's beautiful, tragic, and one of my favorites.
@@zanneturtle Thank you. Checking it out now.
His performance of Its All Coming Back is one of the best things you could have ever heard
you should listen to him singing 'ive told you now'! it's absolutely spectacular :)
Seconding All Coming Back to Me, also She Used to be Mine and Don’t Speak, which is a really funny performance
P!nk, during either her live aerial performances or Try live where she's fighting and being thrown. I'd love to understand the singing control between the still and active performers.
she's not singing during that.
@@margicates553 Pink is singing during her aerials, and is singing very well!! Perhaps, you're thinking of Britney who never sings live...and barely sings on her CDs either.
Sam's touched upon the fact that some performers can sing and dance, and it doesn't impact their vocal abilities. It's about breath control and keeping the proper pressure on the air stream going through the vocal chords. Broadway singers do it every day. Heck, marching band kids do it too. Moving, almost running, and still being able to play their instruments in tune (well, most of the time).
Here is that Try performance at the 2012 AMA's:

Or, Sam, would you be willing to review Pink's Glitter in the Air performance at the 2010 Grammy's?
czcams.com/video/WH4k6alnE5k/video.html
OMG YASSSSS....glitter in the air is my FAVORITE...or TRY!!!!
Yes P!nk P!nk P!nk. I've requested this a few times but I'm not sure if Sam saw it.
Agree with P!nk! But I like her (blow me) one last kiss performance instead :)
Omg I love Jeremy Jordan. He was fantastic in smash
You’re actually one of my fav technical reactors on CZcams. Even though your vernacular is clearly on par with a professional, your mannerisms and annunciation make such a great layman context for what you’re trying to convey.
it's 11:00pm here in the philippines
i was about to sleep
but then i got this notification
I think the 'rough' parts are a character choice
I just loved watching you enjoy watching Jeremy sing. The joy on your face was so lovely.
Your analysis is always enjoyable to watch. Just by watching your videos I am becoming more aware of how I sing and attempt to improve. Thank you for sharing your passion with us :)
Someone commented below that, "Every coach (musical, athletic, professional, fitness, life, etc.) should be required to watch how Sam Johnson gives constructive feedback." As his student for the past few months, I concur. Sam is a fabulous voice coach, very mature for his age, and understands singing dynamics at a deep level. In studying with him, it's not just my voice that got better, I was also able to open up my emotional range and degree of personal expression
I wish I could afford to have a vocal coaching sessions with him. I really loved how he dissect a certain performance from technicalities to storytelling nuances.
Jeremy Jordan is great. I like how you point out that he’s in character the whole time. It’s not necessarily something I would have caught at first.
First Sam did Queen and now Jeremy Jordan?! Man, when you come back you really come back. Jeremy's voice is one of my favorites. He's such a beautiful talent. (Watch Last Five Years with him and Anna Kendrick...he's fantastic)
Jeremy must be my favorite. If I could have anyones voice, I would choose his. Please, analyse more of his performances 🙏🏻
Have you ever considered reviewing something from Seth McFarlane? Maybe something where he's singing as a cartoon character vs him singing with his regular voice?
Yes please😍
That would be awesome!
YES!! I have one of his CDs, his voice is beautiful! He's amazingly talented! Truly, there's nothing that man can't do!!
Good call!
Fly away. He Sounds just like Frank Sinatra.
As your usual offering, Sam, I learned so much to apply to my own singing. Specifically, when you described the “quiet flip” of his voice from chest to head (hope I got that right) I sat and practiced it myself while watching the video. It was super helpful to “know how it feels” as you are always iterating. Love ❤️ always
That’s where I’ve always struggled.......the small sounds are killer. The belter notes are no problem! I got that!
The small sounds take intention to stay on pitch and pitch is so important because it’s all they have going for them!
Yeah, I totally related when you said that.
I love your enthusiasm and passion for what you do! Really enjoying your videos.
I love this one. Learning to be in character as a performer is so important!
you should react to jeremy jordan singing she used to be mine from waitress. the performance and his voice during the whole thing is so wonderful
Thank you for reacting to him! I love him so much! It’s all coming back to me now is a breathtaking cover from him too! You should check it out.
Love you Sam. Appreciated you replaying that one part of the video after you explained what was going on. 👍🏼💗
I love how you describe things and break things down. I’d love even more description on how a singer is doing what they’re doing when they’re doing it well. Learning a lot from your channel so thank you. Also would love to see you giving voice lessons and working through certain things that are common problems for singers with someone so we can see it.
Yes! I love this so much. This is a reaction I didn't know I needed. It's impossible not to love his rendition.
I love when you give examples, it's so helpful to actually hear the difference in what your talking about.
This is one of my favourite performances ever! I'm so happy you made a video about this 😊
Yes!!! Thanks for reacting. I’ve been waiting for Jeremy Jordan to appear on your channel.
i think the roughness in his voice toward the end gives the song more emotion and makes it feel real
I didn’t know I needed this until now. Sam reacting to Jeremy Jordan= instant thumbs up.
Ah! this is a lovely song and hes a very pleasing to listen to - ill have to investigate him a bit more!
Lisa Helling Try his version of She Used To Be Mine if you want something tender or his cover of It's All Coming Back To Me Now for something dramatic.
*coughs* search up Santa Fe
Please and thank you
*stops video* “he’s already in character.” So talented.
Thanks Sam, I really needed this.
