Hello there, I can tell you all that Barbie is home safe and sound in the Netherlands! And indeed she looks gorgeous!
Now I am collecting paterns to make her a stunning wardrobe with vintage fabrics. Love the PJ's that she had on during the restoration.
Thank you so much again for the opportunity! I'm glad to have worked on her! ❤️
I noticed that too. She looked real cute in those jammies.
I'm in awe of how shiney and new her hair became! I'll never forget the smell of a new Barbie on Christmas day! I still have several of my 60s and 70s Barbies. Thank you for this video!
Thank you! 🙏
I have watched this video a dozen times over the past few years, I’ve been gathering the courage to restore my mother in laws swirl, she needs lash reconstruction, plug work, finger work- the lot.
One day I will be brave enough
I never get tired of your restorations. I'm especially amazed at how well her hair fixed up! From the thumbnail i had guessed that you gave her a reroot.
Thank you very much! Funnily enough the hair was the easiest part of this project 😂
Yes. Sir, you are one of the best doll restoration artists I have seen. Thanks so much for the videos
The gentleness and kindness shown to this Barbie warms my heart. Fan for life!
You’re too kind, thank you!
I recently bought my first vintage Barbie (she’s a bubble cut one) and I was afraid of washing her especially the face, your video was so helpful
Thank you! I hope you enjoy your doll
Very gorgeous work
Thanks! 💕
Denture tablets and hair bleach! Wonderful restoration, this is my favorite Barbie.
Thank you 🤗
Nice work.
Thanks! ❤️
I appreciate your work and the care you put into it. Your soft voice and the piano music are lovely.
Aw thank you very much, I appreciate it 🥰
Your technique seems so gentle and thorough... and dare I even say- sensual..? OMG, I wish I could send ALL of my old Barbies to you, to let you work your magic on! 🙂
Fabulous job!!!
😂 Thank you! If you ever do decide to, you know where to find me 😏
Beautiful job!!!!!!!
💖💖💖💖💖💖
Thank you!! 🥰🥰
Oh. My. God. You're SO talented. Thank you for sharing, it was a pleasure to see every second of your incredible job. 😍
You’re very kind, thank you ❤️
Perfect
Thanks!
She turned beautiful, nice job!!💜
Thank you!
Hello! I realize that this video was done a year ago, but I am so thankful to have found it. I have a vintage ponytail that will need this type of treatment and when I am ready I shall be applying these tips-techniques especially the soak, she may need a year of it LOL! I have been playing this video over and over plus the others for over a week. (I think I moved in here Haha!) Your work is wonderful.
Well, don't just stand there, pull a chair and let me make you a cup of tea 😂
Thank you so much!
@@DoeDeerWonderland will do! Actually, I do watch from a chair and with tea. Thanks!
My #5 ponytail is soaking as I write. She will have to have an arm lightened further as you did this one with developer. Any tips you may give about that will be much appreciated. I won't have to paint, that was perfect. Never played with it appears. Just stored badly. Oh I ordered your pattern. Just waiting on the file download. :)
Got it!
Sorry, just saw your comment (argh, CZcams and its dysfunctional comment system!!)
You should only go down the developer road if all else fails to lighten it (i.e. denture tablets etc.)
The developer is really quite a simple process, you just have to check constantly on it to make sure it's not getting too light.
Thanks for purchasing the pattern!
I think of them like people, and you gave her a new lease on life!!
That's very kind of you ❤️
I’m awestruck. She looks amazing! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much 🙏
Always so calming to watch you work your magic. I love, too, that you put her in some comfy pjs while you worked on her hair! Cheers!
Thank you very much, I appreciate it 🙏
Of course, I needed to protect her modesty! 😂
Nice restore she looks very nice!😊
Thank you very much!
Thank you, so relaxing!
I loved that you put her in the beautiful pj's while she was having her hair restyled.
Her face is beautiful, I'm glad you did not change it completely, I think she has a lovely 60s look.
Of course, this was a restoration, not a OOAK :) thank you!
Have you thought of using a nit comb on your Barbies? You can obtain them at your pharmacies. In case you are unfamiliar with a nit comb it is used on humans who have head lice. I use them on my smaller dolls. I use them on my Chihuahua dogs if needed. I also use a dog slicker brush on my larger dolls hair. It's a loose open wire brush for thick long haired dogs. Thanks for all your cleaning tips.
