A friend of mine once said 5 or 6 shots isn't enough, because you need to factor in how many bullets per attacker. I told him "If I'm being attacked by more than one person, I'm probably already dead."
Most encounters, just displaying the firearm gets them to run. Once they hear the bang? I don’t think they’re going to stick around to find out how many shots you have.
