This is the official CZcams channel for Law & Order. Watch all of the official clips from the series, some of the best moments from within the criminal justice system, where the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: The police, who investigate crime, and the district attorneys, who prosecute the offenders. - Zábava
The grandmother was played by Meg Mundy, best known as “Mona Aldrich Croft” on the New York City-based soap, “The Doctors” (1963-1982). L&O always loved using NYC soap actors and actresses-local talent.
These early episodes are artifacts...amazing how much the city has changed in 25 years
Great point actually. There was a show made in Toronto around the same time called Night Heat. Same thing, recorded history of a great city on the verge of irreversible change...
Ratboy2004 Hell yes, Night Heat was a terrific show. Sonny Grosso! Toronto has changed and is changing in a lot of the same ways NYC has. I don’t know, I can’t say whether it’s good or bad, but it does seem that the city is becoming one large shopping mall.
Thats what everyone says. But the homeless look the same
Well right now thanks to comrade bill it's going back to these good ol days
Trip down nostalgia
I love how he pulled the cop car right up and Willie ran right to the back door of it 😂
The gun showed him the way
In the first season the characters used to yell and argue with each other more often than the following seasons.
One of my favorite episodes. To me many of the cases covered in Season 1 are still timely today. Love the original Law and Order.
Most of them are based on true stories: Charles Stuart, Tawana Brawley, etc, etc.
I like the appearance of Captain Macwell, aka Warden Norton at the hospital.
Chris Noth was SO gorgeous as Logan. So happy he came back in '98.
@@chriswalter8092
Heh heh heh.
HEH HEH HEH!
He was very handsome.
Most gorgeous man alive
Indeed
1:40 - that's Warden Norton from "The Shawshank Redemption"
You got the Warden from Shawshank Redemption and Janice Soprano on here.
Oh, yeah Shawshank
And Barone too from Sopranos as the cop in the beginning
Greavy and Logan were my favorite combo.
I liked Brisco and Logan. I think that all the different characters have their own charm.
Yep the were awesome.
So a man and his wife, dressed for the evening in formal wear, are shot...
and the only survivor is their 9 year old son...
here's to hoping they weren't billionaires.
Love the batman reference
Batman
@@sakurawinters8301 no you dont! You only love me!
And a black man was arrested
@@mohwe1007 and? his prints were at the scene. They weren't fabricated
guest stars: roxanne hart? ROXY HART? "he had it comin.."
I was the 3000 subscriber, also I watched law and order 3 times in span of 2 yrs helped me adjust a lot of my english listening skill.
It's Janice Soprano! lol
Aida Turtorro. I think she is also John Turturro's real life sister.
@@HoldenNY22 i was most surprised to see her in "Deep Blue Sea", but i loved the other episodes she was in, esp. the one where she's a chatty receptionist, "who MAYBE knew the name"-Lennie later jokes that even SHE would remember that (city) name. (The episode about the woman who kills her sister & assumes her identity; the legal plot is about the bench judge & Jamie Ross' sexuality.)
HoldenNY22 , she’s his cousin.
All the while the wife and lawyer did it! Turns out that her household is where you don’t want to raise kids! Great classic episode
Why would he throw away his crack pipe? This single use disposable world that we are living in just can't continue on like this. It's far too wasteful.
Sean Webb lmao😂😂😂
A true eco warrior washes his crack pipe, only with natural untreated whole grain gluten free organic water
@@RamblingRandomly Oh I don’t fall for the natural fallacy. Simply hand wash your glass items in hot water with a mild detergent. Maybe use a small brush.
He said he couldn't find the pipe bc the light went out! Broke the case
@@annie7395 Why would the pipe be in British Columbia? The story is set in New York City. Completely different coasts.
Janice Soprano is here as well as Warden Edward Norton! Shawshank Redemption!
The uniform cop at the beginning was Dick Barone.
@@paulfrantizek102 I remember him on Third Watch. I think the guy playing the doctor used to be on the Nickelodeon show Hey Dude as well.
