hey megadrivingschool, in the future, can we screen out the literal slurs (or shortened versions of slurs) in the video commentary? i'm referring to the use of "tards" (of course, short for "r*tards," a slur against those with mental disabilities) in the commentary of clip #23. thank you. (and to anyone else who sees this comment, this is not an invitation for discourse. the word has been widely labeled as a slur so it is no longer up for debate. please do not start. i've seen what these comments sections are like.)
2:16 Sounds like the truck driver is making excuses for not noticing traffic slowing down in front of him and slowing down in time! He has no one to blame but himself for that accident!
Yes the trucker is at fault, and could have stopped with room to spare. However, people do still see the adiquitte space truckers leave and move into it. Heck, most vehicles move into my lane MAYBE 30 feet off my bumper. That's only about 2 car lengths.
2:19-2:28. That was the lamest excuse I've ever read. It was all on the distracted trucker. In any case, kudos to the driver of the rearended car for steering away and avoiding a second crash.
I was taught that when passing, to stay in my lane until I'm past the other car or truck until I can see them in my rearview mirror, then I know I'm safely ahead enough to pull in front of.
1:22 "the semi accelerated so I couldn't evade the U-Haul!" 2:19 nope, sorry, that was not some four-wheeler cutting into the truck's safety distance, this was simply "trucker not paying attention". We can give him the benefit of doubt and assume he was checking the mirror to try and get over, but it's still entirely his fault. 5:24 trucker not paying attention... 7:28 I don't think it was selfishness, it was boundless incompetence, possibly coupled with distraction. The way I see it, the red SUV was snoozing in lane 3, didn't realize their exit was coming up, then startled , wanted to get over, started braking and moving over, failing to notice the white car in lane 1 coming up fast. Then startled again from the white car almost hitting them, totally forgetting about the semi in lane 2, trying to escape the crash with the white car and instead hitting the semi. Simply a tale of gross incompetence. But I agree with the second sentence. With that level of competence, they should be walking... 9:24 can't truckers take these idiots off the road? They have the best chance of surviving a crash with one of these idiots, unlike e.g. a family in a van... however, I can understand that nobody wants to get into a crash.
I hate it when people say it was someone else's fault when the video clearly shows different. The driver of the car was a better driver than the semi driver. I drove for Halliburton with trucks weighing up to 40k lbs. and could stop better than some of these damn semi drivers. Problem is most of these trucks are automatic so a monkey could make them go.
That pickup did spin due to black ice. The entire road surface looks slick, otherwise you'd see skid marks being left behind. Not to mention, for that longmof a skid, there's usually tire smoke too.
Yeah and EVERY four wheeler thinks that an indicator on to signal a turn, is an invitation to speed up & try to pass! Every Four Wheeler: “Must Pass Truck, must pass truck…… then slow down & turn in 50-yards!
23 is 100% on the POV trucker. Its up to him to merge safely, which in this case would have been to slide in behind the lumber truck. People already on the interstate are under no obligation to make you a space, their job is to drive predictably so you can plan your merge.
The driver was absolutely going too fast, but I'm going to say that judging by the multiple roadsigns indicating a sharp curve that have clearly been knocked over in the past from vehicles sliding off, that this is a badly designed ramp and needs to be re-designed. We have shit like this all over U.S. roadways.
Yeah. To me, it seems that the white van (U-Haul) cuts of the red car, i.e., changes lanes without using the turn signal or looking into the mirror(s) . The red car tries to avoid a collision by moving to the next lane on the right, but the semi is already there.
Yeah, I've been noticing that this channel makes a ton of dumb captions. I dunno if they are doing this on purpose to get tons of comments or what, but they are making themselves sound ignorant, and a ton of others are noticing this too.
