Understand it as the brakes are the same. Just without the servo (brakebooooster..) and if you can manage standing on one leg you should have enough legpower to stop it.
I fitted a 1.4L rally engine in my mini with drum brakes. You had to consider where you would need to brake before pressing the accelerator. The thing would launch to ludicrous speed in 2 seconds. Most impressive was 3rd gear from 40 to 70mph because the lower gears would just wheel spin.
So once they sell out, you’re never going to bring more in? I have a 69 Mk2 Automatic 1000 that I was going to convert to a standard and 1380… but. My uncle has decided to sell me his 69 Mk2 1275 S! So now I need to buy his car and then save up again for the turbo kit.
Looks quick, I'd like to see how long the standard gearbox and diff will last with that set up.

It does seem a bit counter intuitive to reduce braking efficiency in order to pile on the hp but I get it!
