Okay I didn’t see this until after I placed the order for the solar powered lights. I believe that even for double the price. I made the right choice. Now let’s see if I can get them on. No sunroof. Your part about the noise helped but the glare was the best information. Looks like the wire could be a hassle too. Someone commented about using the passenger side. For a shorter connection route.
Yup you may be able to use the passenger side, I just took the path of least resistance.
How are the solar cab lights working for you? Is it the cab over America? Or the customsunlimited ?

What weather strip did you use along the piller to hide the wire
The one that came in the kit BUT I would highly recommend getting the wire hider from kc hilites. It looks and functions much better.
That is nice 👌 but, I think looks much better the one with single lights, look forward to seeing that in your channel.
Hello, I wanted to ask you if when you go at speed the air is noisy or not?
I thought I did so I removed it but turns out it’s my mirror making the wind noise
For the wire, what if you just applied heat shrink to the whole section of wire then tucked it in behind the windshield gasket? Would stay hidden and not have to use that wire channel piece at all.
Yep that may work. I couldn’t get the wire to tuck under the windshield gasket on the lower half of the windshield, something was stopping the wire from squeezing in
Una pregunta la aerocab cuando vas a velocidad no hace ruido con el viento????
There was a slight whistling noise that I thought was from the aerocab but after removing the aerocab I found it was actually the recirculation door on my climate control.

Nope, but there’s a different part number for rams with the sunroof. The one in this video is not compatible.
Is this DOT approved? I’m looking to install this on my ram 2500 for hotshot trucking.
I’m not sure what the clearance light requirements are for DOT but I’m sure some internet research will tell you what you need to know

Less talk more action. I'm a visual type of guy. And I would still go to the fuse box not routing my wire around the radiator to the relay. To much work for the same results. Fuse tap your done. Drop your ground by the battery.. reason you have a fuse box. Taking the shroud of taking twice the time ya fuse box all the way. The wire coming put of the cab light could have been more to the corner you just moved it another inch witch really did not hide it anymore but whatever floats your boat or in this case light up your day! Lol
There’s a thousand ways ti accomplish this, here is why i ran mine this way on my truck. My drl circuit is already installed and it allows me to keep all my acc lights isolated on a single circuit, there’s a switch installed that I can turn them all OFF if need be so I have controllability which is nice. Shroud takes a few minutes to remove and there plenty of factory wires routed across the upper member to sister this wire against so no brainer selecting that route.
If this was my only light I would have ran an add a fuse but I already have my switch panel tied into my fuse box and there is limited space and circuits for running multiple add a fuses.

YeH, hate to say it, the aerocab lights coming off the truck today. The wind noise is driving me nuts.
Someone on CZcams just installed the flat LED alone. And it didn't look bad at all

No major wind noise, the tape holds great so it’s not going anywhere
They need just the dang led strip that we can attach and cut the price, or even mounted from the inside.
Not sure how good that would look. A fella did that on youtube and to me it looked unfinished.

I no longer own this truck so can't say for sure but I don't see why the lights wouldn't still be working.

Good vid, i wonder how hard it would e to source a white led strip, now that they are everywhere and really cheap. I cant stand the amber color, and in Florida we have no dumb laws about the color.
Not sure you'll be able to find one with t his specific set up but maybe you can buy an led strip and disable the leds you don't want ON when the truck fires up. Alternatively you can go with some roof mounted clearance lights. Cab Over makes wireless ones in white.
Why not just put the light strip on the roof? That plastic mount is hideous.

Great video again. I was wondering if you are still using the auxbeam 8 gang to run your lights. Aldo xan you reccomend a bracket for under my rear bumper probably will ho with 6 inch lights. So tired of having issues backing into my driveway or anywhere . Thanks and keep the videos comming
Check out the reverse bracket from dark dune it attaches to the hitch
@@WaterFowler41 hey there so I am really interested in that mount. Can you tell me how you would run the wiring. Would you do it like you did the others to the switch or tap into the wiring harness. I really like that you can spread it out I have most of my issues on each side of the back . Appreciate ya

What are the specs on the relay?
Just your regular run of the mill 12 v relay from the auto parts store
Nice video. Product looks like junk though. I’m not into sticking double sided tape onto my >$100k TRX I could see that blowing off in time. Not for me. Again, nice video and thanks for your time.