#5 at 1:23 you can see the shadow of the U-Haul van on the lower left of the screen. 1:24 you can see the front ends of both the U-Haul van and the SUV some into view on lower left and it this point the U-Haul's wheels are crossing over into the lane to it's right. I've driven amongst my fellow Minnesotans on this particular stretch of highway for 35 years. In my experience one of two things likely happened. The first scenario: the U-Haul van driver turned their signal on indicating a desire to merge to the right. Unfortunately in MN, that's all too often an indication for many MN drivers to speed up in order to get in front of the driver before they merge. The second scenario: The U-Haul driver just started merging over with no signal. Logically it would have made sense for the SUV driver to just hit their brakes in order to avoid the collision. But maybe in a slight panic, the SUV driver lost situational awareness and forgot the large semi right next to them.
I used to drive a truck. One time, a semi was slowly passing along side me (3 or 4 lanes each direction) when they blew a drive tire. That explosion echoed LOUDLY between out trailers.
#21: Now, I've been in situations like this; driving a loaded semi, 4-wheeler passes me, loses it when he hit's the 'bow-shock' off the front of my rig, and starts spinning. My way of dealing with this is a bit of advice which comes from Stock Racing: "If a car spins out in front of you, HOLD YOUR LANE. By the time you reach his location, he'll be somewhere else". If the cammer here hadn't switched lanes, he would've avoided hitting the idiot....
#8 Again, ignore the storyline as that is NOT what happened, no 4 wheeler cut in at any time, the truck was simply going too fast and not paying attention to the road ahead.
I've done my share of griping about some truck drivers but a few months ago my daughter and I had a scary incident on the interstate where a man kept trying to make us hit him or force us off the road. He chased me across the lanes and there weren't any exits to take. There was 2 semi's that were able to see what this guy was doing and I'm pretty sure they hid me and boxed him out. Maybe it wasn't on purpose but either way I'm so grateful. I didn't do anything to cause road rage with this guy and he came out of nowhere so I think he had purposeful, bad intentions.
Time for that trucker to clean off his rear lights….. while the cammer could have been driving slower and further away, it’s also important to keep your lights uncovered and functional. The cammer didn’t realize the truck in front was slowing down because of the snow that was built up on the back. Time to get on the old CB radio and call him out for it
And if that driver had coasted and not touched his brakes, having them cleaned off wouldn't have mattered. Period. As for LED... They produce zero heat, and get covered in snow a lot easier.
I have no idea who writes these idiotic captions, but @2:28, the truck clearly did not "leave adequate distance", as no 4 wheeler "cut into the lane". The semi was simply following too close for when the traffic ahead suddenly stopped (which is what you have to leave sufficient distance for).
Driving School?, this already seems like comments without foundation or reason always in favor of truckers, in several past videos, where clearly the truck driver is at fault [I give as an example that of a past video (373) where the trucker turns in a U-turn on a two-lane highway without paying attention to the vehicles behind of them, in the canal they defend him as if he did nothing wrong, excusing him for placing an indicator, and that just by placing the left turn signal and moving to the right lane, now You have every reason to turn without looking left, when in your case you had to stop on the right shoulder, wait for traffic to pass and then turn, and we all know that trucks need 2 lanes to turn or 20 meters to make a U-turn.], now in today's video, the truck driver was either not paying attention to the traffic conditions, or simply "HE" did not leave enough space to brake, they accuse the small cars of cutting him off, when in the video you can only see that the trucker doesn't stop in time. If you are going to make comments, let them be objective to the video and not simply a comment taken out of nowhere because "I'm a truck driver."
