Katatonia is an amazing band. Listened to them for many years. They deserve more exposure than they get.
Aaaaah Katatonia. Jonas is the greatest vocalist in my opinion. He could sing a shopping list and make it sound deep and meaningful.
Jonas Renske writes beautiful dark poetry in this band. He also is the bassist for Bloodbath. But he shines as the singer of Katatonia.
One of my all time favourite bands... Love them to bits and beyond... No other band creates atmosphere like this. I'm against religion as a concept but I could make an exception for Katatonia... yeah, Katatonia should be a religion...
Katatonia is amazing... I absolutely love The Great Cold Distance album. You should react to a song called Follower. And well then their Brave Murder Day is a legendary death/doom album that has influenced so many other bands. It has harsh vocals from Mikael Åkerfeldt of Opeth...
I would also add that the drummer doesn't get enough attention. The beats that guy lays down are insane.

Katatonia's album "Discouraged ones" is one of the most criminally underrated albums ever..
one of my favorite bands not many people know of, its awesome you guys watched them!
i had to come here after the My Twin reaction. Love this song...these guys capture all the greatest elements of Progressive music without taking 12 minutes to do so. The subtle lead layers, wide stereo vocal harmonies, piano background..there's so much nuance going on, but as a whole the song is a journey. Love it.

Katatonia has been one of my favorite bands for a good 9 years now. I own 4 of their albums, and 2 of their DVD's. Believe me, this song is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to their talent and melancholy.
