Last Fair Deal Gone Down is still my ultimate Katatonia album. Nothing beats it for song variety and catchiness.
Some of my other favorites from Katatonia are: The Racing Heart, Residual, Idle Blood, The Promise of Deceit, Shifts, Dead Letters, Deliberation
I think you would really like The Racing Heart as a showcase for the voice of Jonas. I absolutely love the ending where the instruments fade out and it's just him against the backing vocals.
But maybe Shifts has the most ethereal chorus, if you watch it with the official video, make sure to prepare some tissues!
I wish you would do The Night Subscriber. One of my favorite Katatonia songs, and I don't think that it gets enough praise 🤘

I’ve been listening to Katatonia for over 15 years now, and every time I play a song of theirs, it’s like the first time. I always hear something I didn’t catch before. They’re absolute masters at adding layers to their music without it starting to sound “cluttered.” Each part makes sense when you listen. Combine that with Jonas’ vocals, which are up there with Layne Staley in terms of uniqueness, and this is the result. There’s so many recommendations - Dissolving Bonds, Omerta, Inheritance, I can go on and on…
Amazing, this album is a 10/10! Can't wait for the other Katatonia reactions

From your reactions so far, I think it's fair to say that you will like anything from The Great Cold Distance and Dead End Kings. Also, Dethroned & Uncrowned is a more acoustic version of Dead End Kings, so I think you would enjoy that as well.

I went to an icelandic Metal Festival called Eistnaflug and heard that Bloodbath was gonna play and went just so i could see Jonas in person. After the show i waited in front of the backstage for almost 2 hours just for some staff to tell that they already left 😅
Hallelujah..I've been waiting. A couple more I'd suggest: Inside The City Of Glass, and Nephilim. Think they'd all be right in your wheelhouse. Cheers..or crys, if you'd prefer. 😢

If you love acoustic Jonas....you need to listen to the live acoustic album they did called Sanctitude...it is all live recordings on acoustic concerts which includes an acoustic version of Lethean...amazing recording

I really like their songs, especially when their lean more on the melodic side. There are a few others like that in this album, I think Hypnone is one. Serein as well, but I think that's from a different album.
I also love Jonas' singing. For me it is less the tone of his voice, though, although I like that as well. The important thing for me is his phrasing. His way of constructing a melody, of putting his lyrics into song. His choices of cues, pauses, and held notes baffles me. Nobody else does it like he does. The only other artist I know that I admire for her unique phrasing is Joni Mitchell.
Also, to me Jonas' melodies are tied to the music. Often, the melodies are not so interesting on their own. They are set to the music and become powerful alongside or in contrast to the underlying, surrounding, supporting band. Therefore, to me acoustic Jonas is not as cool as the original songs. But hey, I'm not complaining or dissing, just sharing my view. You go on and love the hell out of acoustic Jonas ;)
The comment left by @bernhardkrickl3567 nails why I enjoy Jonas' vocals and singing style and is displayed very well in this song!
Some suggestions:
From Viva Emptiness: Ghost of the Sun or Sleepers+Criminals, those two pair well together, I think.
Night is the New Day: Onward into Battle, Forsaker
City Burials: Behind the Blood (this one sounds way different than most of their songs, a bit more aggressive rock sound to it, but Jonas' vocals contrast VERY well against the music), Heart Set to Divide
Sky Void of Stars: Opaline, Atrium, Birds, Austerity
One of my favorites from this band but SOEN is much better. Martin Lopez is in the band
You should check out the first Katatonia album called "Dance of December Souls" that album has Jonas vocals too... just in a different way ;)