Okay, old trucker here : 0:50 time. What happens, in a situation like this : The left steering front wheel, gets compromised (bent) when hitting heavy objects at an IN ward angle, This causes the truck to veer left. IN this case, the wheel is hit BEHIND the bearing, on the back half of it. This, bends everything OUTward - sucking the truck LEFT. Same thing, happened to me in July of 1978. Kenworth Cabover, hauling 5 axle of hot asphalt - got hit front right side, and tire got sucked OUTwards, thereby causing it to flip sideways ( landed on passenger side, on the middle of the 2 lane highway) Cab was just in right hand lane . Aspalt dribbling DOWN hill - thank God. I crawled out the front window, staggered to right ditch - UPHILL. Safe, not injured. POINT BEING : if your HIT sideways, on ANY steering tire, be prepared to PULL tight, on steering wheel, attempting to keep it ( the loads' centre of gravity ) directly in the direction of travel - hopefully preventing a ' tipover'. > > >> Watch, all left / right stop signs, for this EXACT VIDEO ! safety, is VISION folks. ! Thanks - for the ongoing education, of todays' dumb, infantile emotionally immature , out - of = control so-called ' drivers '.
Yep, didn't take long for me to realize like most dashcam channels nobody ever has the straight story. Shame on this channel for calling themselves a driving school and not even understanding traffic laws before assessing who caused an accident.
@1:28, wrong wrong wrong! The trucker did not try to change lanes, three car in the 3rd lane merged blindly, 2nd lane car swerved into the trucker. Are ye blind??
There were several comments in the video implying that the right side of a semi-truck and trailer is the "blind side". While those vehicles are travelling in a straight line, the driver has near equal visibility on both sides! However, they have huge blind spots all around the vehicle.
1:40 "all he had to do was not drive like that" is a perfect one sentence summary of this entire channel and all other idiots in cars channels/videos lmao
8:24 You see that mirror on the hood to the right? Yea, that one, the one if you looked into it you would have seen that red car.... With all the mirrors on big trucks there are no blind spots, only spots that you didn't look at with the proper mirror... 8:29 Again, with all the mirrors on trucks, there really are no blind spots, just spots you didn't look at before you made a move.
8:55 I see super truckers do this crap all the time and it’s annoying. The trucker had no right to force the cars out of his way. Sure the car drivers could have been nice and gave the guy some space (I certainly would have), but they were under no obligation to do so.
#4: Was taking a wet ramp too fast, not only loses traction, but ALSO flips his rig. I certainly hope this driver loses his CDL, because he has no business driving a truck!!!
2:18 Now that's ingenious! Get one out of the way so you have enough room to stop! 5:26 Maybe watching Jerry Springer. 8:22 There is a problem with this logic. Trucks have to drive beside each other all the time. What then??
I am always amazed how many of these trucks , I can see a speed flinch before the crunch!? Am I blind, or it’s that hard to see it? Lack of attention, in my mind with as high as We Sit! Mirrors & gauges every 15 seconds not minutes!
What's interesting is how many of these idiot drivers can make a move that causes a five car accident and , like Mr. Magoo, drive away unscathed, leaving a wake of destruction behind them.
@ 00:04 - i didnt view that as a legitmate right-turn lane (anyone else?). I initially thought the suv was just being the vigilante road police (which would be stoopid, but what elee here isnt?).
#3 - I try not to do this, but if I do (the 4 wheeler), I carry a LOT of liability. I cannot imagine the collision damage to the truck and it's cargo. True story ; worked with a lady in IT who started life at an insurance agency. Told me the story of a teen driver causing and at fault accident with a car carrier carrying 8 Lexus'.
8:08 When I'm passing a truck, I'm very cautious when I get along side him; I watch them very closely and get past as quickly as I can. Just assume that the trucker can't see you and act accordingly!
I could upload a video daily, with my intermodal work in Chicago. The amount of nonsense I see from 4 wheelers and other trucks, is astounding, to say the least.
responsibilty of merging car to find a gap and safely merge; however the driver on the main road is also responsible to allow a gap for the car to manage the merge, in this case , the truck could have allowed the small car into the spot, even if he was not major fault, it would sure be better than reporting and repairing truck damage to your company
#29 - in all fairness, you might chalk this down to be ignorant. For some reason, when people get in their car, the brain goes into the glove compartment. It's likely not intentional (some exceptions noted :)).