That’s a good tip thank you!
I found your video so relaxing. You are so talented.
Thank you so much 💖💖
Again, I'm so stunned by your ability to mix the most beautiful colors 🥰 That lip color is so beautiful! And, of course, the restoration was absolutely stunning 💖
I feel really inspired to try painting one of my Barbie's nails :D Would you recommend priming and/or sanding first? If I use acrylic paint. Oh and what a clever idea to have just the smallest amount of varnish on your nail 👍🏻 There's always way too much if you just dip the brush straight to the bottle...
Aw thank you very much! 💖
Usually I find that the best way to go about nails is to spray the fingers with primer to give it some tooth, then dilute the acrylics, dab off the excess and apply, let dry and repeat until you reach a good opacity ☺️
If you don't feel like using primer on the nails, you can use straight up acrylics, but they may bleed into the vinyl in time, and it's also way more fragile, but it works
Omg it's one of your best restorations! I want her so bad 😞
Thank you! You're gonna have to fight her original owner for her 😭😂
Oh you did wonders to this poor thing!!!
Thank you very much 🙏
What fun! Like I’m playing Barbies! Ooo a bouffant Barbie! I had a red headed one when I was a kid. Thanks so much for this.
You are so welcome!
Beautiful
Thank you ❤️
💖💗 She's so beautiful. I love Barbie dolls.
I love this video.
Thank you ❤️✨
A tremendous job!!!
Beautiful.

Винтажные куколки очень красивые ,и не обычные !!❤❤❤
они действительно есть!
this is amazing. I have a doll whose body has turned orange. need to fix it and might try some of these methods!
Thank you! Good luck! ❤️
Amazing! What Patience!
Thank you!
As a person who restores dolls this is amazing ! And I would have never thought to use those tablets ! I have used acne cream for spots but this is amazing !
Thank you!
Unbelievable. Its great. Good Job!!! ❤
Thank you so much!
I love your videos so much. I learn a lot from you. She looks so BEAUTIFUL. I bet your client was thrilled. Thanks for the video.
She was quite happy! Thank you very much ☺️🙏
Really incredible. I would have thought that poor girl had had it. New subscriber!
Thank you so much!
Amazing job! 👏👏👏
Thank you 🙏🙏
¡Que bonito ha sido todo el proceso de restauración! Y la muñeca ha quedado preciosa. ❤
Muchas gracias! ❤️
Hi, sorry if you have answered this before, but how do the denture tablets work? I imagine they're abrasive, but they don't remove paint? Great work!
Hey, they're actually quite harmless in my experience paint-wise (factory paint, that is)
The only time I've had denture tablets do anything distructive was when they softened the glossy varnish from one of my projects.
So you're good to go I would say
Ur voice felt me so relax and soft... Thanks from Türkiye ❤
Thank you very much ❤️
What’s great makeover. She looks fantastic!
Thank you!
Ooooh your bathroom sink has upgraded! ❤
Well, it has downgraded actually, this is an old video unfortunately 😂
you deserve more views! this is beautiful!
Aw thank you! I guess my content just isn't clickbait-y enough for the algorithm 😅
Amazing talent
Thank you!
What a great job!
Thank you!
Really an amazing transformation....
Great work my dear..... 👍👍👍👍
Thank you so much ❤️
I love watching your work ! She looks great

Very therapeutic
Thanks!
She looks beautiful! You do such amazing work. I just love watching your videos.
Thank you so much!
Fantastic video. Thank you so much.😍
Thank you! ❤️
Thanks!
Omg, thank you so much, I really appreciate it!!
Great video
Thank you!
Beautiful job! ❤🎉
Thank you! 😊
Delicadeza, profissionalismo e leveza!
Thank you so much ❤️
gorgeous! is it better to keep original doll hair to this doll or add more hair for volume like you did with the brunette one. I like more volume. thanks.
Well, it is always best to keep it original, I just don't like swirls so I tried something different on mine, but on commission dolls you gotta stick to the script 😅
You did a stellar job, this is very inspiring! Great to see the denture tablets really helping. I'm with you there, i really do not like the "butter lips" look that a lot of collectors choose to retain, I'd much rather see them with the lip color they were intended with.
I did not know you could just pop the arms off the doll and put them back on? I've never tried that and would be afraid to. Glad to know it worked out.
