@@dorthusiast at that time Hagrid thought Sirius was the backstabber bcoz he was the 1st person to show up at godricks hollow after james and Lilly's murder so Hagrid suspected Sirius but when he came to know that it was Peter Pettigrew. And Hagrid realized Sirius was innocent.

The way Hagrid screams as Harry enters the Forest will always ALWAYS made me sad. This is the child he has always fought to protect, the child he saved in Godric's hollow, the one who freed him from Azkaban. The pain that Coltrane gets across with so few words is immense.

It's because it's the first time Harry received anything home-made with love =) And the fact it wasn't a woman / mother type who made it for him but man, and a really scary looking man at that, makes it extra touching =) You can't judge a book by it's cover, it's a really good lesson to learn =)
@@angelkotilainen , yes and the fact that the cake had spelling mistakes made the scene even more touching. because of his poor education and probably clumsy hands, i guess the effort of writing the message was considerable. also he might have faced ridicule (from Harry or his relatives) because of the mistakes. but Hagrid was ready to risk it all in order to bring a sad lonely boy a bit of happiness.

Hagrid was a real stand-up guy. He kept secrets by the dozens for all the right reasons. He was pure in heart which only a very few can claim. But sometimes Hagrid made some big blunders.
He was the antithesis of Tom Riddle.
When you sum it up: Hagrid was the rare soul, humble and kind.
Imagine if Hagrid had been allowed to learn magic, specifically, the Patronus spell. That would have been such a powerful spell! 😲

He’s me fav character in general
Hagrid is brilliant, a gentle giant who shares the love of monsters we all have in us, yet is also a tragic tale of him being framed for a crime he didn’t commit, and how it affected the rest of his life. He’s an excellent character, and remains one of my favourite characters.
Hagrid would be such a powerful wizard if he continued his education.

Hagrid is without a doubt one of the most precious character in the HP series. I wish Albus’ middle name was Rubeus bc no one looked after and cared for Harry like Hagrid did.
Personally I don't think so, but I am a little biased because Snape is my favorite character. But I do agree that Hagrid cared deeply about Harry. Maybe Harry and Ginny got a pet and named him after Hagrid. After all, that'd be a bit more fitting, considering Hagrid's love for all creatures. :P
SoapyTurtles I think Snape did everything he did for Harry because he loved his mother and he was destroyed when she died. He didn't really care for him he even hated him a little because he looked so much like his father. So maybe they should named him Albus Rubeus and not Albus Severus.
Nena in the beggining of the HP movies he cared most for him because dumbledore want him too and because he truly loved Lily, but in the later movies he grew into like the boy and care for him so i think severus fits better but i get your and all others points.

Imagine how overpowered of a wizard Hagrid would have been had he had 7 years of Hogwarts education, and his proper wand in one piece. Hagrid as a full educated wizard with a wand and knowing how to duel on top of being a tank to most spells would be a very hard person to take down by most wizards.

Actually since Harry got to name James and Albus, Ginny got to choose Lily Luna's name and named her after one of her close friends Luna, thats why her middle name is Luna. In my headcanon though I gave Harry and Ginny another daughter named Ruby Molly, after Rubeus Hagrid and Molly Weasley.

Hagrid is my second favorite character in the HP series (behind Fred and George). He is such a kind, down to earth, caring and brave soul. He was always so kind and helpful to Harry and his friends, especially being protective of and always there for Harry when he needed him. I also truly appreciate everything Dumbledore did for Hagrid (one of the reasons I like Dumbledore) and Hagrid's loyalty to Dumbledore and to all he cared about was so sweet.
Honestly, I wish Harry would've named one of his children after Hagrid, I mean it's the least Harry could've done after everything Hagrid has done for him, plus how close they have been for his whole life. Snape didn't deserve to be named after one of Harry's kids considering how he bullied Harry, his friends and other students for years and Harry never liked him anyways, so it doesn't make sense why one of his kids wasn't named after Hagrid.

Fred and George are two characters not one lol.
And Severus absolutely deserved to have Harry's child named after him. He literally gave his life up for Harry. He truly regretted who he had been as a Death Eater, and he didn't really bully Harry so much as just dislike him. But despite that, he gave up everything to keep Harry safe, and went to enormous lengths to ensure he could defeat Voldemort-all out of a duty he felt to Lily. He was a complex man, and I think he definitely redeems himself in the end.
He may have targeted the trio some as a way to take points away from Gryffindor, but I'd hardly call that bullying.
Also I'm pretty sure Hagrid is still alive when Harry's children attend Hogwarts. And while you can name a child after an important person to you who is still alive, it's arguably more common in fiction at least to name them after someone who died. It's symbolic.

When I watched the movies and read the books I didn't pay much attention to Hagrid but now after Robbie Coltrane's death I see his amazing performance and now I appreciate how great he was.

RIP 😭, Robbie Coltrane was the best casting choice in probably the entire franchise. It’s unfortunate he passed away but one thing is curtain, “there’s no Hogwarts without you hagrid” but now it’s time to move on but Hagrid will still always be my favorite character. Probably the most father like figure for Harry, better than Dumbledore and Sirius, Hagrid was always there
One thing that bothers me about Harry's trio is that when it came to the sixth year they dropped hagrid's course had it not been for hagrid in his courses and a Year's prior to to it they would have been big trouble with the magical creatures that hagrid told them about

Hagrid‘s life may be a little sad at first, but I think it turned out to be the life. He deserves for the happy part not the sad part though he does not deserve all that sad part he’s so nice.

If you think about it, Hagrid was just the info characters, but still so much more. Having a kind heart and loving soul, he’d do anything for the ones he loved. He might’ve seemed tough, but if his friends and family get hurt, much like a unicorn, his anger knows no bounds. He was more loyal than anything, resembling Fluffy’s relation to him. He was scruffy and powerful, much like Norbert. All his personalities can match up to the creatures that he had cared for over the years.
Weird how maternity isn't in a giants nature, yet hagrid is more then willing to love oddball animals. Even a spider that can grow roughly the size of a car.

Hagrid is the best father figure to Harry in the entire series. He hardly ever argued with him, he supported him, he showed him cool creatures, he was insanely loyal in his own way, and he was the first and last thing we see in this series. Hagrid carrying Harry.

Chris Thurber I think they can only ever have one wand throughout their life span , no wand is the same and the wand chooses their wizard or witch, also his wand WAS broken so he couldn’t exactly use it anymore which I’m guessing is why he used an umbrella as a wand but obviously since it’s an umbrella it can’t really preform many spells that a wand can but then again Hagrid CANT preform many spells because he never finished his schooling at Hogwarts

The theory about Dumbledore fixing his wand and having him conceal does seem like something Dumbledore would do. Also I don't think the umbrella by it self would be able to channel magic the way a wand does.

There is a theory I love (I do not take credit for it), where Hagrid is allowed to go back to Hogwarts and finish his schooling as an adult. However he is have a lot of trouble producing a patronus, Harry hears about this and tutors Hagrid, just as Lupin had tutored him. Finally, Hagrid produced a patronus which brought tears to Harry, because Hagrid patronus was in the form of a familiar snowy owl. Hagrid looked at Harry, tears beginning to well in his eyes, "I was the one who brought her to yeh, and it was my fault she left. Figured this'd help carry her legacy"