Truck driver here.. just wanted to comment on 6:44. Um, no. Just like in 5:06, the skateboard had the right of way. It does not matter if he saw/didn't see him or traffic on his left or not... this was 100% the Kenworth driver's fault. IF YOU ARE MERGING ONTO THE FREEWAY, YOU MUST YIELD TO TRAFFIC ON THE FREEWAY. It's a law across the U.S. Period. There is no debate.
If you've ever sat in a truck, you'd know the driver of the truck straight up couldn't see the 4-wheeler. Most likely didn't check his fender mirrors properly, from what I can see. Still fully the truck's fault.
Actually, looking closer, it looks like the trucker was waiting for him to pass to move into the lane behind him, and didn't expect the car to slow down right in his blindspot. Assumed the car had carried on at the same speed and was clear of his bumper. Which would fall under tailgating.
1:25 as s great as megadrivingSchool is this channel makes conclusions at times with limited or no evidence. The vehicles are not in view prior to the U-Haul approaching on an occupied lane be regardless of them speeding up we shouldn't even be brought up in this instance
Boy oh boy. how many of these trucks rear ending people could be avoided if the truckers were looking further ahead instead of focusing on the vehicle right in front of them that doesn't weigh 80,000lbs and can stop on a dime.
#5 Watch the video carefully and ignore the idiot that wrote the storyline as that is clearly NOT what happened. The U-haul van caused the other vehicle to swerve into the Semi, then fled the scene.
I am sick and tired of transport drivers going on about their Blindspot. Guess what. Those big wing mirrors are there to eliminate blind spots. They need to be aimed and adjusted proprtjy

2:20 I don't see any cutting in front here, just a distracted semi driver.
I had to watch it a second time. Trucker is FOS….
Yes the trucker is at fault, and could have stopped with room to spare. However, people do still see the adiquitte space truckers leave and move into it. Heck, most vehicles move into my lane MAYBE 30 feet off my bumper. That's only about 2 car lengths.

I was taught that when passing, to stay in my lane until I'm past the other car or truck until I can see them in my rearview mirror, then I know I'm safely ahead enough to pull in front of.
I mean I guess that works for when you're just starting driving

5:24 trucker not paying attention...
7:28 I don't think it was selfishness, it was boundless incompetence, possibly coupled with distraction. I swear truck drivers gotta be the best source of dash cam videos. They see all sorts of stuff. I wish I had one when I drove a box truck.
That's what happens when you spend 75% of your life on the road.
2:17 - 2:20 sure looks like an inattentive trucker, not an attack by pool loving flamingoes.
There was no "black ice"....the truck just changed lanes too fast.
That pickup did spin due to black ice. The entire road surface looks slick, otherwise you'd see skid marks being left behind. Not to mention, for that longmof a skid, there's usually tire smoke too.
#18 Many folks, including some truckers, seem to think a blinker is a demand, not an indicator of intent or a request.
Yeah and EVERY four wheeler thinks that an indicator on to signal a turn, is an invitation to speed up & try to pass!
Every Four Wheeler: “Must Pass Truck, must pass truck…… then slow down & turn in 50-yards!

Drivers be messing up, no matter how many axles the have.
1:05 "Gee, I wonder what these dashed lines are along the side of the road? Well, no need to think of it, I'll just not slow down for the curve."
The driver was absolutely going too fast, but I'm going to say that judging by the multiple roadsigns indicating a sharp curve that have clearly been knocked over in the past from vehicles sliding off, that this is a badly designed ramp and needs to be re-designed. 1:27 The video does NOT support the conclusion put on screen. It is but one of several possibilities.
Yeah. To me, it seems that the white van (U-Haul) cuts of the red car, i.e., changes lanes without using the turn signal or looking into the mirror(s) . The red car tries to avoid a collision by moving to the next lane on the right, but the semi is already there.

Yet another rerun compilation. Merry Christmas!
2:54 To be fair, I was looking at the lime green car, too.
I didn't even see it until it was mentioned.
There are TWO of them!
Finally, a video that shows truckers can make mistakes too.