Thank you! Yeah, as long as they're heated enough that they're soft, they come off very easily :)
Id love instruction on fixing nose nips and a scrape on my Bubble Cuts chin
👍👍👍👍Great!
Thank you :)
As always I’m delighted to watching you work. May I ask what was those tablets you used to soak the discolored extremities?
Thanks! They're denture tablets.
@@DoeDeerWonderland Thank you for that additional information. I have a further question. You said you soaked her in the denture tablets for about a week. Was it the same tablet all week long or do you have to periodically replace them with a fresh one?
I watch your videos over and over and love them! The 40 volume peroxide to remove stain from vinyl may damage the face paint?
It absolutely can, please be careful!
Wow, what a difference, but I think I'll stick with Silkstone Barbies, lol.
This is incredible, instant sub! Where in the UK are you? I’m in Southampton
Thank you! At the time of filming I was in Bristol, but have since moved to Italy :)
Restoring her to her glory
You’re honestly so good at this! Also I haven’t seen anyone use denture tablets to fix the discoloration 🫢 thank you so much for making these videos
Also how long do you usually keep the dolls in the denture tablet mixture and do you have to change the denture tablet water everyday and add new tablets?
That's too kind of you, thanks!
How often I keep them in the solution usually depends on how stained the doll is and how much the denture tablets can work, but yes, I do drop in a couple tablets every day to make sure it's still active :)
@@DoeDeerWonderland thank you so so much :D
I just got a red-haired bubble cut Barbie, she's in excellent condition except her make-up could be touched up and she has greasy face. I'm a novice and afraid to touch them! Any tips? I have a Ken from the same year and he needs new hair.
Practice on less valuable dolls first!
Excellent video! Do you know of anything to use on dark around Barbie # 4 earring holes? It looked like the doll probably had green ears, is why its dark around the ears.
Benzoyl peroxide, cotton ear muffs, and thread through the ear holes (all dipped in the cream of course) a little sunlight and a lot of patience!
Excelente!!!donde se consiguen esas muñecas antiguas?
Ebay!
@@DoeDeerWonderland gracias por la información🐱esas muñecas son tan lindas.
I have a #5 with really bad green ear that has spread to her face. I have soaked her head in CLR she cleared up but still has some that just won’t come off. What can I do to take the rest of it off.
Do you have an online store, or any restored dolls for sale via eBay or anything, you do an amazing job, I find your videos to be sooo relaxing, love your channel
Thank you so much! I do sell on Ebay once in a while, if you look up my name you should find some stuff I think :)
I loved the result!! What materials do you use to paint and whiten the doll's arms and legs?💖💖😃👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thanks. I do say it in the video :)
Love your work, lovely! I was wondering what the music was in the background if you might know?
Thanks! All the music I use is always mentioned in the description :)
@@DoeDeerWonderland thanks!
I used benzoyl peroxide on a discolored doll head and it was about 50% effective. But being that the doll is from the 1980s I just realized that those dolls had heavy metals in the plastic. I will try CLR to see if I get more results. What kind of chemical is developer ?
Developer is a mix of Hydrogen Peroxide and ammonia :) it's similar to Benzoyl peroxide, but much stronger and takes way less time. I tried Benzoyl Peroxide for a while, but I find it does little to nothing, even in the span of months..
@@DoeDeerWonderland thanks so much.
@@rg1whiteywins598 of course!
Beautiful! What paint color did you use for her eyebrows?
It's all custom mixed on the spot!
What colour type do you use??
Hi, thank you so much! Yes I did use hydrogen peroxide :)
She just had a bad fake tan on because she was embarrassed at how pale she had become from being in a box for 40 years
Oh god it's like a glimpse into my future..
Does the arm discoloration work on darker skintone ??😭I have issue on my teresa doll she has yellowing arms
It does!
What kind of paint do you use on these Barbie's?
Winsor & Newton acrylic paints :)
"Chihuahua hands"?? 😆
My hands are extremely shaky!
@@DoeDeerWonderland Ok, now i get it. Lol
how were you taken her hands out of this vintage body?
Not sure I understand your question, apologies 😅
@@DoeDeerWonderland hix sorry my English so bad.😅
I mean: how do you take the arms of doll off the body?
👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻☺️
What are those tablets you drop into the water?.
Denture tablets
@@DoeDeerWonderland kool... ty
My friend restores old Barbies and she washes the hair with wig shampoo and wig conditioner spray
Good to know!
