There are three factors which determine why a machine would not be able to perform optimally. There are always two causes to point out in these three factors why the machines would not be able to work at 100%: planned and unplanned causes. Therefore, we also call the OEE analysis the six big losses analysis (i.e. 3 x 2 = 6)