#28 if your gonna pass a truck on the right side, please keep your constant passing speed, dont slow down, better yet, dont pass on the right at all
#5 at 1:23 you can see the shadow of the U-Haul van on the lower left of the screen. 1:24 you can see the front ends of both the U-Haul van and the SUV some into view on lower left and it this point the U-Haul's wheels are crossing over into the lane to it's right. It looks like 35W northbound in Minneapolis. I like your analysis.
Hi there love the descriptions
#8 there were no cars cutting in front of the truck so I would conclude the trucker was distracted
This video is like a suspenseful movie Instant karma moments are the unexpected plot twists we all crave. Brilliantly captured 🎥🔄
16. I've had a tire come unglued like that. It's extremely loud and violent. Scares the 💩 out of you until you realize what's happening.
I used to drive a truck. One time, a semi was slowly passing along side me (3 or 4 lanes each direction) when they blew a drive tire. That explosion echoed LOUDLY between out trailers.
@Subangelis yeah I've seen 22.5s explode on the freeway too.
Remember, guys, road rage helps no one. Let’s try to be understanding and patient on the road.
#8 Again, ignore the storyline as that is NOT what happened, no 4 wheeler cut in at any time, the truck was simply going too fast and not paying attention to the road ahead.
Do you know how fast he was going?
1:55 we could call that distruckted driving. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
LED taillights!!
And if that driver had coasted and not touched his brakes, having them cleaned off wouldn't have mattered. Period.
As for LED... They produce zero heat, and get covered in snow a lot easier.
Wow, that third one seems almost deliberate. Hesitate, hesitate, hesitate..... NOW!
So sad when a semi falls on its side.
#18 car is 100% at fault, merging traffic whether be a ramp or just a lane is required to yield to whether there is a physical sign or not.
I have no idea who writes these idiotic captions, but @2:28, the truck clearly did not "leave adequate distance", as no 4 wheeler "cut into the lane". The semi was simply following too close for when the traffic ahead suddenly stopped (which is what you have to leave sufficient distance for).
For 40 years I kept a good distance, so I could BUY TIME TO STOP! city driving or OTR.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

#23 Again the storyline is WRONG, and blames the victim. Merging vehicle must yield.
Yep, didn't take long for me to realize like most dashcam channels nobody ever has the straight story. Shame on this channel for calling themselves a driving school and not even understanding traffic laws before assessing who caused an accident.
God bless the truckers, having to deal with utter morons out there!
Just when I start to feel a bit sorry for them then #29 comes along. What an idiot!
@1:28, wrong wrong wrong! The trucker did not try to change lanes, three car in the 3rd lane merged blindly, 2nd lane car swerved into the trucker. Are ye blind??
That's awesome. 5 min from my house. Central and McCord is in Toledo Oh.
Wow! A lot more instances of truckers driving badly in this video.
Many truckers drive too fast and follow other vehicles too closely.
I had to down vote this one, you've been showing a lot of previously shown clips lately dude.
Is this a reupload because I have seen almost every single one of these wrecks already on this channel?
#19 happened here in Dublin, Ohio. I know that section of road too well.
#16: Rare proof that an Indian driver CAN actually control a truck with a blowout....
Idiots passing truck then cutting in front of them too soon (like way too soon)!
some of the truck drivers in these clips need their licenses taken forever...
I was looking at the green car also
Truck drivers really need to go back to school and re-evaluate what they want to do
8:55 I see super truckers do this crap all the time and it’s annoying. The trucker had no right to force the cars out of his way. Sure the car drivers could have been nice and gave the guy some space (I certainly would have), but they were under no obligation to do so.
Look again. They had a stop sign. He had the right of way, but had to stop short of the sign to make a wide turn.
#4: Was taking a wet ramp too fast, not only loses traction, but ALSO flips his rig. I certainly hope this driver loses his CDL, because he has no business driving a truck!!!
Not only was the ramp wet, but it's also a decreasing radius turn.
