      Grace Luna , so update, i did add milk like you did, and i keep stirring for about 20-30minutes and the rice was really soft then ! i guess u just have to be patient with the rice cause it does take time

    • @graceluna3247
      @graceluna3247 Před 3 lety +1

      Jazlyn Tlatenchi HAHAHAHA my rice burned at the bottom 😂😂😂 and it ended up boiling over lol I don’t think I simmered correctly! And yes, I think the cooking time is longer because it’s 2 cups of rice. I made another recipe the other day using 1/2 cup of rice and 1 cup of water and it cooked very quickly. My rice still ended up hard :( tasty in flavor but hard :( will have to try again!

    • @jazlyntlatenchi9022
      @jazlyntlatenchi9022 Před 3 lety +2

      omg no way ! mine ended up burning too and boiling to the top ! but the rice was still soft , it’s so weird that ur rice was hard still thru all of that, my mom just told me that to warm up the milk BEFORE u put it to the pot that way the rice will soften and it won’t get stick to the pan , maybe you should try this way , she told me right after i made it smhh !😐

    • @craftywife
      @craftywife  Před 3 lety +1

      Hello I’m sorry hun , so with milk and rice you have to be very careful because it will get stuck to the pot so you always have to make sure you are stirring & my stove temp was at med-low heat ! Everyone’s stove temp is different if you see your rice still needs more cooking just add a bit more milk and leave it on the stove for 10min longer but making sure to stir ! Arroz con leche can be very easily burned so make sure you keep an eye on it when cooking it