I actually believe the kid. It's just too pat. I'm sure the wino saw him there, he did admit he was present. But like Greevy said, 2 armed robberies with knives. Burglaries etc, but nothing with guns. Of course they have to arrest him, but it just doesn't ring true that he was the shooter.
I think the family Lawyer is played by Geoff Demunn, he was friends with my late stepfather. I met the guy once in the late 90s.
Bojack727 sure ya did kid and im a member of the mafia
@@jacobsaccount9353 Its honestly not that farfetched for the late 90s.
That’s Bob gunton
Chris Noth was also in 3 episodes of Hill Street Blues.
The hospital scene with the guy who was their lawyer, HES literally almost doing the same scene years later in “ The Departed” with Leo DiCaprio ! Leo’s mother just died and he’s asking him if he needs anything and Leo tells him off...
2:09 I want to ask the Warden when do we eat?
1:55 I'm not as good at facial recognition as Khan, but... Star Trek TNG, Captain Ben Maxwell from "The Wounded". His facial expressions and mannerisms are very similar.
Same actor, Bob Gunton. Was also in JFK.
Logan running that kid down....hmmmm...love these old episodes
Everybody’s favorite bagman was the best episode of season 1 other than the blue wall
Isn't Janice supposed to be in Jersey?
Honestly...what would Tony say?
His judgement cometh and that right soon
This was a good episode...
Janice Soprano still can't keep quiet!
Hey, it's the warden from The Shawshank Redemption.
It's a GODDAMN CONSPIRACY!
Treblaine looks like a scum bag here as well.
Bob Gunton....great character actor
And Janice from Sopranos
Fantastic actor.
You know a show is old when someone is carrying around a boombox in one of their earliest episodes.
I’ve never seen the full episode before, I wonder if that wino got the 50k reward for pointing him out
The guy he pointed out wasn’t guilty, he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time
NOW he asks for a lawyer!? o_o;
The guy that said the 50 000 was the warden in shawshank
He just wanted to sell books!
Janice shot them
Drunk driving is the stupidest thing anyone can do.
Absolutely!
Savvy veteran move there by Creesy. Why run when you can trap the suspect with the police car.
IT'S JANICE FROM THE SOPRANO'S AT 1 MIN IN
Warden Norton, what are you doing out of Shawshank?
Shawshanks Warden!
Good one. i have a crazy memory!! EDIT: i watched every episode 30x on TNT & own sn 14 on DVD. Ritchie Coster in "Bodies" was EXCELLENT.
The "Bodies" episode is my favorite of all.
@@thomashartmann2891 Oh, wow! It ties with "Mushrooms" for me as a favorite. Coster's performance as the corrupt DEA agent Kevin Almonte was also a favorite. He's a fantastic actor.
Janice soprano!
I like the black guy's acting
Hey, it's Lieutenant Swersky as a patrolman. Must of changed his name as he worked his way up the ranks :)
first season of L&O looks like French Connection. :)
Chris big...Mr. big with his original nose....im in 100%
Did he get plastic surgery?
Wow the Warden from Shawshank Redemption, and Tony Soprano's sister?
Man, I thought the NYPD was sketchy now.
Uh, Cragen with the completely ridiculous rant.
Is that Vanessa William's from season 1 of Melrose Place?
Yes she has a distinctive voice.
As I said the first law and order are the best
It's the warden from the shawshank redemption
I just saw Shawshank for the first time a few months ago.
Where can I watch Law and order season 1-5 outside of the US without copyright infringement? 😢 can’t find any resources at all.
It's so noisy in the city
I Know NYC Very Well!
Kool moe dee
Sounds like Charles Stuart
You're wasting your time asking Janice for information. Soparno's do not rat. Lol.
Notice how the rotund one is in the car....
I miss that rap style of rap music.
Maria Zahedi yes, I was grooving to it too’
Maria Zahedi everyone does.
I'm so mad I can't figure out this rap song
Janice Soprano again.
Heeeeeyyy! What's Tony's sister doin in ny??!!😉
What year does this take place in
1956.
1990.
@@TheBatugan77We didn’t have touch tone phones yet
The wife did it
Why? For money?
@@maytc2011 yes it was the money and because she was more in love with her side dude.
Is that Michael Jai White?