2:18 Now that's ingenious! Get one out of the way so you have enough room to stop!
5:26 Maybe watching Jerry Springer.
8:22 There is a problem with this logic. Trucks have to drive beside each other all the time. What then??
This seems like recycled/ repackaged content.
Central and McCord is right by my gramps place! Small world
Who is the arm chair driver “storyline”?
So much for 'professional' drivers. Thankfully, most truckers read the road and drive accordingly. NEVER trust drivers of '4 wheelers'.
people coming to a full stop on the highway, but don't put their 4 blinkers on to warn the traffic behind.... i don't understand
1:00 I drive through there kinda regular when I have to got to Indy (from the airport in Hebron, KY). That's definitely not a FA/FO corner.
i thought #30 was about to take one for the team and stop that guy lol
3:03: ...bet he was just tired and on the verge of nodding-off....
Ppl. Trying to mess with a semi are just plain stupid 😂😂
Great video!
FedEx and UPS are in the top 2 for dangerous drivers in my book. My dashcam and i are always witnessing their carelessness.
9:15 lecture on what truckers provide was not needed here. We KNOW what truckers do, ffs
@ 00:04 - i didnt view that as a legitmate right-turn lane (anyone else?). I initially thought the suv was just being the vigilante road police (which would be stoopid, but what elee here isnt?).
7:00: A long caption that is written so well it's easily understood? 😲 You don't see that everyday on CZcams.
The one at 9:16 isn't bad, either.
#3 - I try not to do this, but if I do (the 4 wheeler), I carry a LOT of liability. I cannot imagine the collision damage to the truck and it's cargo.
True story
; worked with a lady in IT who started life at an insurance agency. Told me the story of a teen driver causing and at fault accident with a car carrier carrying 8 Lexus'.
1:28 that was intentional
2:22 skill points to the victim who moved over before more could happen.
That last clip, Really! You couldn’t see the white lites ahead in the lane you went to?
There's no such thing as a semi-truck, only semi-trailers, it's called a tractor truck.
2:28 WAS TRUCKS FAULT
Dude at 2:18 is FOS! Plenty of time to have stopped if he was paying attention!
#29 - in all fairness, you might chalk this down to be ignorant. For some reason, when people get in their car, the brain goes into the glove compartment. It's likely not intentional (some exceptions noted :)).
3:02 TRUCKS FAULT
Too many repeated videos on this one.
Whoever wrote these descriptions is questionable.
@5:43. That's a nice rig. Treat her better please sir. Thank you.
Almost all the time the speed is too high.
26 right!
9:15.. guess what.. they don’t have to wait and move for you… control your vehicle.. or get off the road. The law isn’t special for you.
8:28 Trucker is clearly at fault in this one. It looks like he left his lane to intentionally pit the other car in the other lane.
That one guy just needs to stay off the road
1:25 as s great as megadrivingSchool is this channel makes conclusions at times with limited or no evidence. The vehicles are not in view prior to the U-Haul approaching on an occupied lane be regardless of them speeding up we shouldn't even be brought up in this instance
Boy oh boy. how many of these trucks rear ending people could be avoided if the truckers were looking further ahead instead of focusing on the vehicle right in front of them that doesn't weigh 80,000lbs and can stop on a dime.
No the uhaul made an illegal lane change disregarding that the lane was already occupied
#5 Watch the video carefully and ignore the idiot that wrote the storyline as that is clearly NOT what happened. The U-haul van caused the other vehicle to swerve into the Semi, then fled the scene.
Totally the U-Haul driver's fault.
#28 the trucker was at fault for changing lanes without checking
These amatuer truck "drivers" need to learn they're not driving their mom's Mazda Miata.
INCREASE - DISTANCE
DECREASE - SPEED
DECREASE - EGO😂😂😂
I am sick and tired of transport drivers going on about their Blindspot. Guess what. Those big wing mirrors are there to eliminate blind spots. They need to be aimed and adjusted proprtjy
You are correct