Love what you do Sam and your videos have helped me so much in developing my voice as a live singer and I've already been singing for over 20 years! Could you please do an analysis on Robert plant from led Zepplin? Would be good to show a new generation just how good he was
hi sam your videos have taught me so much about technique and what to look for when watching singers perform .
I’ve never heard this song or this person sing and I’m so grateful you showed us this performance!!! It’s beautiful. Thanks Sam!
I love watching your videos even though I know nothing about singing! I agree with a lot of what you say even though I don’t know the technical terms but I hear what you hear, I enjoy watching! Ty
Every video I watch gets me singing again. From hearing things you’ve said, I’ve been able to learn more about my voice, and be able to recognize there are just some days my voice doesn’t have it!
Thanks for allowing me to discover new artists and helping me understand all the work that's needed to be able to get the sound they want! Very constructive and agreable as always
Love that you are sharing your knowledge on singing techniques. So interesting to then try and pick up on what you talk about here in other performances.
Yessss Jeremy Jordan! Been watching him for years. I’m so happy he’s getting more recognition for his singing
Awesome review! I learn from all of your videos!
Love love love when you sing along Sam!!
I just got to know about Jeremy Jordan today( and I'm sorry to be so late) and I started to watch every performance of him I could find and that's how I found this reaction. Thank you for this video and I will be watching every reaction video you make of his performances
Awesome choice!! Jeremy has such a beautiful and dynamic voice. I'm still angry with NBC for canceling SMASH!!
I've watched that video probably 60 times lol... I got super excited seeing that you had a video about it
I love that you did Jeremy. He's the reason I started watching some theater videos. Also people saying how amazing his voice is got me curious to look at that greatness.
I just watched this clip yesterday! I’m a big fan of Jeremy Jordan’s. His voice is so amazing!
I love Jeremy Jordan! You should do more of his Performances!
Losing My Mind sung by Jeremy Jordan has the same *energy* as stonecold CLASSIC torch songs like Ella Fitzgerald singing Dream a Little Dream of Me, or Dinah Shore (or Sinatra) singing It Had To Be You. It's just so damn jazzy and emotional yet smooth.
React to his cover of "It's All Coming Back To Me Now" by Celine Dion
Waking up listening to this song and watching you reacting to it ♥️ Totally made my day.
OMG my two favorite things! Sam and Jeremy
Yay!! Loved this!! Keep doing broadway related stuff!!
Omg I can't believe you reacted to Jeremy Jordan! I love you both so much
I learn a lot with every video. Music and singing is such a new world to me.
I legit had to watch this twice because the first time I was enjoying watching you enjoy the song so much. Not even ashamed LOL
I love Jeremy SO MUCH. He's such a great performer.
Dude! you are too awesome! I bet I can speak for everyone here, We all want to hear you sing what ever you want. We want to hear you my friend.
This is gorgeous. Also searched for “Laura Benanti Explains” after seeing the pop up on your screen lol. Thank you!
Yes yes yes. This is the type of content I am here for!
Loved this performance and your review of it! It’s so much fun to learn the dynamics of singing, even if I don’t sing at all lol...
Sam, your hair is perfect! Look at that volume girl yasss! Also the way you look when you listen to him is so adorable!
YES!!! Love that song 😍 And I love watching you react to something you enjoy so much 😁
.. yeah He's always into Character, that's why I'm a big Fan after Newsies..and I love the way you describe the style!
Loved the song, and your analysis. It would be great to have voice lessons from someone like you, Sam. I enjoy singing, but just do it for "fun", and have never had any sort of training.
First of all, 10/10 at your first comment "he's already in character" with that smile and nod. Cracks me up every time. Also please react to more Jeremy Jordan (she used to be mine, for example) and shoshana bean!!! (never loved a man w/amber riley live, make it rain, etc etc etc).
Really love these types of reaction videos.
I’m not a singer but I love these videos. Really interesting to watch.
Thank you for doing Jeremy Jordan.
Thank you! I'm always looking for more analysis of Broadway singers.
Omg my favorite vocal coach reacting to my favorite singer? YASSS I never clicked so fast! And the way you watch his performance----SAME😂😂 Pls react/analyse more of him it's a pleasure to all of us:DD
I'm with ya on that! I've seen this over 30 times!
I have never heard of this singer until this video, but he reminds me of a softer, somewhat smoother Michael Buble’. I’m a new subscriber and I love your professionalism, Sam. I’ve commented on your Community how I’d love to hear your analysis on some Gospel music! (Tamela Mann singing Change me or Koryn Hawthorne with Natalie Grant live at the Dove awards singing Speak the Name.) I’m an alto with a strong vibrato that’s trying to figure out how to better control it, especially when singing with others. I so enjoy your videos.
Love Jeremy’s performance and your take on it.
Sam I would love to hear more of YOU singing!!! Xoxo
I absolutely LOVE Jeremy Jordan! 😊
Loved him in Newsies. Never watched him in other performances. I need to catch up! Amazing voice.
Your work is awesome. Greetings from Spain!
Thank you for these technical reactions to what's going on with his voice and skill technically. And overall I just really enjoyed your reaction!
Thank you for doing another Broadway-style video!!! Great job as always! :)
Great reaction as always :)
The little things you notice and point out are so interesting, like how the rough transition isn’t wrong, in fact it helps sell the vulnerability of the character. Those are the moments that elevate a performance from good to masterful and it’s nice that you talk about them and why they work.
Please do more Jeremy Jordan videos. He's so great!
Love your channel.
Yesss!!! More Jeremy please
