- In this video I install the new base retrofit kit from Paragoptics in my 2020 Ram Rebel. My truck did not come with any ambient lighting so in order to add this kit, I needed to run all new wiring harnesses.
This project wasn't hard but it was certainly tedious so hopefully my video helps provide some guidance for you if you are planning to tackle this work.
Here is a link to the specific kit I used but make sure you are ordering the correct kit for your truck. There are several variations that are slightly different depending on your truck.

And all Ram had to do was put it in all our trucks so we don’t have to go through all that lol it’s a job for sure

Thanks for posting this. I did this install about two months ago, but didn't have the skill or patience to make a video. Not too complicated, but my hands are big enough there were a couple tricky steps. I spent probably 12 hours doing this, but I stopped at a few points to reconsider the approach I was taking. Getting the front door boots free was a pain. The tip given in their install video to use a rigid straw to snake the wires through the boot was perfect, highly recommend. The light pipe above the glove was difficult for me, thick fingers. I did find that you can easily remove the vent to the right of the glove box by just popping it straight out of its clips. That gave me a bit better access and I could see inside with a small mirror to better see what I was trying to do. I have a red 2020 Rebel, also went with the red lights. Love the final look!
that is by far the best detailed install video i have ever seen to date..Fantastic job , Congrats and it does look amazing.. i have a 2019 Ram Sport, it is equipped with the front footwells ambient lighting, but nothing else...i sure love that glove box led tube and emailed Paragoptics a few times with no replies? are they still operating?
I believe they are they just released more interior lighting upgrades for our trucks.

Looks good! However I could never do this. I wouldn’t have the patiences nor would I want to know how much this would cost to have installed. Guaranteed to be over 1k in labor.

These look awesome but no way I’m I going to pay that or attempt to tackle that job lol wish they copied ford with the rgb interior lights. My wife’s 2012 ford edge had that feature and it was my favorite !

apparently they got nothing for the quad cab. the crew cab in the menu select works, the quad is just a picture. bummer
I want to order this for my Rebel I got yesterday. It is a 2021. However I am not the most mechanically inclined. Some of what you do looks very easy. Meanwhile some scares the hell out of me. Not sure what I will do. I most likely will try to find someone to help me. That and won’t charge an arm or a leg.
It’s not too bad, just take your time. Every piece has a home. It’s just plugging things in.
My 2020 limited is well lit at night love the ambient light but wish I can change colors like my Mercedes’ E class
You can replace the leds in your oem kits with paragoptics’ led only kit

Does this kit come with a dimmer? I know the Factory Ambient Lighting has a dimmer.
The kit uses the factory ambient dimmer
Hi I have a ram 1500 Larame 2020 which already has a light inside the door, a dashboard and a floor lights. I would like to change them for the multicolor LED, as appears on the video above. Can I use the existing hardness for installation of the new lights? I am wondering if connectors would match. Would you please send me a link where I can purchase the LED lights kit. Thank you for your help.
You can replace all the LEDs in your existing kit with ones that are a single color. I believe Paragoptics sells red, green, blue, and cool white. There is no completed RGB color changing kit yet. Since you already have the wiring run, your project will require just simple LED chip/lamp swaps and no wiring runs.
Is there any difference between your year and a 22?
No, same inner workings, process is identical so long as the 22 did not come with accent lighting.
The doors seem like the difficult part. Can I just do the dash lights and glove box?
I don’t see why not but I would verify with paragoptics. Not sure if you will have errors show up on your dash if you install half the system
